Purchased a boneless prime rib at less than half the price for bone in at Costco or Sam's. Meat was tender, juicy with a small amount of fat.Richard's Meat Market is my new #1.

Customer service was bad. We got there and immediately ordered short ribs and clams. I asked for the list they usually have out because we didn't bring enough cash for the crab legs so I could grab another meat. I was told that I should already know what I want to buy before I get there because "this is not a store" and "I'm wasting time". No one was in line behind me and the people next to me were asking questions. They were there before we arrived and we only took less than 1 minute to order what we wanted at the table. The whole encounter took 3 minutes.

My friend and I were looking for fresh ground chuck and fresh grass fed ground beef. You don't have to call ahead and place an order but I would recommend calling ahead to see if they have what you want that day. They didn't have the hamburger meat we wanted except in a 20 pound box. But they have a huge variety of seafood too so I picked up some beautiful frozen whole clams for chowder or seafood stew at am amazing price. Finding them the 1st time is a bit tricky in this industrial area. But the trip was worth it and I will make it again. Bring cash because that's the only thing they accept. And the parking lot is a challenge, but I was up for it! I know they have good product here because they deliver to all the local restaurants. That's a good sign! Even though they didn't have exactly what I was looking for this nice guy went in the back and took a look a couple of times, so good customer service.

Came here for some snow crab, clams, and mussels for a seafood boil I was having. They only take cash and there are no phone orders or reservations, only in-person first come, first serve basis. The parking is kind of tough here, but we were able to find some street parking nearby after some driving around. The customer service was really good. I told them I wanted a box of snow crab, and they brought out all their sizes and opened the cases so I could choose which one I wanted. I went with the 11lb box of Large crab legs for $255. The whole shell clams are $6 per 2lb bag and the whole shell mussels are $5 per 2lb bag. Clams were sandy but mussel were good and this will be my new go to spot for boxes of snow crab!

Richard's Meat Market is my go to when it comes to buying meat or seafood in bulk. I normally go for the lobster or crab around new years or special occasions. Most of the time, the prices are better than Costco or Sam's. You can call for info, but I prefer to go in person. It helps to know the cost of a case at other places to confirm. I've gone here for years and haven't received a bad batch. Their prices do fluctuate based on the market. Also, their product sources vary so you may want to peak at the label if you are picky about certain countries for seafood. Overall it's a great option when you need a bunch of seafood for an occasion.

If I could give this place a zero I would. The rib roast was boneless but made to look like it had 7 bones. Had ZERO marbeling except for the 1.5 fat cap. Zero spinalis..makes me think it was a mock cut..not tender at all. More like chuck. The New York steaks are definitely fake cuts. 8 oz portions that are so tough shoe leather could be more tender. Tried to Sous Vide them as well and still like chewing horse hide. Spend a few extra bucks and get your meat somewhere else...this place sells below choice meat...cheap but cheap quality...Stay Away

Richard is the nicest guy you will ever meet and his prices cannot be beat. I’ve shopped everywhere Costco, Sam’s Club, Chef Zone, hands down Richard’s beats them all by a mile in price. But be aware CASH ONLY keeps life simple that way. I fully recommend been going there for years.

Located in the main center of Lanai across of Dole park is the whole foods of Lanai. They have hand sanitizer before entering the market and workers all wearing face mask. They carry a lot of items from Costco but broken down to single items. They also have a fresh seafood counter which also sell their marinated meats. They also carry a wide variety of can goods, pasta, pastries, vegetables and also have a grow case with herbs inside. They also carry a wide variety of wines, beer, liquor, but didn't find any sake there. So if you are looking for a variety of items your chances are you will find it here.

We always enjoy coming here. The workers are knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. Good deals too. We get crab, scallops, and oxtail here. We've also gotten whole pigs.
