Shirley’s flower shop was the only shop that had fresh pikake Lei’s. We had tried to find it all over Honolulu and finally found it here! The price was slightly high but because it’s rare to find fresh pikake lei’s we bought it and it was worth it!

For a $100 arrangement I got a $25 one. No design to the flowers, no filler to lighten the look of the flowers. The daylilies were tight buds that didn't open for several days, just as the other flowers were beginning to droop. I will not use Shirley's again. Also had the last name spelled wrong on the card...even after I spelled it when ordering. Sad... Another review says Shirley's is the ONLY florist 1-800-flowers uses...so I won't be using 1-800 anymore!!

I received flowers from my estate attorney yesterday, a very nice gesture. I'm sure he paid a hefty price for the arrangement he chose, however, the roses in the arrangement were fading when I received them. They had brown edges and were sagging over like they were old and about ready to be thrown away. I called Shirley's Flowers to inform them of the situation and the person answering the phone was very nice and apologetic. She said they would replace the bouquet with a new arrangement tomorrow and told me of the difficulty many florists have with roses in Hawaii. If roses are so difficult to keep fresh, why do they offer them? Tropical flowers thrive here and stay fresh for weeks, why not use them instead of mainland roses? After all, if you know they're going to die in a few short hours, why risk your business reputation like that? I'll wait and see what condition the flowers are delivered in tomorrow before deciding if I'll ever purchase flowers from this company in the future, but feel that every order should be checked for quality and freshness before it is sent out, as any good florist should do.

Only reason I'm giving Shirley's Flowers 1 star is because they delivered my order on Mother's Day as expected.The $80 arrangement thru 1-800-Flowers, ordered more than 2 weeks before Mother's Day, was supposed to be a One of a Kind Florist's Special Design. The arrangement my mother received was cheap looking and ugly. It looked like they ran out of flowers and swept up the cheapest stuff off the floor of their refrigerator and stuffed it in a vase. NOT ONE ROSE was in the arrangement - on Mother's Day - but they managed to put in 2 nice lilies and a plastic "Happy Mother's Day" insert.1-800-Flowers did their part and refunded 1/2 the cost when I offered photos. They also chose to send a replacement order of their Fields of Europe arrangement at no charge. Later that day I received a call saying that the florist couldn't create that arrangement and instead would send 2 dozen long stem roses. I was fine with that. Then, a few hours later I received a confirmation email for 1 dozen red roses. At that point I gave up and figured I was ahead. Fast forward to today. I logged in and found that the flowers had NOT been delivered as promised. I called 1-800-flowers to find out what was going on - they said the florist, Shirley's, had rejected their replacement order. FYI, I've spent over 2 hours (over many days) on the phone with them trying to get to some kind of fair resolution with this transaction. This situation has been a complete pain in the butt.By the way, Shirley's is the ONLY florist that 800-Flowers works with in Honolulu. So, if you need or want to send flowers to someone in Honolulu, don't use Shirley's/1-800-flowers. Do some research and find yourself an ethical florist who knows how to create something beautiful.

I ordered a flower arrangement for Grandma's 90th birthday through 1-800Flowers, which was put together by local florists at Shirley's Flowers. The arrangement was delivered on time, but unfortunately was smaller than what I ordered and was delivered with wilted flowers in the arrangement. I called 1-800Flowers, who said a replacement would be delivered the next day. I then got a call back saying that Shirley's Flowers is refusing to make a replacement arrangement. I can't believe they don't stand behind their work and make it right. I'm very disappointed they would even send out a wilted arrangement in the first place, but then refuse to fix it. I give them one star, because I don't have the option to give zero stars.

This is really sad to leave a poor review for a local business, as I am in favor of supporting it. I called Shirley's flowers for a last minute order for a funeral wreath on 5/17 and needed it to be delivered on 5/20. The funeral was for my 21 year old niece. The woman said they would be glad to help out and do it despite the order being last minute. I put in the order, and we got nothing on the day of the funeral. I tried calling the day of during their business hours and no one picked up. Next day, I tried calling several times and no one picked up and there was no way to leave a voice message. Luckily I was not charged on my credit card, but now I am concerned they may have the wrong date and I don't want to be charged in the future. Can't communicate that with them if they won't pick up their phone. All I can say is I am really disappointed in them. Especially because this let down my family during a time of difficulty.

My fiancé ordered my Valentine's Day flowers from 1800 flowers and the order was filled by this business. Flowers were delivered on time, hence the 1 star, but the roses I received didn't even make it past the weekend and the vase was overflowing with water upon delivery :( Then to make matters worse, I tried to contact the business directly but was met with a seemingly answered call but no response and was hung up on..

I had planned for our family to have a portrait session done during our visit to Oahu, and I really wanted for us to wear leis. Shirley's was recommended to us. I had almost forgotten that they also provided the flowers for our wedding here back in 2014, and they did a wonderful job with everything. The haku leis we ordered for me and my daughter turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend them. Thanks again, Shirley & team!

I placed an order with 1-800 Flowers and my mom received a nice bouquet. I ordered the $99.99 One of a Kind Bouquet, which is florist's choice. The bouquet she received was nice, but not worth $100. I contacted 1-800 Flowers and they said they would send a replacement bouquet but the order was rejected. They only notified me the day after it was supposed to be delivered. I realize that it's a combination issue between Shirley's and 1-800 Flowers, but the lack of quality and response from Shirley's to 1-800 Flowers is inexcusable.

I ordered a bouquet of flowers through 1 (800) Flowers and they used this florist. I was so upset when I saw a picture of the bouquet delivered. It looked nothing at all like the one I ordered, it did not look like a "large" bouquet as I ordered, and it seemed like someone just took a bunch of flowers and threw them in the vase. Very embarrassing to me as the giver of them for a special occasion. I can't arrange flowers but even I could have done better than that!! When I sent the picture to 1(800) Flowers they agreed and are refunding my purchase.

Excellent choice and tasteful. Tried the big flower distributors and every time I found something I liked I was told not available in Hawaii. FRUSTRATING until I reached Shirley’s Flowers who put it all together. Great job! Even the delivery man who I believe worked for a specific flower delivery service was BP the thoughtful punctual and positive.

Because of a bad experience with another florist in the past, I am always hesitant to place an order and have it delivered. I am a control freak. lol Thank you Shirley's Flowers for creating and delivering a beautiful flower arrangement to my client. She was so impressed! She was so happy and said that the beautiful flowers really made her day. I wanted to cheer her up after she fell and had to be off her feet for a few days. Mission accomplished! The flowers were fresh and the end product was just as beautiful as the picture on the 1800Flowers website.
