Japanese lady and I both came at the same time. They washed her car but rejected me telling me their last call was at 2:30 pm. If that is the case then update your website and stop being prejudice.

Yajima Service Station in Honolulu turned out to be a real lifesaver during one of those busy days filled with errands. Needing a state safety check for my car, and with my usual place temporarily unavailable, I discovered that Yajima Service Station accepts walk-ins until 4:30 PM. I managed to get there at 3:50 PM, conveniently parked at one of the gas pumps, and headed inside.Right from the start, the experience was pleasant. A friendly staff member greeted me as I entered, and I was impressed by her professionalism and efficiency. When I handed over my documents, she noticed that my insurance card was not yet valid, starting from a future date. She graciously allowed me to use my phone to show my current insurance details in the app - a small oversight on my part that she handled with understanding and patience. While waiting, I couldn't help but notice how the service person seamlessly communicated with the mechanics in fluent Japanese, further highlighting the team's versatility and professionalism. The entire process was surprisingly quick; I was inand out in less than 20 minutes, a feat that was both impressive and greatly appreciated.Yajima Service Station is more than just a convenient stop for fuel and car services; it's a hidden gem in the heart of Honolulu. The combination of friendly, professional service, efficient processes, and a multi-lingual team makes it stand out. Whether it's for a quick safety check or other car maintenance needs, this station is an excellent choice, and I'll definitely be returning for future car-related errands.

Excellent attention to detail. Will be back, often.I noticed some people complained about the trunk not being cleaned---the "menu" clearly says the trunk is extra. And another person complained that the people were rude. I didn't experience that bc I am local and the people working there are not native English speakers so their communication is halting and abrupt...bc they don't have a large vocabulary and need to speak concretely...instead of "how May I help u?" They might say "what u want?" It's a local thing. Just like being at a Chinese restaurant...it's not rude. It's ok if the people who want polite or the people who don't read the menu go somewhere else to wash their cars. Less line for me. I'm not expecting they treat me like royalty, I just want my car cleaned. And to the woman who claims they stole her $100, I wld not be surprised if she forgot she used her Emergency fund prior to getting her car washed. It's not the same but I had over $100 in gift cards that happened to fall between the seat and I forgot about it. They put it in the cup holder...they cld have kept it, I wld have never remembered. I also had about $50 in small bills in the arm rest and console they never touched. They cleaned the grime on my car wheels and armour-all the tires. Who doesn't that for $40?!?!? It's like a mini detailing. I'm going back every month and gonna add in the clear coat!! And tip at least 15%Thank you for a great service.

Best car wash on the island. Being an automotive photographer from Los Angeles this was honestly a lot of fun. The theme of the shop, the care that was given to each and every car was impeccable. Even after driving 30minutes from Ewa this was worth it. They also do oil changes and really take care of each vehicle. Don't hesitate coming here. Thank you!!

Yajima Restaurant has closed due to none authentic Japanese food. This place only had set menu's besides some ala cart sides. One of set menu was Mushroom Chicken. How can that be authentic Nippon food? Way off.

First time at Yajima for car wash and I am pleased! It was easy to drive in from Sheridan Street and I asked for the $35 package. I sat in the waiting area in AC and watched while the employees hustled outside. The cashier was super sweet and the guys were conscientious and hard working. Definitely coming back again!

Heads up: the restaurant across the street is no longer owned by Yajima. But you can still get their bentos, they are on a cart in the waiting room. Still good value. Good car wash and wax and they did my safety check ✅

Dropped off Sofie for her bath appointment at Itchy Pooch and decided I needed to get my car washed. I had bookmarked Yajima's after reading Peter Y's review last week and knew it was close by but didn't realize it was actually the Cosmo station on the corner of Keeaumoku St and King directly across from LobsterKing. Plus I swear it was a Texaco franchise so I was really off driving back up King Street to the Texaco only to find no car wash. Finally I pulled off the road and rechecked my bookmark and tried again. This time coming down Keeaumoku with Yelp directions it had me pull into the driveway but I was going in the wrong direction of all the other cars. Third try I went back around and pulled into the correct driveway going in the correct direction behind a Jeep driver who just put his hands in the air because he was clueless as to what he was doing too. The man in charge saw us and asked what services we each wanted then directed the Jeep to pull in front of the wash entrance and directed me to the open stall in front of a full service gas pump. As I exited my car one of the workers asked if I wanted gas so I looked at the price which for premium was $5.999 and I shook my head noooo! Maybe next trip I'll have at least a half tank of gas so I won't be taken aback and have my tire pressure checked, my oil checked, my radiator checked, my wiper cleaner checked, etc. as advertised for full service. There's no sign outside for services and the worker asked what I was having done, I told him what I told the first man and asked what the charge was....$35.00 and he advised I could wait inside. Walked in and a young lady was cashiering at the window as I passed so I stood in her small line until she was done with the transaction, paid for the services being done to my car then took a seat. I think the young cashier was an anomaly considering all the complaints I've been reading about the young workers lately. She was professional, engaging and just plain charming. She also spoke Japanese to several of the customers. What a bright spot to this experience.I was called, well not by name but by car as in "black Infinity" and since no one else stood up I knew it was me. As I was exiting the young cashier advised they had some freshly delivered bento's available if I was interested. They did look great but no thank you. I walked out to my car while the worker was finishing the tires...wow impressive job it looked like it just came off the lot. For a business operating on a small corner lot what goes on here is pure efficiency. The workers are bustling, no standing around. They do safety checks, oil changes, and any type of auto-related service including body work and painting. As I said, it's an impressive small business. I will be back as I'm in the area at least twice a month and they do an awesome job.

Know that Full Service Gas is not available after 6 or 6:30p. Ive had my car washed here before and it was fairly good, but on this occasion, I just needed a quick check on all four tires.I searched for a "FULL SERVICE GAS STATION" that was close to me and was open. Yajima came up in my search as the closest. Warnings that all four tires were low and one tire in particular needed attention right away. I rolled into Yajima at the corner of King & Keeaumoku St at 6:30p. A mechanic was approaching me as I pulled into Full Service, but Miss Cashier intervened and he walked away and closed up shop. I explained what I needed (just a quick check on my tire pressure) and she said "Maybe you can just google it!"ugh- really? Ok, advice heard and I understood the level of service available and if I got into trouble I have AAA as a backup. The good is that she was bubbly and very serious with her advice~ gotta love it! Note to self: get a tire pressure gauge, teach my kids to google it! 76 a diamond in the rough on school/houghtailing if you need Full Service in the evening and they'll fix tires with nails/screws!

I can't believe how busy this place is. My car was low on gas and I was in the area, so decided to get my car washed in addition to filling up my tank. This was on a Thursday around 12:45.When I pulled into the station, one of the attendants immediately asked what I needed and drove my car into the queue. There were around 14 cars in the station waiting for service and as soon as one left, another car came in.The initial stage is a pre-rinse of the car body and wheels to remove hard debris with a power hose jet. There were probably seven cars waiting in this area for their initial rinse.Thereafter, the cars are vacuumed before being sent to the car wash bay where the car is fully washed. My wheels never looked so clean after going through the wash area. The final stage is where they wipe down the car and spray the wheels and tires. My inferiority complex started kicking in because I was sitting outside (the inside waiting area was full of people um waiting) watching the parade of cars in the final stage of completion; many were luxury cars with high gloss finishes. Mine is a small black Hyundai which is functional and inexpensive so my car was not up to the condition of cars exiting the system. However as the attendant started wiping down my car, I was almost amazed that it was shinier than I thought it would be. Anyway, I guess paying around $40 for a car wash is not going to be a regular event for my car 'cause I don't love it that much, but I was still glad I had an hour to kill to get it washed at Yajima. As I drove off the lot, I was wondering where I could go in my shiny car. And then it started to rain ...

We've been coming here for years to wash our car. There are many other car washes in the area for cheaper but what keeps us coming back is their service. They really take care of your car like it was their own. They also have a great waiting area which is air conditioned with comfy chairs and complimentary beverages. Wait time can vary but it's worth it.

I am writing to bring to your attention a concern that I have recently come across regarding the services provided at Yajima service station. It has come to my attention that Car Wash charges an additional $6 fee for vacuuming trunk of vehicles, which, in my opinion, should be included in the standard service. I believe it is important to provide feedback on matters that can improve the overall customer experience. While I understand that additional services may come at an extra cost, I believe that vacuuming should be considered an integral part of the car wash experience, particularly when dealing with larger vehicles such as SUVs. It seems unfair to charge customers an extra fee for a service that is essential in ensuring a thorough and satisfactory cleaning of their vehicles.I kindly request that you review this matter and consider including vacuuming trunks into the standard service. Doing so would not only enhance the value of money for customers, but it would also contribute to customer satisfaction and loyalty. It is my hope that my feedback will be taken into consideration and that appropriate action will be taken to address this issue.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon and continuing my patronage at Yajima Service Station.Kind regards,Robert

Suppose to be hand wash but it wasn’t. It was suppose to be a full detail, but didn’t even clean out cup holders. They then proceeded to drive my car across the street to park in a restaurant parking lot. This was not mentioned when i dropped my car off.Services: Auto interior vacuuming
