I love this place. Makes me want to quit my career and become a yoga teacher, here. The owners are the most down to earth and sincerely good people, and the vibes are so positive, and fresh! There is not a thing I would change about this place, except open one on my island!

I went to this studio before COVID, and they were mediocre but close to my house and better than YouTube. Over a year later, they refuse to refund the passes that were bought in 2019. I reported them to the BBB, and they submitted a fraudulent "receipt" trying to prove I signed up for non-refundable passes. My name, card number, and date of sale were all wrong. They can't even put effort into cheating the system. WARNING! Avoid this completely unethical and below average studio before they rip you off too.

This is not your cookie-cutter type of yoga studio. There is a wide variety of classes and instructors to suit every need and skill level. You got your vinyasa flow but also other types that you might not be used to such as yoga nidra (which I LOVE), yin yoga (restorative), prenatal, ashtanga, kundalini, and more. The owner, Mary, really gives her instructors the freedom to teach what touches their hearts because you never know who will connect with that. There are a lot of expressions of yoga and this is your opportunity to try out different ones. This studio has two rooms (non-heated). They are clean, bright, and have good energy to them. You can reserve your spot online or you can check-in/pay at the front desk (given there is available space). There is a water dispenser with cold and hot water, so you can bring a teabag and make... well, tea haha. Props available include blankets, bolsters, blocks, and straps. I did my 200-hour yoga teacher training here. Mary and all the instructors are wonderful and very passionate about what they do. Mary is particularly passionate about yoga philosophy and if you are interested in that, I would recommend this studio to do your training. Parking is limited to a shared lot of about 7ish spaces, but there is also street parking. As for any yoga class, please arrive 10-15 minutes early so you can set-up and get in the right mindset (and so you don't bother your fellow classmates). The studio is conveniently located on Monsarrat across from Da Cove Health Bar and Cafe, so head there afterwards with a buddy and treat yo-self to an acai bowl :)

Open Space has a great vibe, nice open studio with safe distancing (bring your own props), and I have experienced many therapeutic benefits with instructor Kara’s classes- she is very attentive and well schooled in spine and hip health and troubles.

I enrolled in the teacher's training and I feel the woman who runs this studio should have been more ethical in terms of consumer rights. There's a lot of unsaid communication which I think should have been more transparent ( e.g., requesting a long written Q&A following the training, review of the training ( if wanted to do so), and possibility of more time beyond the contact hours, etc). Following this experience I am more critical of who and how I wish to share my spiritual journey because she out stepped a lot of boundaries. In addition, $3,000.00 is a lot of money to have such a taxing experience. But there were other instructors there who made the experience worthwhile.

Pretty blown away by how knowledgeable the instructor, Ruby, was in the vinyasa flow class this morning. She combines many opening techniques with a very pointed attention on the breath. It’s not as physically demanding as other vinyasa classes, so take that as a positive or negative depending on your perspective. She employed some chanting and channeled great energy into the practice.

I was introduced to Open Space and practiced at the Diamond Head studio. My experiences there were wonderful and transformative. And now that I live in Mokuleia I am grateful for reconnecting with Open Space.

I like this yoga studio! I've been to this studio for four years now. There's so many different classes and my favorite is vinyasa and candle light yoga. When I want to relax myself , I do candlelight yoga at 7pm so I can have good night sleep.

A view of the sky. The breeze and open windows. After 2 years at Core Power I wanted to try something different. Open Space on Monsarrat near Diamond Head seemed the perfect, low key, neighborhood place. Highly recommended by a couple of yogi friends..... Definitely a much more low key vibe. Less of a work out and more of a spiritual journey combined with relaxation and stress relief. I tried to take every class I could--yoga nidra/guided meditation. We walked through fields of light together while lying in darkness. The guy lying next to me was blissfully sleeping, he was so relaxed. Great stress relieving class. There was hathha and vinyasa flow classes--I enjoyed those. Sometimes accompanied by the organ sounds of a harmonium, sometimes by music and sometimes without. At the end of class, we usually took time to meditate and relax using blankets, bolsters and blocks. Ikaika was my fave teacher-consistent movement combined with relaxation. At just $49 to try unlimited for a month, it was so easy and inexpensive. Everyone was super chill and friendly. In the end I decided it wasn't for me though. I like more classes so I can go late or early or in between, and I only liked the Diamond Head studio. I never tried their Chinatown or North Shore Locations. I also like to get "whipped" and sweat when I do yoga! They were just too nice here lol. Free parking out front or on the street.

Absolutely love the vibe here. It is my favorite yoga spot to center myself and be around people who share similar energy. Everyone is always friendly, teachers are extremely diverse and create in their practice. The variety of classes they offer are by far the most diverse in Hawaii (Yin, Kundalini, Nidra, Prenatal, Vinyasa, etc). I wish they offered more classes throughout the day especially in the evenings after work during the week.

The location on Smith Street in Chinatown is niiiiice! Hardwood floors, lots of windows and natural light, and it's clean and tidy. Great space for a yoga sesh. I wish I remembered to take pics during my last visit.

I love this studio! The teachers are awesome. They have so much experience and knowledge. I can adjust my alignment just by listening to their instructions and guidance. I have found that at other places, it's like they are reading out of a book and not personalized like it is at Open Space. Their prices are very affordable and no contract required. I love introducing this studio to my friends as they have a great new students special of $39 for 2 weeks of unlimited yoga. You can try every teacher till you find the one style that you like best.

Great teachers that are not about "looking good" or performing, variety of classes to choose from to fit needs, responsive/listen to client needs/requests and sincere owner
