Great place for lifting and treadmills. Always clean and friendly. Times vary for the crowds like all places. I love coming on the weekends that's when they let family members in. During the week it's service members only.

Love the Polynesian fitness class & the staff! They're all so welcoming & always show Aloha when coming & going. Always being cleaned throughout the time I'm there.

Great family fitness center! Definitely recommend. The hours could be better but I’ve seen people in there before 10 am. Give it a shot.

Nice gym, but...that's the problem. It's so nice and new that it's just too damn crowded. It's a good spot to show off the guns and maybe get social with other gym peeps, but I'm just a go in and work out kind of guy. Actually checked out Hickam gym. Much smaller and mellower. May end up there instead or just do push-ups in the park.

Would have been five stars... but I just can't bring myself to give this gym a perfect review. I've been stationed here for three years now, and I've given this gym plenty of chances, believe me! But the music here is always the same, and that would normally be okay... except the music isn't good by any standards. Whoever has the aux must be friends of my grandparents who have just scoured my 12 year old siblings' playlist for the most safe songs to get a little bit into whilst exercising. Now imagine trying to get absolutely shredded or dunk on your homies and then "We Don't Talk About Bruno" and [insert crappy 2017 pop song] play back to back. That's what it's like every time and the vibe never changes. No wonder everyone has their AirPods in!

This gym has a lot of potential. The way they are handling the post vaccine Covid situation is absurd and not based in science at all. I am told that this has been brought up by high level medical professionals and still a long list of unnecessary rules remain in place. Some members of the staff are incredibly attentive at enforcing.

Upgrading this spot from a 4 to a 5 based on how they've handled the pandemic. They enforce mask wearing, supply disinfectant bottles for each gymgoer, and have employees cleaning equipment in addition. They shut down at the end of every hour to allow a new set of people in. It's tough to be a gym during this period, but this is the best I've seen as far as executing precautions. From the gym equipment perspective (bball court, racquetball courts still closed) it's got everything you need and the only previous issue I saw- it getting too packed- is now moot.

***Pre COVID-19 Visit***Big gym! Tons of equipment and I really liked the treadmills and cardio section. It gets crowded during peak hours and I always went after work. You have to have a military/DOD ID to check in. It's probably one of the biggest gyms on the island and my only concern is the staff rarely seems interested in working there. When I had questions, they almost always looked inconvenienced. It's all good though. Aloha!!!

great location, services, from beach too golf too restaurants. good commissary. spread out well, low traffic and good Access. BX is a bit small but gets the job done and there's a NEX close by. seems to be run well except for the crazy alcohol purchase cut off time at of 2200hrs at the shoppette, if that's important too you, even though it's s'posed to be 24 hours and is for all other things.

Been working out at JBPHH Fitness Center weekly for over a year now. This gym is only accessible for military and DoD Civilians, who can also bring up to 2 guest on weekends and federal holidays. They offer classes for a nominal fee. It can get really crowded on the weekends but once you've been to a popular public gym, you can appreciate this gym. Everyone is really respectful and it's motivating to workout surrounded by servicemen & women and federal fire fighters! Free towel service, free parking, free WiFi, clean locker rooms and cold A/C - what's not to like about this gym?! I'm writing this review during the COVID-19 pandemic because I've realized how much I miss and appreciate this gym.

Way over crowded. Even at what a lot of people would consider a dead point in the day. People wait in lines for machines. Much rather go to one of the smaller gyms on base.

I've been going to this gym for 9 months now, usually twice a week (as my work & travel schedule allow) with a trainer, Carmina. This is the strongest I've been since playing rugby in school. The facility is newer & really nice - free weights & machines as well as basketball courts on the first floor, racquetball courts, a group exercise room, spin bikes, and health promotions on the second floor. It gets a little crowded but not awful. The staff is really awesome too! In addition to enjoying my workouts in the group training sessions with Carmina (interesting folks, competitive enough to push you but not jerks about it), I've lost 8 pounds and visibly gained muscle mass. One of my favorite things about living in Hawai'i
