Right now they have 1 cashier and 15 shoppers in line with full shopping carts. 1 Hour line MINIMUM. Self help has a much longer line so I just went home empty handed. I do NOT want to pay the premium price Safeway demands, nor to I want to spend more than an hour in line. I feel sorry for the checkout people because everyone is mad because they were MADE to wait so long.
Fix your store and lower your prices. YOU are NOT on the Beach. Waikiki Market is cheaper and better than Safeway in every way except they do not have tomato juice. For instance Safeway charges $2 more per 12 pack of PBR, basically FULL ABC price or more with a line you will regret.
Obviously Sam's Club and Walmart are way cheaper than Safeway and more convenient. Avoid Safeway.

You can buy it cheaper than ABC store. As for Kona Bar, it was half the price at the airport. And it's spacious and you can buy a lot of things. Also, you can see Diamond Head clearly from the parking lot on the second floor.

This is the supermarket I went to every day when I went to Hawaii with my family.
I recommend "Poke". I was hooked on the exquisite taste.
The meat sold here is in large quantities! It doesn't matter if you're traveling with your family, but if you're traveling alone, you'll end up ruining your food if you're not careful.
Also, if you shop at Safeway, you should definitely get a points card. You can buy it at a ridiculously discounted member price.
Just tell the cashier that I would like to make a point card and she will give it to you.

ZERO STARS! My husband went to buy us a bottle he got the wrong kind so we called customer service they said we could return unopened bottle of liquor. he went back the same day he bought it. 1st off the manager said they didn’t sell that kind of liquor (my husband bought it there same day. THEY DO)Made it seem he accused my husband of stealing and lieing! Unacceptable and lastly he said there were no returns of alcohol even though we called ahead of time and they said yes ! Horrible service horrible management ! Wasted time and money on an Uber after we got told we were able to return the bottle. Did not come back here at all.
