This is the best school for learning kiteboarding, these guys are truly Jedi masters pro riders and instructors. Also located on great beach for checking out the sport to watch them do big air, plenty of shade and very close to all the action. We loved our kitesurfing experience in Maui with Kite HI and will definitely plan another trip to get better. Thank you for all the patience with us and see you next year for more kitesurfing lesson

What an amazing week in Maui. We did many adventurous things on our trip (many on the recommendation of our kite surf instructor) but the best part about the trip was the great instruction at Kite Hi for my 14 year old son. John had him up and riding after a few hours of instruction and he gave me many tips and helped my kite surfing in a big way as well. He really drilled into both of us the essential safety skills required for us to both be independent kiters and we will always remember our time with Kite Hi with reverence and the amazing adventures that he recommended to us. Thank you, Kite Hi!

If you are serious about learning to kite or making progress in kiting, then there is only one recommendation and this is Jon / Kite HI.
I learned to kite with Jon and came back to him every year. His passion for the sport and his knowledge is unique and he is a real Pro, who has the gift to approach his students individually and to transmit his passion for the sport. Jon infected me with kitesurfing and I always had an unforgettable time and made significant progress from my point of view :-) Mahalo Jon!

John was awesome. Patient, kind and always encouraging. He had me up and kitesurfing in 4 hours. If you're thinking of learning kite hi is a no brainer. Its obvious that John has loads of experience and knows how to teach. This was the highlight of my Maui trip! Thanks John!!!! A+++++

I recommend anyone visiting Maui make a course Kitesurf with Jon. He is super attentive. I bought with it a V4 Ozone REO 2017 kite and I am very satisfied.

The best kiteboarding school in Maui
If you really want to learn to kite or make progress... this school is the best choice!
Initially, I signed up with another school on the beach but it was such a big disappointment ... I was very lucky when I got a recommendation and couple of spots for a lesson with Jon :-)
Jon's combination of experience and knowledge and personality makes him fabulous instructor. He knows how to share his passion and get the most from his students, build their confidence and deliver this incredible experience. He is a Legend ;-) watch his amazing videos!
My experience with Jon and Kite HI was spectacular. I had an awesome time and made significant progress :-) I would recommend anyone visiting Maui to book a course/ lesson with Jon and Hi Kite! You can always learn something new - I'm coming back next year to learn some "sick tricks" ;-)

So grateful to have Kite HI here in Maui to buy my Ozone Kites from.. I can say there is no better deal out there! These kites have the best performance - literally It feels like the Ferrari of kites and I've tried many brands- but they are durable, the quality is incredible and have helped me enormously to become a more proficient kiteboarder. Customer service- excellent, product- the best. Ill be shopping here for life! Thanks Jon!

Jon and Kite HI are amazing. Jon has a very relaxed teaching style making the lesson feel more like a really knowledgeable friend is teaching you and not an instructor. I spent 4 days with Jon who took me from a struggling beginner to self sufficient up wind rider (even in light winds).
