“Cute little shop. I was on vacation for 10 days and wanted to support local pet stores because I do own a pet care business myself. I wanted to buy souvenirs and treats for my clients, and this was one of the two shops I made a trip to. I bought a bandana, two bags of treats, a leash, and a hat for just under $120. Yikes.”

“Top notch customer service. We visited Calvin & Susie to buy a Hawaiian shirt for our dog and a dress for a friend's dog. We struggled to figure out which sizes the dogs needed as both are medium-large dogs and fall in between sizes. The sales agent took around 15-20 minutes to help us find the right clothing sizes for the dogs. She even took down several dog mannequins and dressed them in different sized clothing to help us figure out which ones worked best. By going above and beyond, she exhibited a high level of care and professionalism. I highly recommend visiting Calvin & Susie to grab a great souvenir for your furry friend.”

“This place is great, it’s on the 3 floor so you have to take an elevator. The lady that works there is so sweet and makes cat toys by hand. My kitty loves the donut I got her.”

“Shopping for pet supplies in Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawaii... My friend is taking care of her daughter's cat... but still wants to buy treats for the cat... even though it's not her cat! LOL! She's very nice... Since we were at City Square on Dillingham Boulevard, I thought we should just go inside the shop. We already had free parking... may as well look, right? I had never been inside Kalihi Pet Center... even though there are four dogs at my mom's house. I just buy treats and toys at Ross. If I needed something specific, I would come here because: 1. the staff are helpful and friendly 2. the environment is organized and clean 3. there are many merchandise choices 4. City Square is conveniently located Also - if you're looking for a pet, I did see puppies, birds of various types, and all kinds of fish! I didn't see any bunnies, but maybe that's a good thing! P.S. my friend did find treats for her daughter's cat!”

“Ever since they had a pop up at the dog convention, we've been getting our doggy treats from here. We love that they have their own shop and that's it's very accessible.I placed a pick up order last night and it was ready for pick up around 1pm today (the next day). We went to pick up my order and I decided to buy one more treat since one was out from my original order. We were checking out the furikake seasoning but we decided not to get it. But after checking out, I believe she was the owner, she gave us a FREE sample of the furikake. It was about half the container or a little bit more and I was so surprised! She was so nice! I wish I got her name. But if you are looking for dog treats, this is the perfect spot!100/10!”

“Adorable little pop up with homemade Hawaiian dog treats. They're at the Ohana Hale on weekends and around the island throughout the week. Our pup is older with less than perfect teeth, so we were unsure if she could eat these as most treats are too hard for her. We bought a box ($8) as these treats are soft and she loves them! We have to break them in half for her, but that just means they last twice as long! Side note: my husband tried a sample lol and said they'd be great with tea. Got to love an all natural treat for your pup that is safe for you to eat, too!”

“I remember selling lemonade and kool-aid to the carpenters that were working for my dad. We lived in one of the houses for a few years I think. That was probably my favorite house out of them all growing up. My dad was doing pretty good for the times then, he maintained a high standard for his material things. He liked style and quality. I'm amazed that the houses go so high as 3.5 million. Wow , I did this review a while ago and I don't think this is for pet smart. it has nothing to do with pets or pet smart store. And I do go there all the time for my cat and fish and one granddaughter that is a d o g . It's way cheaper than the super markets and we all like it.”

“I have only brought my animals here for spaying/neutering, since they were the most affordable. Older ladies in the front are nice, just very busy. Post-procedure they let me know of any infections my pets had, and gave me antibiotics, free of charge. Even had the doctor call to update me on any complications with surgery, which was nice. I was very hesitant to leave my pets overnight, but we are instructed to do so. Just worried they are away from home and who knows the conditions they are kept in, since their establishment looks very old, dated and cluttered. I will say this, their employee Lee/Leigh(spelling) is obnoxious. Rudely put me on hold, like I was an inconvenience. And I've brought over 5 of my babies to them, spending between $350-$500 per pet. I was very nice, patient and accommodating. She has the worst attitude in customer service. 0/10 for Lee. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but nonetheless, no excuse when choosing to work in customer service. So just beware of her horrendous attitude.”

“I came here today and was offered a hello with a smile right away. The lady made us feel so welcome and offered treats to my dog. She also said happy birthday to him when she found out it was his birthday. I got him some amazing dog treats here and sign up for the points to receive discounts. My dog loves the treats so far! Thank you!”

“Kathy is super sweet and helpful!! Been wanting to stop by here for a while and finally did. Was hoping they carried rabbit for my allergy-prone senior girl, but they have venison so trying that out instead. ???? Just got home and prepping it for her as I type. If it works out, I will be back again and again ? Mahalo nui loa, Kathy!!(pictured: added some of the venison to her hydrolized protein kibble and some dr. harvey’s raw vibrance veggie mix. she sought out all the venison and still polished her bowl. currently staring at her bowl wondering if more will magically appear. ?)”

“I think the people in the store are amazing, they seem to be so busy trying to provide great customer service and also seem to be preoccupied with internet orders. When they are not working with them and servicing customers in the store they are amazing. Kudos to Andrew and the evening staff”

“I like their fish selection. I bought a little black karasu from them about 2 years ago. She was just a few inches long, but she's now about 15 inches and ready to go into the big pond. After moving all my koi to a bigger pond, I fell in love with ranchu goldfish. Just got my first 2 here and they are looking happy in my empty koi grow out tub. Will come back often to check their ranchu stock.”

“During an off-leash encounter, my Shih Tzu was unfortunately bitten in the face by another dog. This incident happened rapidly, within a matter of seconds. In response, I immediately took my pet to the nearby Petco veterinary clinic in Hawaii Kai. The veterinarians there were quite friendly and provided prompt attention. Following their initial examination, they referred us to an emergency veterinary service due to the severity of his injuries, which included a scratched cornea and a punctured wound near the neck and windpipe.”
