Costco is usually our first stop in Maui after we land. They have the best price on Maui Gold pineapples here. We stock up on snacks and food items for our week long stay and fill up up on gas during the week know Costco's price cannot be beat. FYI even though the food court is outside your membership card is required for purchase at the food court and they don't have the self order/pay kiosk available.

This Costco (next to the airport) is our go-to place to load up the minute our plane landed in Maui. The location is convenient and has everything and more to feed a large party and keep everyone happy. We just love the fresh seafood section. Only in Maui, you can get fresh Opal, Ono, or Mahi Mahi that no other place can match. Also, they have great alcohol and Asian food sections where you can get tasty grilled shredded squid snacks or food like Korean rice cake soup instant miso soup, etc. This Costco Maui is packed all the time. Parking can be a little crazy but you save a lot by shopping here before going to your hotels, Airbnb, or resorts, and have to pay the high restaurant or bar prices.

I love, love, love Costco. Their products are top quality, their gas prices are lower than the majority of other gas stations, the grocery selection, and prices are excellent, returns are very easy, and the customer service associates are always so nice, and professional.

Subject: Disappointing Experience at Costco Store - September 24, 2023I regret to say that my recent visit to the Costco store on September 24, 2023, left me thoroughly disappointed due to a significant pricing discrepancy and unsatisfactory customer service.Around 1 to 1:30pm, my significant other and I visited the store after finding a portable air conditioner on the Costco app priced at $279.97, with an ongoing promotion of $50 off for products over $200. Our intention was to purchase this item in-store, as it was listed as available at the Maui store location.Upon entering the store, we easily located the product we were interested in. However, when we compared the in-store price, it was marked at a staggering $399.99, significantly higher than the online price. This pricing inconsistency raised concerns, and we decided to inquire at the customer service desk for clarification. At the merchandise return area, we encountered Mr. Kamakahi, who appeared to be occupied counting money at the register. A female Costco employee initially addressed our concern, stating that the in-store price is not the same as online. This response surprised us, considering the substantial price difference. When we asked for an explanation, she suggested that we order the product online to receive the lower price. It was at this point that Mr. Kamakahi intervened, stating that the difference in price was due to shipping costs, even though the product clearly stated "Available at Maui Store location" on the Costco app. We pointed out that the same product, the Danby portable air conditioner, was listed online at the same price of $499.99, making his explanation seem inconsistent.Mr. Kamakahi's demeanor throughout this exchange was extremely unhelpful and borderline rude. He seemed disinterested in addressing our concerns and merely brushed off the issue, stating, "It is what it is." Such dismissive behavior and lack of willingness to engage with customers tarnished our experience and left us feeling disheartened.Overall, I must express my disappointment with this particular visit to Costco. The stark difference in pricing and the unsatisfactory customer service provided by Mr. Kamakahi have left me with a negative impression of the store's commitment to customer satisfaction. I hope that this feedback prompts a review of pricing practices and a reminder of the importance of courteous and helpful customer service.

It's fun to visit Costco in different places. And, I learned the hard way that not all of them are the same in Hawaii. This Costco does not have the Poke like on O'ahu. They only carry Ahi sashimi.Though, that was years ago. Now, I am sure they do carry it as it's made it to the Mainland - like packaged containers of either shoyu, Wasabi, and spicy poke.

Special thank you to the managers and employees of this amazing store. After a successful evacuation from Lahaina, we waited in Kihei, as they were registering lower winds. Near 11pm, we received alerts to evacuate where we were because of new fires. Being visitors, we could only think of heading to the Costco parking lot. After minimal sleep, we awoke to Costco employees knocking on car windows offering food, water, and use of the restroom. On entering the warehouse to wash up, we discovered the store heavily staffed, hours before opening. They were building pallets of food and water to distribute to shelters around the island. Very well done Costco.

I didn't know there was a Costco in Maui (always though the one in Oahu was the only Costco in Hawaii), so it was a pleasant surprise to see. I thought it'd be pretty exotic, but it's almost exactly like a mainland Costco except with pineapples and overpriced poke (which you can buy for far cheaper at Foodland).I'm also saying this for anyone who needs it. YOU DON'T NEED WHATEVER YOU'RE BUYING. That being said, it's a Costco, so we bought a ton of stuff for our 5 day Airbnb trip. You do you, lol.

This costco can be very busy with a very crowded parking lot. The best time to go would be after 6.30pm then it mellows out and so does the heat. Amazing selection of fun exciting items that aren't seen in California. The self check out is very efficient with multiple staff members assisting with the flow.

Stocking up on snacks, etc. here was a great idea I saw recommended when visiting Maui. It's right in the center of the island and close to the airport, so it's best to make this your first stop if you have a car.Inside, this Costco has a LOT of unique Hawaiian items that made it a unique experience compared to the ones in Southern California. I was able to find several Hawaiian made items such as Maui gold pineapple, amazing sweet potato and taro chips, dried tuna sticks, fresh squeezed ginger juice, granola, macadamia short bread, and more. I really like how this Costco has done a great job locally sourcing a lot of its produce.

A must do once you land before you go to your Airbnb! Eating out in Hawaii can be quite expensive, so our first stop was Maui's one and only Costco. This place is conveniently close to the airport, so make sure to come here once you land. We loaded up on the following: Poke (this is near the salmon), siopao, spam, lau lau pork, char broiled pork, kalua shredded pork, freshly cut papaya, eggs, poi, kings hawaiian rolls, and steamed white rice bowls. These items are easy to make. We, of course, got POG juice, water bottles, and Mai Tai mix. All of this lasted for 5 days for 6 people and there were still leftovers! Food was delicious and eating in allowed us to enjoy our Airbnb's lanai to the fullest!

I am passionate about Costco and our trip to Maui was not complete without a trip here! I could go on and on but they offered the same merchandise as the states at near the same prices (hello $5 rotisserie) but also offered many specific items that we cannot find in the states such as dried fish, Hawaiian shirts, and lots of macadamias and shortbread cookie goodies. They also have fresh poke which was really good and they sell it by the pound. They sell the cheapest gas and is right next to the airport, perfect for filling up the rental car. Definitely recommend getting souvenirs here!

No trip to HI is complete without a trip to Costco.....for multiple reasons First & foremost, the HI-only treats. We stocked up on Hawaiian butter cookies, all kinds of Mac nut delights from Mauna Loa Mac variety packs to chocolate-covered macs & tons more It's still the biggest travesty that Hershey has discontinued their Mac Kisses that you could only get at the HI Costcos..... but that's another review..... Then there's the gas station which is the perfect spot to refuel right before turning in your car at the airport Literally right around the corner from the airport, this was an easy in & out and we had our family souvenirs / gifts accomplished in no time flat HI travel might be the only time I'm ever excited to go to a Costco & the Maui location delivered

Coming over from the mainland (WA/CA), I can honestly say the merchandise and pricing here are both similar and different. You will find a LOT of local items specific for the islands, and I would suggest stopping by here for clothing and gifts. [Clothing] So many beautiful Aloha shirts, shorts, swim, hybrid, wear. Priced reasonably compared to outside shops, locally made in HI. [Cookies/Candy/Sweets] Great value for multi-box of chocolate mac nuts, cookies, etc, great for gifts to take back. Lots of special holiday cookies/candies made in HI. [Pies] There is a Guava Cheesecake available. Zero in the mainland. Same pricing as mainland general pumpkin or apple pies. [Outdoor Gear] Lots of beach, boards, snorkel, hike, trail gear available. Overall, a fresh and nice stop, plus cheap gas compared to outside.

Definitely come and check this Costco out. I found so much things to try since I've never seen them at my local Costco in Southern California. I hope I have enough room in my check in luggage.
