This was one of the spots recommended when visiting Molokai. I thought the pos a nut activity was silly but I figured why not. EXPERIENCE: Parking: You can pull over but there is plaza parking. Feels: It was near the corner of the intersection. Depending on the season or time of day it can have a flow of people. The spot itself is nothing too special. Straight business so no room to hang out. The signs were a bit worn down and the Post-A-Nut items weren't as promotable. However, they do provide sharpies at the post office and you can work on them in your car or sit on the grass. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Fantastic! Friendly people and very knowledgeable. OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. Fantastic! Friendly and patient employees. A good activity and solid service. I appreciate the story behind Post-A-Nut and I wish Gary and the rest of the team the best. Tips: - DUE TO COVID BRING YOUR OWN COCONUT. I got a fallen one from Coconut Grove. - When drawing on the coconut - save 1/3 for drawing, 1/3 for your address, and 1/3 for stamps. -

What to say? Your tax dollars at work, so inefficient. Nearly always a line, yet they never have all the windows open and available for service. Workers are usually pleasant and my mail usually arrives. They have parking. USPS will always be #3 on my list if I need to mail something.

I have my PO Box here. Every is helpful and courteous. Parking in the lot can be crowded sometimes. It's easier just to park on the street a lot of the time.

I would give zero stars if it were an option. The lady at the counter was so rude. im very sure she is the one who damagaed the boxes. Im not openinging it till i get to my local post office im filing multiple complaints. I have pictures and videos of our our box arrived. We had purchased a brand new box from this location and filled it on site as well as taped all bends in the box.

What a comical and unique idea to send a coconut in the US Postal Service. My friend sent herself one we picked out and when we got home it was there waiting for her. Truly a novel idea. You must try it.

Pretty cool gem in Moloka'i and this is where the Post-A-Nut is located. The coconuts are free to color decorate your own and have it shipped virtually anywhere (though the postage is super expensive in my opinion). I think the way it works is that on one side you put your shipping address and on the other side you put your paintings and drawings. Pretty cool concept, though!

On our last day in Molokai, husband and I stopped by the post office to Post a Nut, well two of em, to our niece and nephew on the mainland. That day was Postmaster Gary's last day of work before retirement - neat to see residents/customers stop by and wish him well. Very grateful to have Gary's tips on decorating our coconuts. Markers and dry coconuts were generously and nicely supplied by the post office. Husband and I had fun decorating the coconuts - not awesome works of art - but that OK. The posted guidelines list average postal rates and typical transit times. Neat experience!

Oh man this place is awesome! Post-a-nut! So here's the deal: you get to color and decorate a coconut, slap a few stamps on it and mail to your favorite family member or best friend. A real Molokai coconut. I think it's pretty cool. Postmaster Gary obviously LOVES his job and he has the most aloha I've ever seen for a postal worker. When we came, he was literally walking out the door for his lunch break, but saw that we were excited to come in and said he could give us 10 minutes of his time. Who does that!? Gary does. Then he walked us through the process and showed us some of the coconuts that are on display. There are bins with coconuts waiting or I think you can bring in your own? There's also a container with sharpies and pens waiting to dress up your coconut. When you're finished you simply pay for the shipping. And I think they can ship anywhere in the world? It's a cool stop and imagine receiving this instead of a postcard in the mail. WAY more cool. I real piece of Molokai. And it's decorated by you so let your inner artist come out! This is a fun stop when visiting Molokai. The hours are limited so be sure to plan around it and try not to come during Gary's lunch break. He's the best and will make your experience even that much better! :)

Imagine color me mine with coconuts. Yep, that's basically Post a Nut In a (literally) nutshell *play laugh reel. All jokes aside, this was a fun find and activity while visiting Molokai. The concept is simple - you pick a coconut from the bins, decorate to your liking with available sharpies and paints, and pay for the shipping. As far as prices go, it depends on the weight of your coconut. Keep in mind that some coconuts have more water so that will definitely add up. The post office worker was really nice and brought out more coconuts from the back so don't be afraid to ask if you're not sure. We picked a fairly small-medium one and the overall shipping price was approx $17. My husband and I had a blast - as adults, you don't always have the opportunity to color and get creative. There are models available on the shelves for inspiration. Overall we must have spent an hour there.... Only because we were having too much fun and selective with our colors. Overall it was a fun and unique activity that also served as a souvenir-whether it's for yourself or a loved one!
