“I loved walking into this store- it's the kind of place where you can find something new every time you walk around. I walked in thinking "jewelry"... and they have goooood jewelry! I found a Tahitian pearl bangle for me and my best friend back home. The gal working let me browse but was also readily available if I needed a case opened. That's how I prefer to shop- friendly and "around" but also give me my space. Speaking of space, this store is large! I mention this because it feels that it's curated well- every piece has its own space. Nothing is cluttered or messy. I walked the perimeter a few times, always seeing something new. I found an ornament and a framed oil painting too! There's a lot of shops in this area that seem to sell "the same things"- the same souvenirs, the same jewelry, the same sunglasses. By The Bay is a lovely gallery featuring art pieces of all kinds. Come here to find something that reminds you of the island for your home (or wrist!)”

“Was in Lahaina and started searching for the cheapest souvenir shop. It brought me to this place and the owner was the most wholesome guy. He was so generous to my wife and I ! “The Ocean Center is a gem and must-see for anyone visiting Maui. It combines a fabulous aquarium with an impressive museum that informs with pictures, photos and written details, as well as audiovisual presentations. The talks by the marine biologists in each of the various sections throughout the day were both educational and enjoyable, adding to the value of the experience. The many areas of seating throughout the exhibits help provide the visitor with opportunities to rest. The visit to the Ocean Center could be completed in a couple hours, but plan to spend the day if you have time. Pay attention to the schedule of talks by the marine biologists and enjoy as many as possible. The Ocean Center has been one of the highlights of our two-week trip to Hawaii.”

“The cutest store on the whole island! I was staying near this location in Kihei, but I also visited the bigger store in Lahaina. I wandered into this store everyday of my stay, and purchased something almost every time. They have super cute gifts, jewelry, home accessories, and pet stuff! The ladies were super nice every time I went in there. The Mermaid Inn Boutique (which I believe is the same owners) was also very cute and a couple shops down from their Kihei store. I spent enough money at Paia Mercantile that I ended up with 10% off a $25 purchase at the Mermaid Inn. My one complaint is that they do not have an online shop! There were some items I saw I wish I would have gotten, but couldn't fit in my suitcase! :)”
