Don't buy here! The 14k so called yellow gold Hawaiian bracelet discolored within 7 months. Ordered a premium 12mm 14k yellow gold bracelet in Aug. 2023 with a total cost of around $3,900. Never worn since was slightly small. Kept in original box since then and checked in March 2024 and was shocked how discolored it was. It now looks rose gold and has black stains. No response from RHHJ. Shame on you RHHJ. It was once a seemingly regrettable company but no longer! Everyone, look elsewhere for your jewelry. I would not trust this company and will be letting everyone know about it.

Barry, Kim, Peter, Toni. The names I can remember are truly the best! Barry is so wonderful, passionate with so much knowledge! Kim was like having a best friend to talk to! The downtown location did an excellent job at repairing two of my gold Hawaiian bracelets! The staff are polite, kind and knowledgeable. They will give you options after speaking to the actual jeweler who does the work. All repairs were done beautifully and the enamel is well done. I've also purchased gold bracelets from the other store locations and on line. I travel to Hawaii annually but when I can't I call the Hawaii store and do everything via mail and on line. if you want quality and exceptional workmanship for anything involving Hawaiian heritage jewelry this is the company to go to. I purchased an item on the RHHJ website after Christmas. Great selection of Hawaiian jewelry - would have liked to have seen more descriptive details about some of their pendants, for example; i.e. Large - (vs small) What does large look like? dimensions? (did I miss something?) Their website or online purchasing option is not very clear. I chose the option of in-store pickup vs. FedEx delivery. However, I didnʻt know that when I paid online, in-store pickup is not an option. Nonetheless, I am satisfied with how quickly my questions were all answered via text messaging despite the New Years holiday. Note: I have little patience when a business doesnʻt respond within a reasonable amount of time (within 24 hours) to a customerʻs question/s or send an acknowledgement of receipt. Not the case with RHHJ. All in all - very happy with the service, menu, the price value (canʻt get around it), quality of jewelry. Established business in the history of Hawaiʻi. Would return in the future, and would recommend, and I have. I havenʻt received the items, yet; but, when I do, I will update my review, with a photo.

I have a Hawaiian bracelet that was a gift from my parents that needed to be enlarged and repaired. I initially dealt with RHHJ via text then email. I provided pictures, weight, drawings etc. of the bracelet and what I would need. Within what i considered a reasonable time frame they responded with an estimate and range. When in Hawaii a few months later, I visited the Bishop street location. I brought with me both the original bracelet and a ring I wanted sized. I was VERY concerned that the original hand etching be preserved/matched as closely as possible and took a chance b/c without these repairs i could not wear the jewelry. I left the pieces to be repaired/enlarged. The quote while not inexpensive was not different than the estimate provided via email. The ladies there were VERY helpful with suggestions and will provide a VERY (and I mean VERY) candid opinion on whether or not your piece is worth a repair or not. Of course we all know that Hawaiian jewelry can be sentimental so the choice is yours. This is a long story, but the ending is: I received both pieces in the mail in the time frame provided while at the store. Both repairs are IMPECABLE!!!!! They're my pieces and even I can't find the repairs...... the pieces are seamless and the etching is PERFECTLY matched. IMHO WORTH the $$ for artisan work. Pride in workmanship still lives here. Mai kūai mai iā lākou. aole pono i loko i ko lākou naau. They are just trying to swindle your money. In an email corespondents with them, they quoted me a price for a repair and reassured me that the gold that I had to do the repair was more than enough to fix my jewelry. I was comfortable with the price, then a few months later brought it in. The exact same gold ended up not being a fraction of what it was going to cost to do the repair. The whole time the man helping me was trying to convince me that I needed more gold to do the repair, when his head jeweler was standing there, saying that since its a cosmetic its up to me. Akahele mai nei e ka lāhui. Lele hihiu ka manu iwa.

I just received my pendant and was in total shock!! Not what I expected as the pendant got really small and doesn't fit my chain. I am assuming it's like for a child pendant. I did and always ordered from you when I lived on Oahu. The pendant was not this small at all!! I had one of these pendants before and it was the same size I had many years ago. (8mm) This pendant I just received was really short and small! Looks like a kid size pendant. I know I ordered from the correct adult size jewelry, not the kids one. I hope to hear from RHHJ soon as I just texted them. I will be waiting to hear back! - renee k

My husband and I recently visited Hawai’i and I was absolutely getting a Heritage bracelet like my mother had. She had hers for 55 years. We researched heavily and went to Royal who was by far the best quality. Barry was amazing, knowledgeable and helpful. Just got my bracelet delivered and I couldn’t be happier. It’s gorgeous. Hand made with master craftsmanship. Ty Royal and Barry! I’m in love and I’ll be back for more.

Been going here for years. Husband got me a chain and pendant from here over a decade ago. Brought it in to get it repaired. I was so glad to see they were still in business. They said I needed a new clasp. Took about a week and a half to fix, there's no parking there so I parked at Iolani palace and walked--it's nearby. Very friendly customer service and excellent quality work. Mahalo.

My local bestie suggested I check this spot out for authentic made Hawaiian jewelry. I was unsure what I wanted, unsure of sizing I needed, really just unsure lol. The sales auntie was super kind, let me try on sooo many bangles, and I somehow snagged a discount. I went classic for my first, but i am positive I'll be back for more (hopefully) custom pieces. the best! came here over 4 years ago, looking for a pendant for myself as I was pregnant with my first. We didn't know if it was a boy or girl but we knew that his/her name would start with the letter "E". Found this pendant and never took it off ever since. Gave birth with it and everything! It's so meaningful to me/us. Also, it's small/dainty enough that I wear it with another meaningful crucifix pendant. Recently, the enamel started coming off. I contacted them and they said it is free to fix, a lifetime warranty, as long as it was purchased there. I live on the mainland, but shipped it out. Just had to pay for insurance on the packaging when it returned back to me. They quoted me 4-6 weeks (I was so sad, as it was the longest I've been away from this pendant), but to my surprise took only a week to get back! Also, currently pregnant with our 2nd and her name will also start with E, so really I'm never gonna take it off lol. Sharon from RHHJ was my point of contact, and she's awesome. They have developed a lifetime customer. Mahalo!
