“So the shower valve broke at my 89 year old tutu's house to where you could not shut the water off. There was no shutoff valve in the water line going to the shower, so we had to turn off the water to the whole house to avoid wasting gallons.Went to Ferguson and as I had expected the valve was 30+ years old, not stocked on Maui and would have to be special ordered. Figured as much. So I asked what I could do to just cap off the supply lines to the shower in the meantime while waiting for the part to come in, so we could at least turn the water back on to the rest of the house.The employee at Ferguson sold me "shark bite" cap fittings and a pipe cutter, and explained in detail how to install them. Back at the house, about 10 minutes of work and I had the lines capped off and was able to turn our water back on! ?I really appreciated the patient service with aloha during a stressful situation. They treated me as a valued customer even though they mostly deal with big commercial sales and I was just a clueless DIY'er buying $25 worth of items. What a great experience. Mahalos guys, I will recommend you to anyone I know of needing plumbing supplies! ???”
“I love the people who work at Air Gas, they are always professional and kind; super helpful. I DO wish that they would update their hours though; during the Covid-19 I think it's important for all businesses to keep up with posting their hours correctly. To assume that "we will all understand". I drove down to Kahului from Keokea because the listed hours said they were open (I called to check and the phone just rang..., they must have been busy- how wonderful for them, that's great, especially in these times!)- and then I got there and "CLOSED". WHOA! I just wasted 2 hours, - that is very much a bummer and unprofessional of them. I think it's probably pretty easy to edit the posted hours for the company, you know, just to also help the others that are living in the Covid-19 world? Just a thought. So, they are NOT open till 4 pm, M-F, AND they are not open on Saturday - the only day I can come because I am working and I am an "essential" worker. I wish businesses would be even MORE selfish about their success and help themselves by being kind, accurate, and proactive for all!”

I found their prices for gardening plants and ceramics pots better than elsewhere.
