Th training we got from Crystal was really helpful. She kept us updated on Coco’s training everyday with pictures and videos. She answered (continues to) answer all our questions. Coco knows how to sit, lay down, and heel. She is not so nervous around people. We can take walks with Coco without much struggle. I would definitely recommend Crystal and Off the Leash Dog training .

I am so happy with the training my Pono and I received from Crystal at K9 Off Leash Training. Pono is 125 lbs of big dog and I’m an old lady. My husband primarily cares for Pono but I have to occasionally walk him. I went to training desperate for help and was skeptical that Pono could be trained since he was already 3 years old. Crystal was very patient and explained everything to me step by step over the few months of training we received. Even my husband was impressed with the results. I couldn’t believe when we were at one of the last lessons where we went walking through Lowe’s! Crystal even guided Pono to stand on one of the carts and I was able to push him around the store for a little bit. So amazing and transformational! There’s a lot more to tell about our experiences but I’ll leave it at that. I’ll end by saying don’t be afraid of the stim collar. It’s simply a tool to get your dog’s attention. I rarely, if ever, have to use it at all at this point and it’s only for safety such as if Pono is about to run into the street, which he doesn’t do anymore. So if you are in search of an excellent training facility, I highly recommend you check out K9 Off Leash. It’s worth every cent.

This training program has made an incredible difference for my dog. She just turned one, and prior to training she was quite uncertain and would bark at anything new she saw. Now she is confident and loves visiting new places and meeting new people with no more nervous barking! I can take her everywhere with me now which has meant a lot more fun for her and for me. Thank you Crystal!

I’m SO grateful to Loren Kearney at OLK9 for all the work he’s put into our 4 year old female GSD. Before her three week board & train program, our German Shepherd was … well.. a not so well behaved German Shepherd..which for her breed, is not a great position to be in. She was very reactive to strangers, dogs, and prey driven with cats and birds. I couldn’t figure out why she was so reactive as I’d worked to expose her since she was a pup and was such a loving family dog. She even loved her daycare and her dog buddies but outside of home and daycare, she was unmanageable. I would have to crate her so that I could go on my evening walks and was so envious of all the dog walkers in the neighborhood. She was so anxious and full of energy and all I wanted to do was to be able to work with her.
Enter Loren with OLK9. Our first evaluation, we walked into the training room and she (Berlin) was immediately comfortable with him.. which was already remarkable. She needed .. I’d say wanted this training program.
Everyday Loren worked with Berlin on her three week urban board & train, I would get videos of all the places she was going and how well her training was. I was shocked! I was relieved.
The second evening I had her back with us post training, it was go-time. Equipped with all my treats and gear, Berlin and I went on our first evening walk. It was epic! We walked past dogs of all sizes, people, loud noises, even birds flying past us and she was so un-phased.
Every evening, we both look forward to exploring new streets and longer walks. Berlin is so much happier and I am no longer guilt ridden. We are now apart of the neighborhood ‘dog walkers’!! I can’t wait to see what we can do next! Perhaps hiking will be our next adventure?

We enrolled our 3-year old, 60+ lb. Labradoodle, Cooper, in a 3-week board & train session. We were desperate to find someone to help train our lovable and energetic but unruly canine. My husband & are “senior” parents to Cooper. Also, relative to our size, Cooper is a “big boy”, and he has easily over-powered us. We also have little grandchildren and Cooper is not kid-friendly. Thank goodness for Off Leash K9 Hawaii! We can’t say enough good things about the amazing training that Cooper received from “Uncle” Loren Kearney! Daily videos were sent to us keeping updated on his training. These videos now also serve as easy instructional review of all the basic but essential commands Cooper learned that I can easily reference. We were so impressed with where Loren would take Cooper for training each day - to beach parks, shopping malls, open markets, strolls in Waikiki during the day & also at night, food courts and a sit & listen session at Center Stage for a musical performance! Previous to his training we wouldn’t dare to take Cooper to any busy public place. At the end of the 3 weeks after Cooper had “graduated”, and included with the training, we received 2.5 hours of instructions on the use of the e-collar and how to properly use it. However, what truly has me impressed has been the follow-up contact with Loren post-training! Within a day or two, I realize I needed clarification on some of the training instructions. Uncannily, before I reached out to him for post-training tips, Loren contacted me to ask how we were doing! We have also met with Loren for a follow-up training session! Loren truly has impressed us with his genuine concern for us and Cooper and his continuing support and encouragement. He has emphasized to us that he is committed to help us fine-tune our training with Cooper! Thank you, Loren! We are truly grateful!

My wife and I entrusted our puppy Murphy to Off Leash K9 for training. Murphy is a lovable seven month old bernadoodle, but he has a TON of energy and it was hard to keep him focused. This is to be expected, but we still wanted him well trained.
OLK9 trainer Crystal was Murphy's trainer. After the three week program, Murphy is still an energetic puppy, but my goodness he is well trained. He stays at a heel off leash flawlessly. We put him on a sit or at a down and he is so good staying in place. His manners when we eat are fantastic. His recall is excellent, which is so comforting.
During the training, Crystal kept us up on his progress and sent us pictures and video daily. Our time spent with Crystal when we picked our pup was great! She spent hours with us showing us everything he could do, training us on how to keep him on track and answering all of our questions.
We are so happy with Crystal and OLK9 Hawaii. We highly recommend this company and hope that if you want your dog highly trained by professionals, you to will use them.

It’s been ages since I’ve had a puppy . I forgot how mental and full of energy they are. I left my kid with Loren for two weeks and came back to find a totally well behaved pup! It was the best thing ever. Loren even took the time out to train me . This is such a great investment . Everyone should book and request Loren.

My 6 month old Doberman puppy completed the 2 week board and train session with Off Leash K9 trainer Nicole. I am very happy with the results, I loved the everyday updates on training progress, photos/videos of new training sites and training with distractions. Besides the 2 hour hand over training for the owner, the best benefit to trining your dog with OLK9 is the lifetime access to your trainer for refresher training. Nicole is the nicest person you’ll ever meet and I know Mia loved her too!

Nicole was absolutely amazing with my boy Sirius. In the 3 weeks he was with her he learned so much! She was incredibly helpful and willing to answer any questions we had along the way. She sent daily updates with pictures and video snippets that we looked forward to seeing every evening. I can’t say enough good things or recommend her highly enough!

The results that Crystal achieved with Enzo were impressive. After two weeks he’s been able to listen and respond to commands immediately. Follow-up training for the family was vert thorough and necessary for all of us that attended . Highly recommend her services and OLK9 Hawaii. Mahalo Crystal for all the love, attention and training.

We sent our 5 month old puppy through the 2 week board and train with Crystal and LOVED IT! We were decent at teaching him basic commands but when it came to the difficult stuff like off leach training, heeling, distracted recalls, and at home food manners…we were lost. I can’t recommend the board and train more. It solved nearly all of this!We were nervous about sending him off for so long, but Crystal was so responsive and would send us video+photo updates on all his adventures! Now that the training is done we have full confidence in his off-leash abilities, can finally hang out or walk along the beach with more peace of mind, and have a dog willing to listen!

What an amazing experience my 8mo old golden doodle, Olive and I had with our trainer Nicole from Off Leash K-9!!! Olive is a 44 lb. rambunctious doodle who acts crazy and out of control jumping/pushing and mouthing and pulling like crazy on the leash before this training. My elderly Mom lives with us and she actually accidentally tripped Mom giving her a knee injury that required surgery. I was desperate to get her behavior under control before she injured my Mom again.We signed up for the 2 week board and train and I picked up Olive this morning. Nicole worked with Olive and I for 2.5 hrs before we were free to go (mostly I needed the training today!) on all the commands Olive learned while she was with Nicole. This training program utilizes a training e-collar to teach commands. I was so hesitant and nervous to sign up for the training because of this because I had heard about e-collars. BUT…it was not at all what I thought an e-collar would be. It is NOT a shock collar. It IS like a Tens unit I use on myself every night for my knees. Before the board and train, I had Nicole use the collar stimulator on me and I was amazed that the stimuli really did feel like a Tens unit. I was actually surprised that it could elicit the desired response with training. But after seeing all Olive had learned I am just amazed and so happy that we signed up for this program. Nicole has been the most awesome trainer. She is so loving with Olive and reassuring to me. She gained our trust right off the bat at the preliminary training 2 weeks before boarding.Olive and I have a lot of work to do reinforcing what we learned from Nicole. With patience and consistency I am determined to help Olive to become a well mannered puppy…I sincerely feel like this program has set us up for a wonderful life together.I can’t recommend OLK9 and Nicole enough. I am so happy we got the referral from Mom’s orthopedic surgeon! You won’t be sorry if you take the plunge and trust in this program and their trainers…especially if you get (or request) Nicole!Review from a happy doodle Mom and Olive ❤️

Our puppy Logan attended the three week board and train with Nicole and although we missed him - he came back to us as a perfect gentleman! Nicole listened to all of our concerns and explained how she would address each of them. She sent pictures, videos and an explanation of what Logan was working on each day so we knew exactly what he was up to and how he was progressing. It was clear that he was having fun and was learning a lot! We were a little afraid that the training would take some of his goofy personality away - but he is just as goofy without getting in trouble all day! Five stars just isn’t enough for the training and for Nicole. The results that we are now enjoying would not be possible without all of the love and dedication that she gave to our little boy!

We went to off-leash for individual classes and loved them! Made a huge difference and allowed us to learn ways to train and correct Oden.But wanted to do more with our GSD and decided to try 3 week board and train. Crystal made it an amazing experience! With daily pics and updates we had no stress or worries. After we picked up Oden he was excited and executed commands flawlessly! He was sad to leave Crystal, but no hard feelings! He clearly enjoyed her and and can't wait to keep learning and be able to go public with no stress of Odens behavior.

Our experience with Off Leash K9 Hawaii has been great. Our puppy Bingo did a 3 week board & train with Loren. We got a updates from Loren every day. Every night, our family was always really excited to watch a new video of Bingo’s progress. At the end of his training, Bingo was definitely a lot more confident and obedient. Prior to the 3 week board and train, we also had lessons with Loren. We highly recommend doing the lessons. Not only did Bingo learn basic commands, we learned a lot ourselves about how to work with our dog (how to posture ourselves, what kind of ‘energy’ emit, or even how to communicate better on walks, for example, when you change directions or speed). Because of his training, Bingo’s quality of life is greatly improved. He is happier and we feel a lot better about managing any behaviors in different environments.We are very grateful for everything we learned and all the help we received from Off Leash K9 and especially from Loren.
