The postal staff are always so nice and helpful, especially the Aunties. I just wish they open earlier.

They open at 11am. Got here at 11:30. A sign is up that says "be back in 15 minutes. We can hear someone back there on a personal call. If my mail wasn't stuff here, I would never use this post office. Ever. I'd drive 30mins out of my way to never come here.

Very clean and ample parking right in front. Lots of eating places around if the line is long!

If you choose to come here, I would show up just a few minutes before they open. The reason????They SLOW........I ain't gonna sugar coat it! To top it off, the business hours at this branch is super short, and probably not convenient for the average customer.Sometimes I wonder why they bother to keep this post office location in Aina Haina open, after all, the Monday thru Friday business hours are from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM (so basically they are only opened for 5 hours per day during the weekday). Now here's the topper.........for the weekend - Saturday, the Aina Haina location is opened from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (open for just 2 hours on Saturday). I sometimes wonder why even bother to open at all for these very short hours? Go figure?I won't even comment on the customer service here, as you can just read the other fellow Yelpers reviews posted here. Lol!Let Bruddah Fran give you a tip! Best bet is to use the Kahala, or Hawaii Kai post office if you're in the general area.

the hours here don't make sense, how are you guys only open for 2 hours on a weekend, and 5 hours during the weekday it's at the stupidest hours too ... and they should fire the old staff and hire a completely new one. staff has been there for too long and there work drive isn't there anymore. they need to retire

Parcel after hours drop off is always locked or full, some of the staff isn’t very friendly.

Staff is nice. Drop box is constantly locked though. Guess it’s not 24 hours. They also have short hours.

Clerks are always chatting with customers they are friends with or familiar with despite lines. They don't care. There is no urgency for them. Chat chat chat away...The 2 female clerks have been in their jobs too long at this branch and can behave the way they want, and choose who they are courteous to. Looks like a change of scenery and position could do them some good and their departure could be a major improvement to this branch.

I'm going to buck the trend on the other reviews and say that I for the most part enjoy the service that I receive at this post office. I can't recall the woman's name that's usually on the right side of the counter, but she's always been very pleasant and helpful. There are some upgraded storage lockers that I haven't used yet but overall the location is kept clean and presentable.

Had something very important mailed to me express that I needed in order to pick up my epilepsy medication. Was supposed to arrive Thursday- was late.. I get it, covid and Hawaii. So Friday comes and I see it is out for delivery . So I purposely stay home so I can get it. No one knocks on my door. Nothing in the mail all day. So Saturday comes around, I have a seizure. No big deal. I manage to make it to this post office (that I know is my post office because I have an Aina Haina zip code) before closing and there's this woman that is working , Asian . Glasses. Name is Cindy. She asks me what I need help with & I tell her. I start to pull out the paper with my tracking number and before I can show it to her she says "well what's your zip code?" It's 96821. She says "ooh! Oh ok. I'm going to give you this number and this is the carrier you want to call." Puts the sticker on, covering myy tracking number and says have a good day. Very cold. I look up the phone number and it's Hawaii Kai post office. Naive as I am, I believe that I made the mistake on the damn area I live in. It's past closing so I go to the Hawaii Kai post office on Saturday. They get five stars. They were confused on why my package would be with them, as was I, but still spent the time looking for it everywhere. For 30 mins to be exact. Had me leave my name and number in case it showed up, but most likely was lost. Sunday goes by, as does Monday because it's a holiday. Tuesday comes by and I catch the postman to ask what office he's from and he says AINA HAINA. Furious, I go back over there and it's Cindy again. She acts like she doesn't know who I am but she knows. I tell her my issue again and that Hawaii Kai spent time looking for it. After persuading her to do so, she THEN decides to ask me details such as my name and where my package came from. It took her maybe 2 minutes to find it, I kid you not. I very nicely took my package and left to the hospital to get my medicine - 1 seizure and 5 days later than expected. Thank you Cindy for finally choosing you could help me. Glad you could talk to Craig for 10 minutes about his new baby with 6 people in line behind you.

WORST ABSOLUTE WORST POST OFFICE IN THE COUNTRY. THE EMPLOYEES ARE THE BIGGEST JERKS. So, I got a pink re-delivery slip SPECIFICALLY for the Hawaii Kai Post Office. It didn't say why. Just that an authorized recipient wasn't available. So I went to the Hawaii Kai Post Office and they said that the Aina Haina post office used the incorrect slip. This was at 9:30 am. The manager apologized for them and was super nice. They're so fabulous there. It's like night & day! The manager told me I could go straight away to the posy office and even tho they weren't open they would help me. He called them to let them know I was on my way. When I got there I knocked and the Asian un-human with back rectangular glasses and a bowl haircut said they open at 11 and that she reminded the manager they don't open until 11 am and so no she wouldn't help me!! CAN YOU FREAKING BELIEVE THESE JERKS??? The manager from the Hawaii Kai Post office said it was a $2 and some change charge for extra shipping so it would be super easy for them to do. However after driving all the way there they refused to serve me. I'm blown away every single time by the n*** like nature of these bully's. There is INSURMOUNTABLE evidence that these non-human jerks shouldn't be working there or anywhere in customer service. Like EVER. They gave me the incorrect pink slip and then denied helping me when I drove there. Just WOW. It's SO disingenuous, disheartening, & despicable how the employees at this post office handle CUSTOMERS. Plus you'd think they'd help the person who was sent to them by the manager of the other location. They are mean & rude on purpose and if I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD! They need to be punished for their bad behavior. If they aren't it's never going to change. I hate these horrible people and wish I lived where I never had to deal with them. It's horrible to make all of us use this post office.

This Michelle is so unfriendly. Every time I am here I try to avoid this woman. I really appreciate all USPS is doing right now, as I know they have a lot to do. But she's been like this before Covid times. Eating and watching movie on her phone while serving customers or just s*** chatting. It's ridiculous that she still has her job.

They should SHUT DOWN this P.O.completely!! Not only is it old, outdated but the employees are very RUDE yet find time to talk stories, laugh with each other while customers wait! Michelle is the worst!! I avoid going to her! Very cold & abrupt! She acts like she's doing you a favor & hates her job!! Several encounters with her & she acted the same. Get rid of these workers who can't provide friendly, excellent customer service!!

I live in the neighborhood, but avoid going there because of the parking situation and because of the rude Asian lady with glasses, I think that her name is Cindy. She is hot and cold, she will be nice to one person and then turn around and be rude and mean to another for no reason. She will send you home to repackage for ridiculous reasons, the flat rat box corners don't meet exactly, not enough tape for sealing etc. This has been going on for years she shouldn't take her self loathing out on others, she needs to retire. All of the other postal workers are very nice and never had problems with any of them.
