Supermarkets in Honolulu, HI

“As expected, Don Quijote's souvenirs, meat, vegetables, everything is cheaper than other supermarkets in Honolulu.Especially the sausages and beef were reasonably priced.Fruits and vegetables are inflated prices probably because they come from mainland America. They also sell Japanese apples, and I tasted them and they were delicious.Donki's unique Japanese pop music is fun, and of all the supermarkets I visited, I had the most fun shopping here.Donki is good because all the souvenirs to Japan are cheap. If you drink alcohol, you may be asked to show your passport, so be sure to bring your ID with you.Majica cannot be used, so please do not bring it with you.The Serta Andakee store in front of the entrance is a popular store that has been around since the days of Daiei.”

“A supermarket located in the center of Waikiki. The entrance is on the second floor, so it may be difficult to see the entrance at first glance.
・It's cheaper than the surrounding stores, and it's a new facility so it's very clean.
・The poke sold by weight is delicious! 1/2Ib.
(pound) is quite a volume. Since 1 pound is about 450g, I chose two flavors of 1/2 each.
・A wide variety of fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish. There's also a lot of alcohol. (Beer is sold in single bottles only in long cans)
・We also have macadamia nuts and Lion coffee that are good souvenirs, but there aren't that many.”

“Times continues to top the list of places with "real hometown feel."Every time I've been in, I've been helped by a very friendly and customer service oriented person, regardless of the department, or even how obvious the solution to my request/need was. Thank you and I hope you always enjoy what you do because it shows!”

“This is a good place for overall Chinatown shopping, and especially for vegetarian “meats” at a good price, with good selection (almost too good - some made me laugh). They sell a vegan (made without egg whites, which is kind of rare) “ham” for cheaper than other places - this is da bomb for vegan musubī or daimoni etc. Very clean also.”

“For many many years I was forever and ever time supermarket shopper. During the pandemic Safeway their neighbor came out with small meals they are $9.99 for one there is grilled chicken, turkey, spaghetti, meatloaf Two Scoops of mashed potato and some green beans. Times does have their hot food area that is no longer staffed except by possibly one or two people that really don't come out to help they're meant to be in the kitchen apparently. I think times could take a lesson from Safeway in the prep of the way Safeway has their meals in the Cold Case easy to see pick up go to the cashier pay and leave. The hot food at times just is not appetizing, in hot warmer containers and most times not refilled. I love you times, take a lesson from your neighbor. Thank you times for your prompt and positive response to the suggestions. You know, for a while there you had some locally made pasta there was spaghetti there was penne pasta and there was one more pasta dish it was in the area where now the sushi is located for grab and go. I bought that consistently while you carried it. Just thinking out loud, you guys are awesome and that pasta was awesome especially during pandemic time it was good stuff and priced well. Again, Mahalo times you are the epitome of what Hawaii and the Aloha are about.”

“Staff are really helpful. Gotta watch their pricing. Sometimes, items ring up for a different price than advertised. I've purchased expired items twice on accident, soy milk, and coconut water.”

“2024/7
There is a rare poke.
Spicy miso ahi? with a name like
The taste was fresh and had a taste like kimchi for the first time. I also bought the Hawaiian style and both were delicious.
There are fewer people than Waikiki, so you can take your time and think about your purchase.”

“Hot food counter review - Come here often to get plate lunch (great options, huge portions for cheap) and Tad is always so pleasant, patient and has a smile on his face even when the lines are super long. It seems like such a small thing but I go out of my way to get my food from here bc it’s such a pleasant experience when other places seem robotic and annoyed. He embodies the aloha spirit.”
