Sun Chong Grocery is a long-time favorite store with thousands of items, including seeds, herbs, dried seafood, and unique products not found elsewhere. It is known as the primary place for fresh, seasonal lychee, particularly Kaimana lychee from Hilo and the Big Island, described as big, red, juicy, and plump. The owners provide excellent customer service, and everyone is nice, sometimes offering samples like fresh jujubes. They also carry super cute merch, lemon peel candies, and other favorites like honey ume. The prices are firm, but the quality of the fruits ensures customers return.
Freshest lychee. Their day old lychee is $5.99 /lb… but day of is $17/lb if I heard right 😂lychee from big island is delivered every morning!! So many other products like seeds and herbs. They have super cute merch too
