Better off going elsewhere. No restroom, despite getting gas there it isn’t available to the public. Gas was $4.75, which seemed pricey compared to others we then passed by

This Texaco gas station is located on the corner of N. King & Kalihi Street and is conveniently located at the beginning of Likelike Highway nearby H1 Freeway. The prices of gas is competitive because there are several other gas stations in the Kalihi/Kapalama/Dillingham area. Plus you get quality Texaco with Techron gasoline. Although this gas station doesn't have an automatic car wash, nor do they have a full service garage, they are open 24 hours with a small convenient store.

PRODUCTS Good News: Their food mart has one of the biggest selections of products I've seen at a mini mart. They've got all kinds of snacks-including a lot of Asian snacks us local are familiar with. They even sell some produce like onions and garlic. I even noticed they have baking products and household items like cotton balls. So, if I ever run out of cotton balls, I know I can hit up Chevron for them??? Lol Bad News: I bought boiled peanuts from there once; it's one of their regular products. Not sure why I decided to buy it from a mini mart but I did. When I got to work and opened the bag, I discovered mold on a lot of the peanuts. I called to let them know so they could take all the peanuts off the shelf. They told me to come back to get a refund. I didn't end up brining the peanuts back; I was mostly concerned that they were going to sell the rest of the moldy peanuts. SERVICE Good News: I'd say their employees are pretty friendly for convenience store employees. I haven't encountered any unapproachable employees so far. If they hate their job, they do a good job hiding it. Bad News: I had to put air in my tire and their air and water machine was broken. There was no sign indicating it was broken but it wasn't working. A few weeks later, my boyfriend tried to put air in his tires and it was still broken. No sign. We don't even bother anymore. LOCATION Good News: This Chevron is located across the street from New City Nissan and Jack in the Box on King Street in Kalihi. It's super convenient and it's a quick in and out right off the main road. It's never usually busy and there's ample parking. Bad News: This gas station is kind of in a sketchy area, the side street next to it is not somewhere you want to be late at night or anything. Despite the little hiccups I've encountered here, I like this particular Chevron for its convenience, customer service and wide variety of products available. Oh, and the gas is pretty cheap compared to other Chevrons. Can't forget that!

I'm on the fence about this Chevron. After being newly renovated to match the new 'design' of the pumps, their gas prices are still one of the lowest of their kind in Kalihi, which is great. Funny this is that it's also in one of the shadiest areas. I guess we're not looking for the best service in lieu of rising prices, but it would also be great to feel safe when you're pumping gas. Bottom Line: Pretty good price! Note: Hardly busy
