I just can’t figure out why every cashier here is so RUDE. On top of it, every single time I come in to get feed, Dels never has it. “Oh yeah, we’re out of everything.” This is what I hear every time, it’s infuriating. Do better Dels. Get management who can capably run your orders. I’ll never spend my money here again.

Awesome service!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Ok I was that person running in at closing time. They did not give me stink eye and were very friendly and was happy to assist. Left there with an almost $300 rabbit hutch which they help load onto my truck?? Mahalo to sales associate and warehouse crew!!

They are amazing!! Great customer service and have a bunch of items for all the animals. We recently got a puppy and they helped me get a few things including his upcoming vaccine shot, which I will be going to get from them this week for his last one.

Showed up at 4:58pm, after calling three times, to confirm I would be there. (Btw, online says they close at 6pm) I was there to purchase 17 mats for almost $800 in sales. I walk in and she says the guys are clocked out and can’t load the mats. What the heck?! We talked multiple times and the last time was 5 minutes ago!Must be nice to be able to turn down that kind of an order during these crazy times!

No customer service for your local feed and supply store. They are not friendly at the front desk the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced I’ve spent a lot at dells and this was the last time going in that feed store.I recommend Wai ulu feed supply in makawao is sooooooooooooooooo much better and friendly better prices and you don’t get dirty looks as you walk in from the front desk. There a very friendly staff at wai ulu feed supply willing to answer all your question with aloha

I’ve been shopping here since 2009 & have purchased thousands of dollars in fencing/gates/posts + dozens of bales of hay per week. The front desk has never been friendly or polite & the management is clearly poor, but the warehouse workers are wonderful! Anyway, I learned a long time ago that I can buy hundreds of bales of hay with a smile...but politely mention one mere moldy bale here & there (less than one complaint per year from a regular customer, as most of the time, moldy flakes get tossed into the valley, as I live far away & don’t have time to return anything), and that one comment is always received with defensiveness & a shrug of their shoulders. They’ve always lacked customer service, but they had a monopoly on the Timothy-grass market, which is the only type of hay my rescued & handicapped herd loved. Unfortunately, December 2020 was when they dropped the price of their Timothy grass by $5 per half bale. That’s when the bales were no longer certified. They became extremely skimpy (the reduced weight was worth more than a mere $5 reduction in price) and they were oftentimes full of weeds & straw. I stopped buying mass quantities at once and would buy a couple of bales, test it, then return to town to purchase more from that same shipment. Very sadly, seven months later in July 2020, I fed a bale of Timothy-grass hay to the animals for dinner one late night and awoke to diarrhea & clumpy feces everywhere! Tragically, one little lady was belly up and bloated. She looked like a balloon and it had only been 7 hours, as I discovered her at 5 a.m. just as she was taking her final breath. After that, I never purchased another bale of Timothy-grass again and had to teach my animals how to appreciate orchard grass. The quality of their orchard grass has been pretty good, overall, for the past 7 months, though the weight varies significantly. They run out often, so it’s hard to test the bales before loading up. Two weeks ago, I purchased 11 bales from Del’s. The first six bales were more like straw—very dry & extremely poor quality. Three of those bales were also loaded with rocks & dirt. That’s one way to increase the weight! I was dealing with diarrhea & clumpy feces for days & the animals wouldn’t even touch one bale, so I returned it. This is the first time, in 13 years, that I’ve ever returned anything (though definitely not the first time I had a valid reason to return something). I haven’t gone to Del’s for 2 weeks, as I thought I’d let them purge that bad batch of hay. Unfortunately, those first 6 bales came from the bottom of a pallet that may very well have been rejected or returned, prior to them thinking that I’d be a good candidate to accept it graciously. A couple of days ago, I asked a helper—who was surfing in town—to bring me a couple of bales, as a test run. The quality had significantly improved, so I called ahead to ensure that they were well-stocked and they said their shipment was arriving the following day (Thursday). Today is Friday, and I stopped at Del’s to pick up a batch of orchard grass, but the front desk lady said they don’t have orchard & aren’t expecting any this week. I texted my helper, who works in Kula, to ask him to bring me some hay from Wai Ulu, since I’m in town and won’t make it Upcountry until after they close. And yet, less than 10 minutes after I left the store, they told him that they do, in fact, have orchard grass in stock! If that’s true, then these women are either incompetent (and/)or inconsiderate. I’ve always known that my business has never been appreciated there. They have zero accountability or care for their customers. I never judged them too harshly for being so unpleasant, as I can’t imagine that it’s a decent-paying job, but it’s sad that this company has been able to get away with this poor service for so long. They have products that no one else carries on the island, but it’s hardly worth it. Their warehouse workers/loaders/forklift operators are always pleasant, which is such a juxtaposition from everyone

I have purchased a ton of feed and fencing from Del's over the years and the service at the front desk is about as unfriendly as it could be. You don't get a smile, barely an acknowledgement and if you ask for help or information on something in the store, they act like it is an imposition. None of the new, friendlier staff stick around. ( I have to assume it is because of the toxic attitude of the two old timers ) The guys outside however go out of their way to help you. You are better off asking them questions than sales staff. I have been in sales all my life and frankly if there was a better choice in product for my needs, I would run to the competition to avoid the bad attitude at the front desk at Dels' . The owner should put a video camera on the front desk and actually watch the " customer , lack of service "

Grateful to have Del's on island for our goat, chicken, dog, cat, fencing, kennel, bird, and some gardening needs. It's Maui. No store here is going to have all the things you need all the time. If you're a genuine farmer, you plan ahead as much as you can (especially on an island who is at ther mercy of shipping containers & companies). I suggest reading the reviews with a grain of salt and just know that when you go in, you'll find all sorts of supplies, but like any store here in Hawaii, not one is going to have the exact thing you need in stock 24/7, 365. It's just not. You get used to it and get resourceful when you need. Again, just grateful to have Del's as an option for farmers here on Maui! Mahalo!

They always have the essentials that our farm needs in stock and are always helpful when I donʻt know what it is that I want. Our farm is thankful for Delʻs expertise at what they do, and we will continue to support local businesses like Delʻs.
