Stay away from Queens, they will bill you for services you didn’t get and there billing department is just a bunch of robots who can’t get the charges right, and if you don’t pay they don’t care the will just keep texting, emailing, and sending you bills, and send you to collection even though you dispute the charges. Stay away !

Absolutely incredible. I had my daughter here and the treatment felt like a retreat more than a hospital. They have a celebration dinner that they give you after birth which is super adorable. They bring out a fancy table for mom and dad to enjoy a nice 3 course meal. Nurses/doctors/cna/phlebotomists are all incredible people who know their stuff and treat mothers and babies very well. Food delivered for breakfast lunch and dinner to your room for free. Cannot recommend a better hospital to trust with your birth.

My daughter recently had baby there and the nurses were horrible. We had a date for induction and so we went in. Just wanted to say Sharlene (Shar) and charge nurse Karen were the worst nurses I have ever encountered. Being in the medical field myself and being on the other side, the care my daughter received was unacceptable and these nurses should not be in this field. My daughter’s OB Dr Foley was awesome. He was even disrespected by Shar and Karen. We were kicked out and were told to come back when her water broke or she went into labor. So we ended back up at the hospital later that night after waiting the first time 8 hrs. I’m not sure the night nurses name but she was a complete joke and needs to go back to Idaho. She was disrespectful to my daughter, her husband and myself. Just wanted to say this birthing experience for my daughter at this hospital was not the best. It was all because of 3 poor pathetic nursing staff.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience dealing with workers at this place. Specifically one worker who is named, Trisha Mae. Sadly, she shares patient information with people outside of the workplace while also taking videos, Im assuming without patient knowledge, and sending them out making fun of them. I don’t feel safe knowing a person like that is working there willingly sharing patient information. I hope workers are kept in check and know the responsibility of their position. No one deserves to be made fun of in a vulnerable state where they think they can trust their own doctor. Please take care of this issue.

Just completed a Catscan procedure at the Imaging Department of the Queen's Medical Center in town today. Would like to give a shout-out to "Irene", the Catscan Technician. She was very personable and respectful and made my respective procedure very pleasant. She answered all my questions and made me at ease throughout. Before I knew it, my procedure was completed successfully. Received my medical results and details within the hour when I arrived home.

Had two appointments with an endocrinologist and she informed me she would be leaving. Asked for female endocrinologist and at my next appointment had a male. When asked for a new doctor that was a female they said they normally don't let patients change doctors..... For a month and a half I have been taking a new medication for my thyroid due to hypothyroidism. The medication says it can cause heart palpitations. Last week on my way to work I was driving and my heart was having palpitations I became light headed, nauseous and full body tingling. 911 was called and I went to the ER for blood work, EKG, and chest X-ray to see if it was a heart issue. Called over and over and even before this happened I had been calling to get ahold of Queens Endocrinology no one would answer the phone or respond to my email asking if I can stop taking my meds. Since I haven't been able to work very much due to light headed and nausea. This week went to urgent care then decided to just drive to endocrinology and talk to them in person. I was told they are short staffed and they would draw labs and would see me in 4 weeks when the doctor gets back from her vacation that she is about to take. Called and complained to Queens advocacy line never heard back from the manager.... Yesterday while trying to work a half day I guess they called to fit me into an appointment. But since I didn't reply they said the doctor would just see me in 4 weeks. After voicing my frustrations they said we will see if someone will call you later today. No call yesterday but did get a call today and doctor basically said I'm fine. I maybe be having issues but it's not my thyroid is fine and the meds "don't do that." Talked with pharmacist and they said T3 can cause heart palpitations. Gas lighted my a endocrinologist-I don't think so. So that being said I was also told by my pcp office that no endocrinologist in the state of Hawaii would take me after being under the care of another. It is my patient right to see who ever I choose to care for me. I told the endocrinologist and PCP I no longer feel confident in the care that they can provide me. They have lack of empathy. Told by the endocrinologist he apologizes but they are short staffed while that may be true I have work all my life in healthcare.... It takes a few mins to pick up a phone and contact a patient to check on them or to explain the circumstances. - When I am headed to the ER because I feel my thyroid meds are doing this and I send a Email you should be following up with that patient you prescribed too. People freak out more when there is miscommunication or lack of communication. I wanted to know if this feeling is normal if I just stop taking those meds or if they thought the thyroid meds were the cause. It should have not taken over a week for a phone call by the doctor! Laziness and lack of quality care

It might have been nice that the radiologist at Queens bothered to mention that I had a 13.8 mil kidney stone that was VERY visible on my X-ray. Time was wasted till I got a CT. Was very unpleasant to say the least. When my doctor showed me the X-ray I could not believe the kidney stone was so visible and nothing was said.

Avoid this hospital. Straub is much nicer. They converted rooms that are meant for single occupancy into double. Although there's a couple nice Drs and Nurses the majority of the staff is rude. Overcrowded and filthy. Zero regard for patient comfort. You're fed a poor diet in a cramped dank room and no exercise. Guaranteed to deteriorate.
