I love the YMCA at Nu’uanu. Best yoga teacher- Genie Barker, absolutely incredible class that changed my entire well-being. Love the child care givers, David is a real sweetheart.Dane always has a nice smile & greeting upon arriving!Big weight rooms that are rarely full. Love the humongous locker room with lots of showers and even a dry sauna. Can’t beat it for the amenities and price on the island!

The employees & other members are the best part of the Nuuanu YMCA. The facilities require upgrading, the exercise machines are great. The locker room is too old, the shower room is horrible.

Terrible customer service from the old short lady in front, I left for about a year due to her terrible treatment of me and my girlfriend when we tried to come for a 3 day pass. Makes it so hard for me to just work out, never look forward to seeing her at the front desk. The worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Great daily gym. Offers a variety of group classes and has a multitude of spaces to find the workout you’re looking for. Some of the equipment is showing its age but the Y is replacing various machines periodically. Not perfect, but good enough.Hoping they will open on Sundays soon.

I have been a member of this ymca before and have been satisfied with the services. I stopped due to pandemic. Restarting now. Would be good to have some martial arts classes.

An amazing community center. Every Saturday, the facility is booming with people of all ages. They provide many classes including Hawaiian Studies for our Keiki. My daughter loves her halau and her kumu. The fitness center is busy but I do see that they don't over crowd. Their pool looks amazing.

Went this morning at about 10 am not too busy front desk girl told me to wait since it's my first time but the tour was horrible I won't name this haole white balding boy with a Trainer shirt on just doing minimal explaining each room from outside but once got down stairs to locker room told me go in and check it out without him ? Was confusing l asked a member if you could go to pool area he didn't know another pointed shower stall as l went to the area shower floor was very wet as l was wearing slippers very slippery as l pushed thru heavy door half closed finally got to pool area having pool aqua class not wanting to ask the instructor saw poolside guard sitting on deck asked about pool room area didn't know anything or wanting to accommodate I finally went back out after ten minutes he was sitting waiting for me and ask All done ? Well that's it ! He definitely needs more training the Trainer as he left to the front desk saw a another member signing a form telling me she's signing up for personal training just then tour escort coming back asking or do you know her ? I said no but she was explaining me about getting a trainer which he didn't explain at all there were many more others with him but lastly l sat on bike mills for 3 miles run after coming out of the room who do l see but same tour guy with No acknowledgment No recognition staring out of space Not a Very Welcoming place to be ! Seems most of them just doing minimal Not my job attitude needs to change!

Old and dilapidated lockers, dirty bathrooms, calcified showers. There is a strange restriction for breath holding in the pool so if you are practicing advanced water survival or military selection prep forget about it. There’s four lanes so sharing is inevitable at this pool. Like any other place in Hawaii it closes incredibly early and since the local culture seems to abhor work you will get an earful if you leave even a minute after the closing time.
