A beautiful new shop opened in Hilo, with amazing Koa Wood pieces. You will find artifacts, jewelry, art work and even furniture. The staff here is the kindest and a joy to speak with. The items are well priced (especially for coveted Koa wood). We came home with lovely items for ourselves and gifts. They even have the highly prized Damascus blades with Koa wood handles. I suggest taking your time here and looking in every corner. Definitely would come back here and do more shopping.

Bought the Koa Ikaika Helmet and paid $65 plus shipping. This item took 1 month to arrive! When asking for tracking info, I was sent a UPS # that showed my item arrived in SF and I don't live in SF. After asking the company why my item was sent to SF, I was advised they had sent me the wrong tracking # and was finally sent an email with correct tracking info. The item finally arrived 3-4 days later in a crushed box. Thankfully the item was not damaged but the Ikaika should have been bubble wrapped or better packed. Once I opened it, I was further disappointed by the size, as it was much smaller than I expected. It will still hang in my car b/c it is beautiful, however, I just wish I had a better experience with this company. I will NOT be recommending them or ordering anything in the future.

We recently had LewisKoa Co create a Koa urn for us. My wife and I love the islands and we recently lost our Golden Retriever McGee. We had him cremated and we were looking for a koa urn. LewisKoa Co by far delivered! It was such as easy process from start to finish and we were able to do it all remotely. Thank you for the amazing craftsmanship, respect, and communication. We were absolutely amazed with the urn and are so proud of the piece. We will be returning customers for sure.

Poor communication, had to email constantly to find out about my order, when the order arrived the lamp socket was smashed crushed- I knew I would have to deal with this kind of customer service in that one horse town Save your money, avoid- no response from the company - I would have given zero stars but that is not an option- Customer

My wife and I recently purchased a little koa wood stand and had it shipped. The stand is beautiful and the packing was exceptional. We will be stopping by again this year to see what else they have.

Lewis Koa does not accept returns even one day later. The old Hawaiian lady that works there does not honor receipts or 30 day money back purchases. Not even an exchange will do for her. I recommend not giving her business or if anything goes wrong there will be recourse.

My family was grateful to come across this local Big Island company that we have visited a couple of times over the years while visiting family, specifically my Grandparents, who lived in Pepe'ekeo, a neighboring town. Sadly we recently lost my Father and were in search of the perfect wooden urn and thankfully remembered this beautiful shop in the little, unique town of Honomu. (We now live on the Mainland.) We thought that the Hawaii native koa wood would be a perfect way to always keep a bit of Hawaii with my Father, who was born and raised in Hawaii. I inquired through their website about their koa urns, and was quickly put in touch with Tamara, who was very sweet, informative and helpful in bringing us to our decision in the type of woods they offered as well as the engraving that they offered. She was very easy to work with and the transaction went very smooth and quick. We received the beautifully engraved urn quicker than expected and very well-packaged. The koa urns has gorgeous deep rich wood colors with varied grain patterns. Absolutely gorgeous. Our family is very happy with the results. Our local mortuary was impressed as well and plans to refer them to the many islanders that they get who inquire about koa wood urns. We would definitely consider doing business with them again!

They do not stand behind their products. I have a curly koa jewelry box that has one drawer that will not open and a quarter inch gap in the wood
