This place used to be bomb for poke, now I don’t know what it is. Highly not recommended that’s for sure.

this poke was some of the worst very disappointed it wasn’t fresh or melting in my mouth, the spicy ahi is very different and off. The best poke I have had are on the Big Island.

Best poke in this whole wide world. By very far too.

This store is your last resort if you really can't make it to the Foodland super. It smells bad, they practically have no fresh products, zero meat or fruits, and practically no veggies. It is a mix of a dollar store and a bad convenience store. On top of everything, I am pretty sure they over charged us. No itemized receipt! Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Chef Auntie is the absolute best! She represents true aloha spirit, so welcoming and kind. She makes the best poke, must try. Loved talking story with her she’s a doll! She mentioned it’s owned by auntie Tina, she’s also a sweet local woman - GO SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES! (Especially by women)

They have a lot of variety of poke. I got shoyu and it wasn't my favorite. I like shoyu but I didn't like the taste of it.

I hate to say that the poke bowl was not good...but it was not good. I had gone on the advice of my SO because he remembered the bowl being delicious. Unfortunately that was not the case when we went in December 2023.

I have been an Oahu resident since 1970. I currently live near Kahuku Superette, I have never in my life experienced such godawful customer service in my life. I kindly asked a cashier where the Half and Half was as I needed it for my coffee. This employee barely looked up from her reading material and told me she had no idea what I was talking about. She was quite rude and curt and directed me to another cashier. I was shocked by her dismissive manner. This 2nd cashier informed me that their delivery had not arrived yet. I have no earthly idea how this establishment stays in business with its poor work ethics. I asked this nasty woman for her name and she actually said, no! Then she mumbled something that sounded something like Becky. Why is someone in a grocery store so oblivious as to what is sold in its own store? Unbelievable! I have worked in the food and beverage industry most of my life and have never seen such abominable public relations. I was treated as if I was bothering this woman by merely asking a question. I hear the Poke is better at Laie Foodland.

Got 1/2lb of shoyu and 1/2lb of spicy the spicy ahi was cooked so it had the texture more like canned tuna and the quality of the shoyu ahi was not very fresh saw good reviews on this place but would not recommend, the service was good though!

Supposedly the original poke on the island and a favorite with locals but when we visited, the fish didn't look as fresh as some of the other places and tasted just ok. However it is close to Sunset Beach and other famous Beaches of north shore so you can grab some poke for a sunset picnic!

A very disappointing poke bowl made with cheap ingredients, such as canned tuna, supplementing ground ahi. In addition to being expensive, the poke counter lady stuffs the containers, absurdly full while charging $25 a pound for poke. I would recommend checking out RY's poke shack down the road which is one of the best Poké bowls I've ever had in the State Of Hawaii.

We've never had Poke before and read about this place! We decided that Poke is not for us, but if you like it, the portions are huge! It was expensive because they price is by pound and the large bowl fits almost a pound and a half! The lady at the counter was friendly and gave us recommendations on what to order. I would agree with others, one bowl can easily feed 2 people. Based on other reviews it sounds like there are other good poke bowl options that would be less expensive if you are just trying it for the first time! (Another positive- they sell alcohol, the closest Foodland does not).

The poke bowl was pretty good. I don't think it tasted as fresh as Foodland poke, though. The flavor was good and the portion was massive! Definitely enough to feed two people.

I don't know why this place has such good reviews. We were in the North Shore area one Sunday, so we stopped by just after 1 to pick up some poke. There is a half pound minimum if you're just getting the poke so we got 1/2 lb of the shoyu, and 1/2 lb of the spicy. The shoyu was a mix of old and new pieces of tuna because half of the pieces were discolored and you could tell have been marinated longer. The spicy poke wasn't even chunks of fish. It was all the leftover end pieces so it was basically tiny morsels of fish. And it wasn't exactly cheap, at $18.99 a pound - especially for fish that isn't fresh.Do yourself a favor and go to Foodland for poke instead. It's half the price and the poke is actually fresh there.
