Good place! But the mechanic has a bad adittude!! Told me " fuck you" because i came late to my mechanic appointment but i left a message to him explaining why i was running late due to traffic in kihei because of the fire thats been happening!! Mechanic is the worse!! Bad bad person!!...

This place is the definition of "you get what you paid for." Rented twice here got two different cars. Each time, the car is year 2012 or older, worn-out, over 100k mileage, and NO spare tires. Is that not a safety hazard to let customers drive out of the lot with no spare tires? This place is affordable, but it is NOT reliable and safe. If you need a car for just a day will do. I won't rent it for work or vacation. If they skipped out of just putting a spare tire, imagine what else they are cutting out of. Who knows how regularly they do routine maintenance and inspection .

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT! SERIOUSLY!!! We rented a car from them for a competitve rental rate, in order to support local business. Upon arrival we were given an HYUNDAI SONATA 2010 with 143K miles, dashboard cracked in it's entirety, severly worn interior, scratches, dents, and LESS THAN 1/4 tank of gas. We contacted company to no avail. Then after a few miles of driving, the battery light keep coming on and off. We notified the company and they said return it the next day, but there would be no exchanges for another car. The company said a mechanic had just looked at this car and the previous renter had no complaints. After four hours of renting, driving on the freeway, the car died in the pitch black dark, all of the electrical went out. THERE WERE NO EXTERIOR LIGHTS! We had no choice but to pull over to the side of the freeway in the middle of nowhere and turn the engine off. Then we called the company to no avail. After ten minutes, we started the car again, and went a few miles before it died again. Someone from the company called us back and asked where we were. We then coasted down a hill and pulled over to the side of the road. HOW DANGEROUS! We waited for someone from the company to come and happily gave them our keys! They gave us a full refund, which in our opinion was paltry compensation for the experience. The next day, we were thrilled to rent a new car from a national provider for $10 less a day.

I almost don't want to talk about how great this place is because I don't want to have to struggle getting a reservation in the future. This place definitely did not disappoint! First off, it was very affordable and the employees were responsive, kind, and generous. You don't get the newest cars on the market, but I prefer to drive slightly older cars because to me, they're more comfortable to drive in than new cars. We were given an SUV which was great because we were expecting just a full size car. It was the perfect car for our trip! This is now my go to spot for rental cars!

Follow up review and adding one star. The car made it to Hana and Haleakala in addition to getting us all around Maui to many beautiful beaches. The pick up and drop off was smooth. Mahalo.

My daughter and I recently rented a vehicle from Yaro . We had some issues at the airport due to covid .Yaro was understanding and accommodated us. The vehicle was a maui ride and got us where we wanted to be.I liked that he is a local business and close to airport. His service guy was friendly and very helpful. We live in Hilo and have family on Maui ,we'll definitely call Yaro first on our next visit. Mahalo

First off I'll start by saying I knew I wasn't going to be getting a luxury rental here - that it was going to be older and more run down; however -it's a rental car company. All cars should be safe and should drive The first car I got - a Nissan Altima, headlights were so fogged over they were basically non-existent. I had to rely on other people's lights or the brights when I could. I picked up at night after hours so was stuck with for the night. I messaged him the next day and he told me to come swap it out The next car seemed okay at first, though still old and beat up. But on the second day after spending the day sight seeing we tried to go back home and the car wouldn't start. Note - I flipped the headlight stick around to double check that and make sure it wasn't on but in fact we hadn't driven at night so we didn't use them. I called him and he came and brought me a new car This was another Nissan. He brought it during the day and again seems okay. Come night time and...guess what! Same issue as the first car. I actually had to make sure and check the license plate to make sure it wasn't the same exact one. Since that was going to be the last time I should be driving at night I just dealt with it that night. The next day we got up (it had rained the night before) and the floor boards were wet. The windows were all closed. So there's some kind of leak somewhere. Just decided to deal with it. Wouldn't hopefully affect anything. Went out sightseeing again and got in to start car and it wouldn't recognize the key fob!!! It took about 2 hours and waking away, Messi g with the battery and re-entering the car and for some reason it decided to work again when I had him on the phone for the second time. We dropped off the car at the airport and I inquired about a refund because frankly the whole thing was ridiculous and wasted valuable vacation time and was just unsafe. He told me he's not responsible for the headlights and to contact Nissan!?!?! No sir! You own the car and are the one renting it out. YOU are responsible for its upkeep and safety Worst experience ever

We were glad to get a reservation (as of 5/3 they were booked through mid-July). We had 3 reservations canceled by Turo when people learned they could charge a lot more due to the car rental shortage. I was able to book a Prius (eww) through Turo for $500 more but quickly canceled when I got confirmation that Kahului Auto Rentals had a car (small SUV) for us. We were picked up at the airport which was great. We ended up receiving a 2012 Nissan Rogue (perfect for blending in as a "local"). There was black tape over the service indicator lights and also a warning that the car was due for service, but we only had a couple issues with the car. The driver side seatbelt came off which I screwed back in, our car charger would not charge when plugged in, and the rear hatch took multiple tries to stay closed. Other than that, the car drove well during our 8-day trip. The brakes were good and it had a nice set of Pirellis to keep the car glued to the road. It survived Road to Hana 3 times, Haleakala, Kahekili highway, and the tourists would let this "local" pass. It came with 3/4 of a tank of gas, and we returned it that way though the paperwork did not seem to require it. We were even allowed to leave the car at the airport for them to pick up later. Overall, we got the best bang for the buck that we could. At $600 for 8 days we definitely got a great deal.

Very professional and friendly service! When Covid hit owner bought extensive germ fumigator to clean cars for quality care and cleaning of all vehicles for clients.I recommend greatly!
