Really loved my stay with friends here. We had 5 of us in a two bedroom suite and it suited us perfectly. Location was perfectly in the heart of Waikiki, so we were walking distance to so many great businesses and restaurants. Staff was always friendly, attentive and helpful. The room was equipped with everything we needed, including a full sized fridge, oven, toaster and rice cooker. The beds were comfortable; even the pull out couch bed was comfortable. And the master bath had this fancy bidet with so many buttons; we all giggled as we tried it out. The Hilton hotel area is massive and ultra convenient, with so many restaurants, shops and bars on site. There are even two Starbucks available. The common areas are filled with beautiful art, flowers and water features. And I never had to deal with the musty smell that I've experienced at a few other Hawaiian hotels. The room designs are not as modern as other high end resorts, but the prime location and proximity to so many other attractions more than makes up for it. Swimming was fun in the many pools, lagoon and beach areas. They do a fantastic job of keeping everything clean and beautiful.

Have to admit, I love resorts where I can easily go to multiple bars and restaurants and this is Hiltons #1 largest hotel in terms of space/square footage. We went and stayed here for our honeymoon. They have a huge property and the reason why people keep getting crappy unupdated rooms per typical reviewers (kinda me too and I went through Costco!) is bc 4 of 8 of their towers are for Hilton Vacation Club timeshare members only those are the fancy updated ones, and 1 of the remaining 4 (Ali'i Tower) is $$$$ (private pool tho!), rest are reserved for the rest of the public and us Costco shmucks so you must book the room you want =) now you know. How do I know? Accidentally got looped into a timeshare tour for boat tix which I would've paid full price for but by the time I realized it was too late. It was awesome though we saw dolphins! And learned a lot during timeshare presentation but it was 2 hours and took away from our vacation a little bit. As a real estate contract expert by profession and married to a real estate agent, this was tough for us to get through but like i said learned a lot. For the record if you really want one, do your research there are websites (eBay is one surprisingly!??) where you can buy one for like 2-10% of Hiltons offer + annual maintenance costs due to people desperate to get them off their hands. If you have a big family and lots of time to travel idk it may work for you but buy secondhand (timeshares are purchases of time not property as they explain, but most people know are a bad idea bc theyre not a proper income-generating investment).Stayed in Diamond Head tower which I heard was the worst but given the options of towers for views when booking and upgrading to surprise my husband it was our best bet. Lpved the location!! Door wouldn't properly shut unless we shoved it, there was no hot water after 8am but we were steps from the ocean with great views so it was worth it. Our fridge was super cold which was cool! ;) lil store downstairs for beer and snacks and ABC stores on property too. This property attracts so many birds but there were no screens on the balcony I left the door open for a minute and a bird almost got in when I turned around!! I like weird birds though so I took lots of bird pics it's like half. Wonderful staff working here at the bars and restaurants (everywhere in Hawaii really - maybe I'd be more pleasant if I lived here lol)Lots of homeless people on the beach in tents (I'm from SF so it was nothing to me felt like home! had smoke breaks and chatted with some), but they're no threat they're just chillin and enjoying the beach like the rest of us, do not be worried just aware. Can snorkel or float happily right off the beach here or their lagoon which yes has fish bring a snorkel thats where i got comfy with mine, and waters right off their resort aren't bad (with my arm floaties and snorkel mask I went out super far saw cool fish!). If you're facing the pier and go to the left, water is mostly stand-able as far as 200 yards out but lots of sharp stuff so wear or buy water shoes from an ABC store or remember to stay snorkeling floating on your belly - lots of cool fish!!! To the right you lose being able to touch for a bit but then you can stand out on rocks but again wear shoes and dive in and see more)! Follow ocean rules!Loved the Friday night fireworks =)

Have stayed at this property 3X. Location. Location. Location. Great location. Awesome beach and lagoon. Really nice shops and restaurants. Nice rooms. Spacious and comfortable. Older property but that's okay. Hilton has a good brand. Tried to get a complimentary upgrade for our 20 year wedding anniversary. Was told for $80 per night they could upgrade us. Nope. Knocked off a star for $65 per day self parking and the music at Tapa Tower lounge. Music is sub par. Little to no Hawaiian music. No traditional Hawaiian music. Sad. HOWEVER, Ben Kama Music was excellent. He and his band were really good. Overall, good stay. I love this property.

We had a wonderful stay, and the price was great for 7 days. We rented a tesla and found that there was a charger in the parking garage. There is only one fast charger for this whole island. But there are various slower chargers throughout the island. There are alot of shopping to be done throughout the Village. My favorite was LV and The ABC store. There are several restaurants around the village. We went to all of them, and the food is good. I hated the valet price. It was about 100 a day to valet and 89 to self park. The beach was wonderful. Everything was perfect in the room. we were in a suite and the rooms were quite. I will stay here next time as there are several other buildings that you can stay. This resort is massive and you actually dont have to leave the resort.

I have 15 years hotel employment experience so I can tell a good property when I see one. I really really like this place. I stayed there last February and also we stayed there a few years ago for honeymoon. This staff is really nice and helpful. The property is super clean and it has a great beach access. It's a couple blocks walk to downtown Waikiki, which is a bit of a pain but it's worth it considering this properties location to the beach. My only real complaint is the fact that the music is way too loud in the evening. It can be heard from all around the property. When I was here a few years ago it seemed like the pool bar had a better menu. And also there are more servers walking around the pool area to see if you would like to order anything. I didn't quite get that the lost time I stayed here in February.I really like this hotel. But I may or may not stay here again. The resort fee keeps going up. I think it was $50 a night when I stayed here in February. The bigger problem actually was the fact that the music from the bars at night was super super loud! I don't know why I'm on the like 28th floor and I can hear it blasting up there. If I can hear it loudly on the 28th floor why would I go to the bar and have my eardrums bleeding. So yeah. I'm not sure if I would stay again. It's great for families it's great for couples but I don't want to be assaulted by loud music. I don't mind music it's to draw people into the bar area, I get it. I'm also afraid that if I tried to ask for a quite a room I'll get something way in the back without a view. My wife stayed the week prior to me, yeah we took separate vacations cuz we had three dogs at the time. But she stayed in the rainbow tower beachside and she said the music was pretty loud from there. Please Hilton please fix this. I may be the only person complaining about this. But this is a beautiful historic property! I've even seen it on I Dream of Jeannie. Everything was clean. They do a great job in landscaping, hats off to the landscaping crew! My room is super nice and I would like to come back again, possibly.Oh, and great fireworks show, don't miss it!

I'm disappointed in this property and had higher hopes... I was excited to stay here for the lagoons and pool area for the kids....The water in the pool is SO cold and everyone piles into the hot tubs, nobody monitors who goes in so little babies are in there just peeing all over the place. (See pic) I didn't see any life guards and the pool closes at 6pm. Other resort pools we stayed at closed at 10pm (post covid). The service was just ok, hard selling was annoying... I opted in the app prior to check in to request an upgrade to a Jr. suite for $165 per night and was ready to pay that but the guy at check in said it would actually be 250 for a jr suite then offered me a room in the same alihi tower I was apparently already supposed to be booked in for $50 more per night.. I showed him my email saying the suite is $165 and it was just awkward, it's not the first time Hilton service has been like this which is why I switched to Bonvoy but that is another story. Our air conditioning was broken and repaired on the second day, but first night was HOT! Ric did a great job for housekeeping and I'm grateful for that, he was very hospitable. The beds were small but very comfortable and overall the complex is convenient- they have a great ABC store with snacks, Aoki was an awesome restaurant on property- Dwayne was epic! There were a lot of homeless people and people strung out on the beach when I went to watch the sunrise, I didn't feel comfortable.. I thought the resort was independent since it is the tail end of Waikiki but I was wrong. With so many properties to choose from in Hawaii I'd suggest looking elsewhere.. I wouldn't stay here again, hope this helps.

Massive resort and very convenient. We used Costco to book. Only negative for us was the nasty, nasty bathrooms. The water didn't go down the drain very well. The water plugs were quite rusty. I think this is because we were defaulted to the Diamond hotel building (older structure). Our other family stayed in a nicer updated area. Stay away from the Diamond building...Staff is super friendly though! I would go back if booking a different hotel building.

Back after 3 years away, and this is still one of our favorite places in the world. Our room and view in the Ali'i tower were awesome, and the resort is still as beautiful and exciting as ever.Since we have been here there are a few new stores on site, especially Reyn Spooner which is great to have here.Beach is still awesome, super pool still fun, Ali'i tower still beautiful. We had a great oceanfront room with amazing views of the beach and sunset. Sadly, we missed the fireworks...The last time we were here was during covid, and the resort is back to normal and busy, but not problematically so, at least not in the Ali'i which has fast elevators and a private front desk. The people who work here are fantastic. Everybody is really nice and welcoming, and we had great hospitality from the desk staff and the housekeepers. It was my daughter's birthday and one of her friends sent her a gift. The hotel found out about it, and when we picked up the package there was another one from the HHV, which was really above and beyond expectations. There is a reason we've stayed here 10 times and will keep returning. We have so many fun memories with the kids when they were small, and as adults. Thanks to everybody at HHV for another great trip!

I'm soooooo happy I came across the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. I highly recommend this resort. While planning my Hawaii trip, I was very interested in booking a hotel that was located on the beach. I didn't want to take a cab or walk a long distance. I literally wanted to step out of my hotel and boom, I'm on the beach. The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort gave me just that. Not only did it provide a direct walk on the beach, but it provided multiple pools, a lagoon, a bunch of activities, restaurants, shopping, etc.. It literally had it all! This resort is so huge and it includes multiple towers to choose from. I made sure to stay in the rainbow tower because it is the closest tower to the beach. Not only was I able to head straight to the beach, but the view of the beach from my room was breathtaking. The room itself was your average two-bedroom with a shower, TV, desk, and a bathroom equipped with the essentials. It also included a balcony with chairs to sit at to soak up the beauty of the ocean. Even though the room wasn't very glamorous, it didn't really matter because I was out of the room pretty much my whole trip. My only negative thing would be the bed. The bed was not comfortable at all. I had a hard time getting cozy and I kept waking up. Eep!

Hilton Hawaiian Village is massive...Having the current Ho'omau Hawai'i Market at the Coral Ballroom I was quite excited as I was out of town for quite some time and loved that I didn't miss out on this event.Located at the Coral Ballroom I instantly parked and as I waited for the elevator to go down there was quite a wait and I decided to go down the stairwell not thinking and thought that I'd find the location easily lol! Nope once you leave the area there are little signage of the ballrooms as there's so much going on everywhere...Coral Ballroom all four are located on the 6th floor of the parking garage...omg! Sure I could ask for direction though I was browsing at the same time I just didn't realize until I see some of the map and a couple of signs around the elevator of it's location...by then I took a great tour around the property hahaha!Lovely and massive as the classically known how amazing their ballrooms are it did feel grand entering the property once I knew exactly where it was.Thank you!

All in all, this was a nice place to stay. It's a lovely resort with beautiful views... IF you have the right room. There were some highs and lows for sure, so let's get to them. room: comfortable beds, plenty of space, great ocean view. well, at least if you have an oceanfront room, which we did. the room had a cute little balcony with a couple of chairs. we enjoyed sitting outside some nights to eat dinner on the balcony. important when booking to understand the difference between room types. partial ocean view means you can stand in some spot in the room or balcony and kind of see some ocean. oceanview isn't much different. oceanfront is where you want to be. that's going to be in the front building with the best views. beach: gorgeous beach in front of the resort. if you want great snorkeling though, there are better spots to venture off to. food: we ate at aoki's one night and it was fantastic. I have a whole review on that one. otherwise we really didn't eat at the hotel much. luau: it was fun and we enjoyed it. having said that, it's expensive (like omg level of expensive) and I was surprised it is held on a rooftop. I'm used to luau's near the beach... so this felt weird. service: this was the low point for us. check in was the worst part. I had made the reservation and added my (adult) daughter's name, as she was arriving before me and needed to be able to check in for us. normal stuff, right? but I even called the resort to make sure she wouldn't have any problems. I was assured all was good. the night before arrival, we go to check in on the app and see the room type has changed. we were switched from a king bed to 2 doubles. I call the hotel. I'm gruffly told this is an "upgrade"... weird upgrade if you ask me, but ok. so I go back on the app to complete check in and they had disabled it. grrr. so we have to wait until arrival. my daughter got there and went to check in and was told she was getting a different room than showed on the app. she asked about it and was given attitude. they also started grilling her about where I was and why wasn't I with her. the lady continued to be rude, so my daughter took the keys and left the desk. then they called me and said they had found a better room. not being there yet, I had no clue what was going on, so I called my daughter. she explained. i called back to the hotel and got another woman who was also less than friendly. she told me no other rooms were available. after a lot of nonsense, she finally put the other lady on the phone. she got everything straightened out. all ended up fine, but omg what a lot of nonsense to go through. moral of the story: it's a nice hotel, but only if you're oceanfront and can successfully avoid the front desk staff at all costs.

Stay away and save your money there are much better options. This is not a real 4 star hotel in the best case scenario it's 2 star.Low maintenance level,Everything is peeling and dirty. When we arrived they asked for an upgrade to a room with a sea view. we were "upgraded" to the Tapa building. What the lady at the reception did not mention is that the building is undergoing renovation at the entrance to the elevator and thus all week we had to enter the building through a construction site.On the right side of the balcony there was half a view of the ocian but on the left there was a view of windows that looked like they had never been cleaned with years of pigeon poop and dirty rags.In this Tapa building, there is a music performance every evening until after ten thirty at night with such a heavy noise that even after you close the balcony windows the music is very loud in the room and it is impossible to sleep. The cleanliness of the rooms is not really cleanliness, but only the change of towels. It was our mistake that we didn't pay attention to the the addition fees when we closed the hotel and had to pay another 400 $ resort fees. in addition if you want to check in earlier it will cost you another 75 dollars. If you want a romantic and quiet vacation in a clean and pleasant hotel, this is definitely not the place.

Had a wonderful time at this resort... was able to visit various pools, enjoyed some activities like lei making and hula dance class, tapa bar very entertaining with live music every night. Fireworks on Friday night was short 5mins but so worth watching. Walking distance to the beach, various restaurants and multiple shopping options... my only complaint would be the parking fee very expensive $65/day

We really wanted to love this place and Hilton has such a great presence all over the world, but this place missed the mark for us like many others in the reviews. First off, it is SUPER crowded. It's apparently the largest in the world and it shows. The check in process alone was a nightmare. I've never seen such long lines in my life. Luckily, check in for the ali'i tower is separate. Our room was on the top floor with great views though there is no balcony. The beach was very crowded and also very rocky. There are several pools but again they were all very crowded so you had to get that early to snag seats. The lagoon is nice though a bit underwhelming. Renting an umbrella is $100+ and the restaurants were all overpriced for the food. There are many shops and restaurants nearby luckily. The Waikiki Star luau was also not what you imagine a luau to be. It was technically outside but was on the roof of a convention center. It just was not the relaxing vacation we had hoped for unfortunately.

This is my second stay at this hotel. I love that it's so convenient and so much fun walking around. The hotel room was good. At anytime you can go downstairs and you can shop at various shops from high end to convenience stores, eat at local restaurants or walk to the beach.
