Not just for groceries... As I watch our local Safeways transform itself to this multi-use area to do much more than just grocery shopping...it worked because prior to that I've never shopped there very much at all. Besides the usual pharmacy, banking and even delivery or curbside that many grocery stores have now added for additional services they do have Starbucks and who haven't gone there for that alone...yup yup! The best thing that does set them aside is the DMV kiosk. Literally takes just a minute it's the best convenience that I truly love not just that you don't have to stand in long lines to get it done there's isn't a time that it will close lol! There is a $4.00 convenience fee added along with a 2.5% fee for credit/debit card it's still all worth it and it print it out so there is no waiting. The vibe here is always fun and bright sometimes building random art out of soda boxes is impressive along with a floral area and covered parking getting here is easy...oh and don't forget the $5 Fridays the deals are so fun and amazing! Thank you!

I had the worst check out experience with Kim. I always come in and have a great experience, but today was different. Kim was unfriendly and spilled my drink and didn't even say anything and just bagged it. Rude ! Don't know if I'll be coming back

If you’re African American they will follow you around, The security at this location targets me often, I’m ? sure I have more money in my savings than everyone working here combined! It’s ridiculous to profile customers shopping! I refuse to ever spend another dime at Safeway PERIOD…

For some time now, this location's Safeway haven't been selling butter mochi. I haven't checked the other locations but this location was the most convenient for me. When I inquired about it to one of the staffs in the bakery department, they told me I can place an order for it. And so I did. (Note that the day I ordered was on a Friday.) They written the order on a carbon paper and gave me the customer portion of the receipt. I requested to pick it up the day after as I had planned it for a potluck. On the day of, I received a phone call in the later half of the day where the staff informed me that they "didn't have it at the front." Confused, I called the bakery department to be answered by a lady with a heavy accent. I tried getting clarification on the matter. I understood that they didn't have it at the front, hence the special order. But it was difficult to comprehend the lady due to her accent as she kept repeating "no more at front" or that they lost my paper of the order. I questioned her how they lost the paper of an order, much less be able to contact me if they lost it. I have nothing against those whose English isn't their first language. But it does affect communication when a confusion like this occurs, so I asked her if I could speak to another staff. I heard her going to the back and indistinct chatter with the other staffs. But only to find the same lady coming back to answer the phone. The lady said "come back tomorrow" and by this point, I was getting a bit frustrated. I placed an order THE DAY BEFORE because they haven't been making it. If they haven't been making it for a while where I had to place a pre-order that they DIDNT COMPLY TO, then why would I think that they'll have it the day after? And I needed it for an event that was occurring on Sat. I don't need it the day after. After a back and forth discussion, the lady went to the back once more. A new voice answered the phone but then they put me on hold for over 3 minute. At that point, it wasn't worth it and I gave up. Because of this whole ordeal, I had to have a last minute plan to bring for my potluck event that day. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and I would NOT be coming here again. I just can't help but to think what's the point of placing an order if you're going to NOT ADHERE TO THE ORDER AND LOSE THE RECEIPT. Best try your luck somewhere else than here.

Friday special is great but sometimes hard to find and not that crowded early morning. Lot of parking and fast self checkout. Safeway card is in their app. My List shows location but aisle number hard to find in store. Additional handicap parking available

Always enjoy coming to this Safeway (excluding the donut/mouse incident). Good sales and clean aisles. Five dollar Fridays. App coupons and Just for you deals. Almost all of cashiers and employees are helpful here. If you can't find something that was on sale, just ask and they'll check for you or issue you a rain check ( some exclusions apply). There's also a Starbucks located at this location.

They did not accept my valid United voucher after I had just used one successfully at Pieology Pizzeria after my canceled flight.

I actually kind of like this Safeway. I remember when it was just getting built from its old location across the street. The whole second floor store situation makes this location weird and quirky. It's kinda hard to use the escalator with a bunch of bags, so I try to park on the elevator side and use that huge elevator. The Safeway store is on the second floor. The first floor is for parking and there are some small stores on the street side of the lot. The elevator lets out right next to Starbucks, so that's cool. This store is very large and there are always a lot of people shopping. I like that things seem to be rotated out (or bought out) quickly and that there are frequent sales on things I normally buy. The best deal happened when I happened to be shopping for a belated Friendsgiving celebration. Turkeys were only $0.49 per pound. What a deal. On my most recent visit, I picked up some sumo oranges for $4.99 per pound. I feel like that's less than Whole Foods and they were sweet and delicious. I'm usually impressed with the flower department at this store, but sometimes it is lacking or the flowers are old. At least they have flowers. The cashiers are nice and if you don't want to talk to a real person about your groceries, there are several self check outs.

This review is for the cashier named Lawrence. If any customer comes across this guy, either go to self checkout or get in another checkout lane unless you want to engage with a rude rancorous employee.I have been serviced by Lawrence before as this Safeway is close to my home. Even on those occasions I wouldn’t say he was rude, but just a guy clocked in to get his check and wasn’t as engaging compared to other cashiers. Totally understandable, it’s not easy working that kind of job and coming across all different types of customers is surely exhausting.I was buying two gift cards for a Christmas gift, and loaded $50 on each. I paid with my credit card and on the card reader it said my transaction was approved. Lawrence then tells me that my card declines yet my receipt prints. Confused I asked him why and what was declined on my card and he simply shrugged with “I don’t know.” Looking back at my receipt it looks like one of the gift cards didn’t receive the $50 I had paid for and I asked him if there was something I could do to get a refund or anything really. All he said was “I don’t know” and looked to wave over the next customer in line. He looked at me with a “figure it out yourself” attitude and I had cracked. I asked him “Why are you so bitter?” And I walked away to ask a different associate for a manager to figure out the confusion. Turns out the gift card was a dud and a part of a scam going on around a lot of stores where they would take the codes thus taking the money if anyone loaded one without them knowing. The issue was resolved thanks to management. That scam is not Lawrence’s or Managements fault, just an unfortunate thing going on. But my god Lawrence would it be the end of the world if you weren’t such a prick? But yes, that was my last experience with Lawrence as he was my 13th reason why I will avoid him anytime I pay a visit to this Safeway.

I don't normally go to Safeway, but my daughter asked me to pick up a gallon of milk and a package of Hawaiian rolls. Each item cost $9.99. I can go elsewhere here and get both items together for slightly more than $10. Are they paying their workers $40/hr? This isn't your buying local. This is a national chain. I will NEVER go there again.
