If you want to eat a cheap and delicious plate (lunch box) in Hawaii, this is the place! You can enjoy a delicious plate for $10-$15.Living in Hawaii is expensive and restaurant meals are expensive and tipping is required, so there are many locos (locals) who use this place.I wonder if the "daily plate" is a little cheaper?I had a chili dog and it was delicious.Parking: There is a street parking lot in front of the store. It's a relatively busy shop, but it fills up quickly, so be prepared to wait.

I should have checked the reviews before deciding to eat here. It doesn't help that majority of the recent reviews are written by people not even from here. That being said here were the problems:1. The worker filled the soda too much so some of it spilled on the lip of the plate, i guess that she didn't like it that i stood there and wiped it off the lip of the plate before it actually went into the plate. I don't care if you give me dirty looks.2. The chili wasn't hot it was warm (and even then it wasn't really that warm), plus the worker forgot to give me my crackers. At $6.50 you expect a lot more. So for that price it definitely is not worth it.3. The mac salad had a chemical taste to it. I don't know what they did but its not the same anymore. Terrible. In the end half of the plate went in the trash. Oh yeah and before anyone starts i went to the manager and told her about #1 and #2 because that is who i went to see to get my crackers. I guess ths place is more for the tourist and not long time locals that grew up eating here.

I ordered the breakfast special with bbq pork. The portion was smaller than expected, but the taste was excellent ?

Enjoy the local atmosphere. Prices are local and wallet-friendly, unlike downtown areas.

We had an amazing experience today there! Food was so good and homie. The lady that help us at the counter was super sweet and recommended us the best things on the menu and she didn’t missed!

The workers seemed angry and annoyed. The food is sold separately (buger $5 +fries $5+ drink) the food was plain and flavorless. Not worth the price or the rave in the reviews.

Wanted so badly for this to be good. Been told for years to go there but it was out of the way from the trolley stops and no where near anywhere we go when we have a car. Decided to do it this trip. After a long walk was very excited but although the prices are really good and you get a ton of food the food is only so so at best. Just very dry and very boring and the atmosphere was so so like the food. Walk was pretty a long the river. That was the best part.

We have to think about Waikiki's cost....Where can we eat reasonable price like here?Loco Moco is great!! ️I like everything here.Good cost performance. It's delicious no matter what you eat. There's a bus stop nearby, so it's worth paying for the bus from a hotel around Waikiki. Considering Waikiki's extremely high prices, this is the best. The macaroni on the loco moco plate is delicious. It's busy on Saturdays and Sundays, but I was able to order without waiting at all on weekdays. I don't think it will be a problem even if you don't understand English. However, you will be asked how well-done the fried eggs are, so as long as you can answer that and tell me your name, you'll be fine.

I don't know what is the hype about that place, the building looking cool but the portions are small, quite expensive and you have to seat on a banch like you are in high school.

Great place to have authentic Hawaiian food! Local favorites and great prices. You can share a meal for sure! Very large portions! I had the loco moco and that’s always a favorite! A must try for anyone visiting!

I think it tastes better than Egg n Thing. It's not salty either.

Rainbow drive in is a great spot for a meal thanks to fantastic prices are fast service. You park and walk up to one of the three counters to order. My food was ready in less than five minutes which was concerningly fast yet tastes great! The mix plate should be everybody's first dish here thanks to the range of flavors. While the rice was boring, everything else was great! Expect to pay about $15 for a meal here unless you want a burger which costs about half that.Vegetarian options: There isn't much for vegetarians unless you want breakfast or are willing to eat fish.

This feels like local gourmet food ♡♡I went there around 06:50, just as it was about to open, and there was a long line! !The lane I lined up in didn't have Japanese support, but I managed to get what I wanted to order lol.The lady clerk seemed to be able to speak Japanese well, but the young loco girl couldn't understand Japanese, so she did her best in broken English! ! lol
