Always a great experience using this post office. Kyle was extraordinarily kind and helpful in showing my tips to save money when shipping packages.

Older lady who works in there. Very unhelpful and rude. No reason for it. It's Christmas time, be kind.

The lady with the fake eyelashes is beyond rude. Her attitude is absolutely atrocious. It can be very taxing to work a service job, but there is no excuse to disrespect others when it is unwarranted.

The gentleman that works there is so kind and works hard to make sure the line goes faster but with only one person in the counter and the lines are out the door, you world think there would be more postal staff helping. I also don't like that they're not open on Saturdays. Also lunch hour is long and they don't open till 1330.

I'm just gonna say it - the folks at this post office are AMAZING! Always helpful and considerate - truly dedicated professionals!!! When I am in they point out ways to save time/$$ -!just really awesome! Shout out to Joanie who helped me rescue a (stampless - completely MY fault) card from the outgoing pile! They are really living aloha here!!

Service hasn't gotten any better over the past several years. I had 3 boxes to ship, one of them inside and was getting the others from the car when they closed and locked the door for lunch with my stuff inside so I can't even leave until they're done with their break. With time to kill I did some research. Of about 50 locations on Oahu only 5 close for lunch (when working people have time to go to the post office). Of those 5, only 2 close for a whole hour and this is one of them. No wonder USPS would be bankrupt if it were a real business.

The postal worker was a very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and patient man. He gave us some advice and assistance to save almost 50% in shipping costs. You don’t often see people go above and beyond like that anymore to help their customers.Given the restrictions set in place and knowing a visit to the post office would be lengthy, we were not surprised by finding a line when we arrived. The line moved quickly. There was signage dictating where to stand and hand sanitizer in multiple locations. The store was well stocked. It was clean and everything was organized to be easily visible and accessible. This was my first experience at this location and we were happy with the service.

I understand the long lines, COVID restrictions, and all of the holiday rush beginning but I have had two disrespectful interactions; one in person and one on the phone. First, I came in to mail a large box, one of the priority boxes, and another that would be international. The lady seemed annoyed from the beginning (I would be too if there was a line at my job and we just opened) but, when I told her the box was international, and that I didn't have the customs form (being Im used to getting it when I arrive, my mistake) and she gave me a eye roll and just was extremely closed off, and just overall made me feel even worse I wasn't prepared. Then when I was mailing the second one since it was just going to the states, she tried to push me away just so I would leave and come back. Secondly; I received a text today my packaged couldn't be delivered because it need a signature; ok, no big deal. I called the Hickam location since that was what is listed on the back of my paper. The man who answered kept interrupting me and really made me feel as if he was just trying to get me off the phone. When I asked for the number of the location to pick up the package (which I had him repeat so I made sure I had the correct number) was in fact the number to a line that was no longer connected. I am beyond irritated, since the package was something I needed today; and am unable to pick up now because no location will answer me. Maybe these people were just having bad days; but, I just wanted to get Christmas gifts mailed, and I had a business product coming in today that now stalls my own production. This is why I choose UPS, they've always been way more kind.

No wonder the USPS is struggling. I pulled up on a Friday at about 2 pm. There was a line out the door and around the building. Turns out they only had one guy working. He obviously gets paid by the hour. I've heard of glaciers melting faster.

The one gentleman that works the counter is very nice and knowledgeable, and the store is typically well stocked with boxes and packing supplies. However, with a single postal worker handling customers, the line is usually out the door and a long wait. Being located on a military base you might think the operating hours would be convenient for service members and their families, e.g. open before 0800, after 1600, during the lunch hour, or on Saturdays. Unfortunately, those are the exact times the office is closed for business. Therefore, customers need to bottleneck into the facility with a long line during the work day. Without adding staff or hours, and with the post office cutbacks nationwide, the situation is not likely to improve. This may be the new normal.

I love this small post office. The people are nice and helpful. Sometimes the line is long but it is never a bad wait. I drive past 3 other post offices to go to this one.
