I’ve stayed at Prince Waikiki twice. The first time was a couple trip and because I had such a wonderful experience the second time I went back with my family. The views of the harbor and infinity pool are amazing. Even though the hotel rates are pricy but the service is top tier. I always feel that the staff takes their time to accommodate you and it makes a big difference. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are a bonus. I love the luxury touch and everything is very clean and updated. It’s definitely a 5 out of 5 in my book and I highly recommend.

I stayed for 7 nights and only ate by the pool, but the tuna poke was very delicious?
I felt the high level of food at the hotel ?

Modern well appointed... The only complaint is the tiny Jacuzzi which is always crowded and lack of saunas

The morning service at the hotel I stayed at was not so good, so I decided to go a little further. It was buffet style and there was so much variety that my stomach swelled (lol)

Avoid room #1204 or #1203. It is a connecting room. First 2 nights I was lucky to have next room neighbors who were nice enough to be quiet for each other but the last night (yesterday) I was able to hear their every conversations, alarming sounds, music and laughing. Thank God it was my last night! I came for having relaxed good time but it was one of the horrible experience ever at the hotels. And how the person gave the connecting room to a single traveler.
Rooms: Never recommend the connecting rooms. It will ruin your vacation days if you meet the loud neighbors.

Look out for a deceptive booking practice that this property is performing. They offer a great price for a room but it is only mentioned on a terms and conditions page or on your confirmation letter after booking that the price is only valid if you are a Hawaii resident. If you are not a resident you will be charged best availability rate. If this isn’t a bait and switch it is a slimy grab to catch people off guard until you are at the property and have nowhere else to go.

Words can not describe this hotel! It is worth the expense of ALL oceanfront views without the “touristy” feel. So you get Waikiki but have the ability to be away from the crowded parts.
Close to the world famous Ala Moana Center it is an ideal get away. The 100 Sails restaurant was amazing. Jerome was an amazing server! The 5th floor pool bar and entertainment is top notch.
Caution! You CAN’T stay here less than 5 days and 4 nights. Don’t punish yourself lol
Rooms: Clean and functional.
Walkability: Definitely able to be “away from the tourists “ and still be a tourist

Great location and views. The rooms were not spotless but cleaned well enough. The tv system was down while we were there and the staff didn’t really seem to care. We got room service and it was delish!

What a perfect place to stay, quiet evenings over looking the harbor/ocean. Staff is so friendly. Check-in/check-out super easy.
Hands down the pool has amazing sunset views at night. The coffee bar is yummy, and the store is really helpful for all things you may need. We had a pleasant stay! The coziest pillows!
We ended up checking out to go home, and our flight got canceled and they took us right back and had tooth brush kits ready for us.

It's great, but pricey! Not very pleased at the parking fees. Nice view of the water and boats.

As our family love Ala Moana mall, Don Quixote, and preferred a peaceful place, we stayed at Prince Waikiki for 8 nights during this summer vacation. We usually stayed at Hilton Waikiki Village but would like to newly remodeled, clean room with a quiet place and the Prince was an ideal location.
Our room was on the 28th floor and had a fantastic view that can compensate for the only drawback - no balcony. It felt like the walls were concrete and it provides good noise protection. However, the ceiling and floor were not as good as the sidewall's noise protection as we heard lots of rumbling noise from the above unit. (There might be a kid who loves jumping and running)
Staffs were very friendly and the overall quality (including a large size window, a huge but silent sunshade) was great. The reason I gave 4 stars are
1. The room was not ready when we checked in so we had to go down to the front desk and changed the room. It was not a big deal but I wished they could do better than what we experienced.
2. Valet parking fees were imposed every day after I used it even though we used valet for just one day. It could adjust without a problem but we might not notice it before we see the bill carefully. So, when you checked out, it would be good to read all the details of the bill BEFORE you leave the place to make everything simple. The front desk kindly resolved the issue anyway :)
3. Restaurants were not that valuable with the price ($34/person). We used 100 Sails restaurant for the breakfast, but the overall buffet menu was just... average quality. We paid more than $100 for breakfast but having breakfast at Starbucks with 50 bucks could be better than that restaurant. I, personally, would use it if it is somewhere around $20 ~ $25, but not $34.
4. Lastly, sometimes, one of the elevators was not working properly when we stayed. The door was closed but not moved so people had to get off the elevator. We had this experience 2 times. The funny thing was that some people know how to deal with that issue - just open the door and close it again then the elevator moved again. However, the hotel should take care of this as it is related to safety. Finally, the refrigerator was not cold enough.
It seems like there were too many cons while I was writing but except for these, Prince Waikiki was the great place to stay if you like clean and fairly remodeled rooms, and if you love shopping at Ala Moana (Waikiki is also not far from here. It's just only 15 minutes walk from the hotel). However, If you love a crowded party-like atmosphere, this may not be the perfect place. Anyway, this might be a great value hotel in Waikiki. My final thought would be 7 ~ 8 out of 10.(updated June 22nd, 2024)
