I came in for a much needed pedicure and the staff were all super friendly, helpful, and professional. They did a fantastic job and although I'm only visiting, would highly recommend!

We called on Wednesday and asked for two gel manicure appointments. They told us they could accommodate one at 3:30 PM and the second one afterwards. Alternatively, if we wanted to be seen together, they could schedule both for 5:00 PM. We chose to wait for the 5:00 PM appointment as we wanted to sit together and enjoy our girl time.
We arrived at 4:45 PM, picked out our colors, and waited for the staff. The first red flag was that they asked us to scrub our own nails. There was a brush near the sink with some soapy water. I’ve never had to scrub my own nails before; this is usually part of the manicure service in any U.S. state and even overseas. So be prepared to scrub your own nails yet pay a premium for a subpar service.
However, this was not the worst part. While they took my daughter a little after our scheduled appointment time, which was okay, I sat and waited for an hour.
I’m not kidding—I checked the time. Someone approached me at 6:00 PM asking if I still wanted to get my nails done and promised she would be quick. I refused to start my manicure an hour late. I also didn’t want a “quick” manicure for the price they charge. I wanted a quality manicure while getting quality time with my daughter. They have ruined two hours of my vacation time - an hour of sitting in their salon waiting plus the travel time to their salon. I could have been enjoying myself at the beach.
The least they could have done was comp my daughter’s manicure, but they didn’t even offer that. She was charged $57 for a subpar job.

Terrific place where residents go too. I called around 11 am on a Wednesday and they could take me in a 1/2 hour. Happily walked across the street while my husband was at Chayanid for a haircut (great). Everything was very clean - floors, basins, and chairs. I watched an employee wipe down the whole chair, arm rests - everything after the last client. Everyone there was super nice. Nicole was AWESOME, we had a good conversation and she did a terrific pedicure. LOVE my color. She's there in the summer and on occasion when her sister is out of town. The women (nail techs and guests) gave me great recommendations for things to do and places to eat (Sunset Kai Lanai, Napua fish ponds, Gypsea Gelato, Observatory, Green sand beach, Patisserie Nanako). I'd go down a star as they took me 20 minutes late. However back up a star as they apologized for the wait AND Nicole fixed my big toe after I smooshed it just getting in the car. Was adorned with disposable flip flops and delighted with the results. $40 for the pedicure, reasonable rate and par with what we pay at home.

The place was busy. All the nail techs were with a customer, so they just be popular. (I was referred by a local, so I understand) My only complaint is the pricing. It was$70 for a fill. Plus gel and tip, it was almost$100... I know things are expensive in Hawaii, but dang! All said and done it was a good fill, however, and I have no issues recommending them if you need to get a refresh while visiting.

I got my nails done as a walk-in and there was a small wait but it was a popular and busy place. They fit me in and I couldn’t have been happier. My tech was really nice and did an incredible gel polish!

I made an appointment for a gel pedicure. When I walked in it was busy, but they took me right away and put me in a chair. Imagine my shock when a large man sat on the stool to do my gel pedicure. I was wearing shorts and immediate put my knees together, which is not that comfortable with your feet up on the pedicure platform. But he was right there, eye level with my nether regions, seriously!?? I was shocked and considered getting up and leaving but did not want to cause a scene. He grabbed my foot to begin. When done and he wanted me to switch feet, he'd SLAP my foot and make a motion with his hand to get on with it, already!! He was so rude, I really just could not wait for him to finish!! He also poked me really hard when doing the cuticles and when I flinched, said: "What's the matter!" He obviously hates his job and women. It was extremely uncomfortable, embarrassing, and definitely NOT a 'spa' experience. They charged me $60 and I gave him a $12 tip. I will never go back. By the way: we LIVE in Kona, right down the street. And I was referred to Hot Nails by our really good friend, a Kona resident who is one of their long time clients. I guess they thought I was a tourist who would not come back and guess what....that's the truth....Never again!!

Debbie was wonderful! She is very professional and friendly. I came in needing to get my gelx nails taken off and she took her time to make sure I didn't have to leave the soak on for too long.

They were able to get my husband and I in for a mani/pedi quickly at the end of the day on a Friday! The staff were super friendly and the vibe was friendly and easy. They gave us tons of great recommendations for our trip. My mani/pedi survived a weekend of beach and pool intact.

if you want to get robbed, this is the place to go! my friend and i made appointments for 3 pm. we were not seen until 3:45 and it was the most expensive gel manicure i've ever received. wouldn't have been an issue if it lasted a long time, but it lasted me about 3 days before it starting chipping (which never is an issue for me with gel in the 10 years I've been getting it). avoid at all costs.

Over priced with poor service. Very very expensive, pedicure no massage nothing special at all, for nails very fast and again no massage or anything just put lotion and that's all. Seriously Honolulu, way less price for high quality services. And very unsanitary,

Good. And cute color choices, but wayyyyy too expensive to stay a regular customer sadly :( wish they had kama’ aina or reasonable prices. Cost almost $200 for gel mani pedi plus tip!
