Love this pharmacy. I am a physician, and have dealt with my prescriptions getting lost, etc. at any pharmacy you care to mention. I find Costco remarkably reliable and by far the cheapest for most meds. The most recent example: Same antibiotic, same number of pills from Costco--22 dollars and an (I will not specify) common chain pharmacy--131 dollars! As for promptness, yes, every pharmacy has unexpected delays as sometimes meds are not in stock, etc. However, as long as you have the text notification from Costco for your prescription, I have never found it to fail. You just go to the pharmacy when they tell you it is ready, and not before. It is true that just taking some employee's word as to when a med is ready is absolutely never a good idea at any pharmacy. Rely on the text notification (you should speak with pharmacy to find out how to set up online). Saves lots of time and aggravation.

Almost five stars. Service is great and most prescriptions are cheaper. No membership needed. Just roll on in there!

Horrible, over 3 hour wait and nose pray is still not ready. A nose spray... it's not like they have to make the stuff.... so slow.

Like most Costco pharmacies, huge wait, slow service. Not worth any difference.

Wife recommended to use them because they were closer, she immediately regretted it when they made her late for work. They had the prescription for 4 hrs so you would think they had it ready? Noooo, they told her 20mins when she arrived to pick up, 1 hour later it was ready! Lol! She said others were complaining while waiting. Of course they don’t care, “we’re the only Costco here, we do what we want!!” Going back to Walmart..

Hello, I am making a complaint about the service I received at the tire center in Costco located in Kona. I had 4 new tires installed today, 4/26/2022. I made the recommended appointment for 1 pm. I was able to drop off the car at 12:45 pm for service. I received a call at 1:50 pm that they had just started to work on it and that there were some issues with the car. I said it was fine just get the car done. I went to check on the progress of the car at 2:30 only to see that the car was only on the lift and no work was being done. I check on the car again at 3 PM and the only progress that was done was that the old tires were removed from the rims, and again no one was working on the car. I talked to the tire center manager wondering why it was taking so long for an appointment and only got generic excuses of "guys taking lunches". this was my first experience getting tires done at Costco, and this will be my last experience. it is honestly pathetic that I can get better service at any of Costco's competitors. I have worked for these competitors so I figured Costco must be better, apparently not. I already plan to take my money to any other tire store. A nearly 3-hour wait for a 45-minute, single-person, job is unacceptable.

As a Costco member I have to say I was very disappointed in this location. The employees that we interacted with including the person at the front door were rude and seemed as though they hated being there, completely unhelpful and almost to the point of be condescending. We left without purchasing anything and will never be back.

I haven't visited many Costco locations outside of Washington state, but I think it will be my new goal every time I travel! You just never know what will catch your eye. Typically, when my family vacations, we usually stay in a hotel and have no need for buying in bulk. However, for our latest trip to Kona, we stayed in a house and decided to purchase some staple items for the week. It was fun to see the variation in merchandise compared to what we have back in Seattle. At the bakery section, when we saw their guava cheesecake, we just HAD to buy it. This is something we definitely can't get at home! It was absolutely scrumptious. The guava jam on top was sweet with a perfect tartness and the cream cheese layer was flavored lightly with guava too! The guava danish was super tempting as well, but that's where we had to draw the line and have some self-control. Given the long lines at checkout, the staff at this location was all about efficiency and did something I've never seen before. For shoppers like us who didn't have a ton of items in their cart, one of the employees pulled us aside to a makeshift checkstand near the Tire Center. She left everything in the cart and just turned all of our items in such a way that the barcodes were visible. The cashier with the handheld scanner rang all of it up in less than 15 seconds, like a ninja! It was amazing. Wherever you are, you can't go wrong with Costco!

This is directed at the pharmacy. As far as shopping at the rest of the store goes,. I'm completely satisfied. I had to go to the ER on Monday of this week because of high blood pressure and chest discomfort. Then Tuesday my PCP called in a prescription for a heart medication to Costco. On Thursday I had heard nothing further so I called my PCP. The Rx had been sent in on Tuesday. I called Costco pharmacy to see what was going on. Whoever I talked to (female) was very snippy with me. She said my Rx was "in the process of getting filled" and would be done by the end of the day. There was no need to call back. I would be notified by text when my Rx is ready for pickup. Now if there's nothing else, goodbye. So I waited till the end of the day. No text from Costco. I called management and was referred right back to the pharmacy because "we have nothing to do with that". So, I take it, management doesn't manage? So, three days after I went to the ER I still don't know when I'm going to get my heart medication. What's wrong with this picture, Costco?

This review is for the rudelman (I'd say gentleman but that would be a lie) with the long black hair with the glasses that works drop off at the pharmacy. You are Cold, rude and mean to chronically Ill patients. You clearly have no idea what we go through. At first I thought maybe you suffer from a chronic Illness because of your behavior. We receive enough discrimination from our bodies and from other medical professionals during acute flare ups. I always smile and I'm always nice and this last time was really hard for me and you were especially rude. I don't have the pleasure of avoiding you because my prescription is marked for my exact refill date. I'm having one of the most painful surgeries you can have next month but you'll have my husband to answer to look up to he's a real man. I hope that you find the love and care you need to stop being so vapid. It sucks the life out of me.

I highly recommend stopping by Costco when visiting Hawaii. Hawaii is expensive and getting items here will save you a lot of money. This Costco carries interesting local items like macadamia nuts and Kona coffee, but you will also find items that you would get at a luau, like Lomi Lomi Salmon and poi! It was also fun to check out local items in the snack section, like Tempura Squid Snacks, Crispy Shrimp Cheeks, and Macadamia Popcorn Crunch. We picked up some fresh papayas and pineapples and also some fresh Ahi and Blue Marlin to grill. There was also fresh Mahi Mahi, Ono, and Opah available when we were there. And three different kids of poke! You will even find Hawaiian shirts and sarongs here! As we left, we couldn't resist the outside food court to pick up some $1.50 hot dog/drink combos for the crew.
