“I recently purchased a beautiful wall clock from CocoNene Ala Moana. There was an issue with my clock when I got it home. I returned to the store where their manager Alexis addressed the problem promptly and professionally without question. I can't wait to make another purchase from CocoNene!”
“Visited Uyeda shoe store today about 1:30pm and was greeted by a very pleasant store rep Kailey. She made me feel very comfortable. She was also very knowledgeable as to what type of shoe would be better for my situation. It was like she knew me for years. Kailey thank you so much for your pleasant and professional service. I will definitely spread the word about this shoe store and to be sure to ask for Kailey.”
“The workers are very knowledgeable. Bring in your old running shoes for them to see your tread pattern and running style. They have workers that speak both English and Japanese.”
“This is a second-hand clothing store recommended for vintage lovers! It was overwhelmingly cheaper than Japan and it was really great!
I wish I had gone earlier and had a closer look!
Is it ending a little early? I tought!
Also, it's quite far from the center.”
“Born and raised in Hawaii, one is accustomed to wearing slippers. I primarily wore the "rubbah slippas" that my family would pick up for me at Long's. Slippers in Hawaii is the result of the Japanese immigrants who came to Hawaii as they brought along the Japanese zori, or Japanese sandals that are made of natural or synthetic materials. As I grew older, I would still wear rubber slippers but started to venture into Birkenstocks as they were introduced to me during my college days. When I moved back to Hawaii, I noticed some colleagues and people around me wore Scott Hawaii (SH) slippers, which can be categorized as higher end sandals that are meant for comfort and durability. At that time I couldn't visualize myself investing in such footwear. Embarrassingly, I got my first pair of SH slippers in 2010 when it was given to me as a gift. They were heavier than what I have been wearing all my life but really appreciated the comfort and longevity. I ended up with another pair from SH that I've been using for over 7 years. Such a great investment Recently, I've noticed that my pair of SH slippers are on its last leg with some cracks here there and it was time to replace them. I recall reading Lyla D.'s review on SH so after a frustrating day at the office, I decided that I needed retail therapy so I made my way over here before heading home. It was kinda confusing to find here but I remembered the address so I parked in one of the stalls and walked in. I saw the SH sticker on the door as met a male who was on his way out and he blurted "Go to the second floor." The 2F is SH's display room with staff to assist you. There was an elderly couple who was shopping for sandals and I was assisted by a young female who greeted me. I told her I wanted to replace my existing pair and she asked what I was looking for. I just wanted the standard black pair and I had no idea what my size is. We checked the bottom of my existing pair but the sole was run down that the number size was not visible. She went to the warehouse to bring me several sizes to try on. While waiting I checked out their merchandise display and saw an array of different male, female, unisex and children sandals. I really appreciated the art decor that depicted Hawaii well. The staff returned with several sizes and we went down the sizes until the fit was right. I initially planned on getting the plain, standard all black slippers but saw this military green strap that piqued my interest. My eyes then landed on navy blue ono so I asked the associate to bring both. I tried both colors on and both colors appealed to me. I then asked for the price, where she advised me $30 per pair. People may feel the price tag as high but I don't mind paying for comfort and quality, especially with my satisfied experience up till now. You pay for comfort and this purchase can also be viewed as an investment. I ended up getting both pairs. I've been using my current pair of SH slippers for over 6 years and have also taken them with me when I traveled to California and Japan. SH will continue to be my choice of slippers and highly recommend them. Their products can also be purchased online but make your way over here to view and try on the product. 2024 #10”
“Good place to find work shoes and boots. It's a small store bug they have a good selection. The staff are friendly and attentive. Be aware that they will try to steer you towards the more expensive options because they are salesmen. Overall I had a good experience.”

515 Ward Ave, Honolulu“Us Hawaii folk like to be sad about not having an REI on island, but between Uloha and Climb Aloha, our bases are pretty covered. Very good selection of outdoor gear crammed into a tiny space. They even have a bunch of Uloha logo merch, in the form of shirts, hats, Nalgenes, sleeping bags, and more. Helpful sales staff.”
“Excellent store with top goods and great service. Ken made my experience extra special speaking to me about the products with great knowledge and also conversing about Hawaii, mainland America, Japan and my own country Australia.I will definitely return in future trips!Thank you!”
“The sales associate Matthew was beyond helpful! He was very knowledgeable and patient and because of his expertise I left with the best possible shoe for what I needed.Once again thank you to Matthew for the help!”
“Love having 2 harbors locations - fun to check out if you’re in Waikiki since there’s not many non-luxury or non-touristy stores for locals in the area!Smaller location but still great curation of men’s & women’s vintage streetwear, and sneakers!”
“Had a great experience staff was very helpful in their recommendations bought some casual shoes and a pair of slippers( flip flops) both fit great and are super comfortable”
“One of the few stores I would prefer to shop at in person than online, staff was super friendly and helpful. I had 3-4 people help me out or check in with me while I was there. Looking forward to going back sometime.”

I think the staff was a little shocked when I said ring up all 3.
I can’t remember all their names, but the 3 that were there were so very helpful & so very kind. I appreciate y’all so very much & thank you for making my wife’s evening.
Thank you, Forrest from Pensacola, FL”

819 Kapahulu Ave, Honolulu“If you ever bought shoes at the Running Room, you will never go any place else. The staff is incredibly knowledgable about running shoes. They have all run marathons. The owner/manager understands how people move their feet and what the movement means for shoes. I bought my first pair of shoes from him two years ago. I learned I was wearing the wrong size and wrong kind of shoe. I loved those shoes so much that I returned to buy another pair today. They take a lot of time with each customer and learn what the person needs. They also educated the customer. The prices are reasonable for the level of service. I also picked up some workout clothes that were on sale. They carry a lot of running gear. They have a small parking lot next to the building. They are a local small business. You just can't get this kind of service anyplace else.”
“They have great variety of soccer shoes and let me say the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time! Super helpful and sweet gentleman that helped me and my family and didn’t make us feel like a burden like any other store in Honolulu unfortunately. My nephew was super happy and excited with the pair of soccer shoes he got! Will be back soon for sure! Much mahaloz??”
“We are a trio of 85 years old ladies who had an enjoyable lunch and get together with a friend from California. Our waiter, Kawai, was so nice—-very friendly, courteous and attentive. It was nice not to have a time limit which gave us time to catch up with each other. We all had the sautéed scallops which was an excellent choice. Mariposa is a very nice restaurant for luncheons and get togethers.”
“I stop by every time, but I can't buy anything every time.
Everything is so cute though
Clothes, miscellaneous goods, and tableware are made with overseas specifications.
Big, heavy. . .
I was thinking about buying this tableware, but it was too heavy so I gave up.
But just looking at it, just being there
It's a really fun space ♡
Visit in July 2024”

My Fiancé and I stopped in and was greeted by friendly staff and along the way Angie helped up find shoes, try on shoes, hats, and phone cases! She shared so much about the items and gave us SO much info :) Angie was not pushy at all which we respect!! Best customer service we’ve experienced!!!! Place was super clean and has amazing shoes!!! Will 100% come back!!! :)”
“Rating five star for awesome customer service. Had a pair that didn’t work out for me and reached out to the company and they went above and beyond to create the best solution for me and the employers in the store were eager to help. Thank you Adonis & Island Slipper!”
“We are from Maui but was on vacation in Oahu and at the Alamoana Vans location. The Sales associate that assisted us (Ashley) was so welcoming and helpful from the moment we stepped into the store. We initially came in with the intentions of just getting my boyfriend a pair of shoes but Ashely let us know about a promo they had going on and gave us some great insight about the shoes and helped us during our time in the store. We ended up making a purchase of shoes for not only my boyfriend but also for myself and our son, lol. Great experience, thank you Ashley V. We look forward to seeing you again on our next trip to Oahu.”
“First of all their slippers are GREAT. Excellent workmanship and value. The staff their is unbelievable. My niece needed a special pair of slippers because of a slight birth defect, she needs 2 different sizes of shoes/slippers for each foot. When asked if they would accommodate, WITHOUT hesitation they agreed to charge me only 1 pair instead of 2. I was willing to pay for the 2 BUT they would NOT hear of it. What an AWESOME gesture. For this reason alone we should support and purchase from this LOCAL company. I have let everyone in my company to buy their products and will continue to do so to anyone I know looking for slipper. GREAT JOB KAKA'AKO KASUALS. MUCH MAHALO”

1170 Auahi St, Honolulu“This is an off-shop of a high-end department store. If you take your time and look slowly, you're sure to find some bargains. In the United States, branded products that would be unthinkable in Japan are being sold like they are being thrown away. Especially the shoes and bags are from this brand.”
“This place has great customer service and wide variety of Birkenstocks. I was in need of some sandals and found this place on yelp. I'm glad I stopped by for the friendly experience. The lady working (didn't get her name unfortunately) made sure to provide different options and worked with me to find the ideal pair. I appreciate she didn't add pressure into a purchase and genuinely wanted to help. I highly recommend coming here if you're in need of some sandals or shoe's in general. In my situation, I was mainly looking to purchase Birkenstocks and I'm glad I came here.”
“Besides the awesome car culture items, the staff was great! Shoutout to James who was very friendly! Love this store and so I promoted it on my social media accounts. Hope to see this shop grow more!”
“The card reader wasn’t working the day I went but the staff was super helpful and tried multiple times to process the purchase. We decided to come back the next day and Jimmy specifically was super helpful. He saved my shoes for the next day and I was able to purchase them. Thank you to all the staff at this footlocker!”
“Hell yeah! This place is my go to, whenever I'm In Hawaii. The staff's are super nice and very very helpful! You need to check it out, if you're at the international Market Place in Waikiki.”
“Clothing styles appear to appeal to the younger generation. Very casual. Sundresses, pants, jeans, sleeveless blouses, under garments, nursing uniforms, costume jewelry, plus size clothing, shorts, etc. Not the best quality fabrics. Cheaply made. I've shopped there a number of times and noticed torn garments. Items are reasonably priced. I would shop here again because I like the styles and variety.”
“This is the larger of thee 2 stores we visited and it does have the better selection. The lady helping us was very friendly and took her time so as not to rush us.”
“Mirzeli helped me pick out the perfect display for myself and my two kids. She was patient and willing to go above and beyond in her customer service to help me. Highly recommend going to her for any help as well as shopping here to support a locally made craft.”
