They are fast to put my tires on! But I highly recommend calling ahead of time to make sure that you have the right price, and that they have your tire in stock. They take you same day and/or walk-in. They are cash only. So better get the cash ahead of time because the ATM that they have at their location sometimes runs out of cash. The service is great, they are always helpful and kind. I think it's because no one likes fixing a popped tire and it's an "inconvenience " so they are empathetic to us. I give them props for dealing with any "not so nice" characters. I prefer recommending them to ALL my family and friends because of their great price and the fact that they are super quick to get you in and out, and back on the road.

Mike is a liar,a cheat and a fraud....he had his mechanic work on my jeep and supposedly fixed a wiring problem....340.00....it ran until we got it home and parked it and it wouldn't start again...since then Mike said he'll send a tow to come get it,he never did after i asked him would there be another charge for him fixing the same problem....he never answered....then he wouldn't take my calls or answer my texts...when I came to the shop he saw me and run inside the office...when he saw I wasn't going anywhere he came out and had me write down my address and number and he would personally come start the jeep....several hours later I'm still waiting and he's back to ignoring my calls and texts....will be filing a small claims suit against him on monday....DO NOT TRUST OR BELIEVE THIS FRAUD.....HES A LIAR,A THEIF,AND A CHEAT, AND THE DEVIL....he just text me saying his lawyer is Michael Green and that I'm on HIS island so make my move bc I'm going to lose in court and that he don't jump for nobody and my jeep was a piece of shit...but he took my money and had his guy work on it....ended up blocking his number bc of his threats....will be filing a claim against him monday in court.....this is why he refuses to take credit cards....he knows the card company will protect their customers if the seller won't do right....he only wants to do cash

Amazing shop!!! Husband saw my tire was flat, called around. Mike knew exactly what he had in stock. Told me to come by anytime and would only take 15/20 minutes. His prices beat the other shops (including warehouses) by half. The crew is on it and we were in and out in no time. The workers were very friendly. I would highly recommend them. We will get all of our tires from this shop. Mahalo guys!

Tried calling numerous times, no answer. When someone answered, I ask to get a quote on tires I needed if in stocks but male individual gave me an attitude on the phone. If you don't like your job then find something else, just saying. Poor customer service.

Came here to purchase a new set of tires on a budget for my vehicle... Spoke with Mike, and he assured me the prices were for "balance and mounting"... Arrived at the shop, and watched the men closely as they removed and installed the new tires. Seen some new scratches on my matte rims... Not good. Then I see them Mount the wheels back on my vehicle... without balancing... I don't even see a balancing machine in the shop... Long story short... Tires were decently priced, not happy with the free scratches that were provided with the new wheels... No balancing done... Probably wouldn't come back here unless it's an emergency.

Been there 3 times. First 2 experiences were okay. Needed tires for safety check and it was done while waiting. There was a guy running the shop, not Mike. Don't know his name but he was easy to deal with. Paid what was quoted, no hidden fee. 3rd visit. Went on a Sunday. Called first, got price quote and had 2 available used tires.. Wrote size on a post it notepad and showed it to them. Mike was on the phone and escorted workers across the street. Brought tires and I noticed wrong size. Worker said I had good eye. Got 2 more. Wrong size again. Finally got the right size. But it's $10 more than quoted price. Whatever, I need them. I told him I'll dispose the tires. Worker told Mike. When I was handed invoice that Mike wrote, had a disposal fee. Had them remove it off. See Mike on the CHAMP SHOW on TV. Full of Aloha on TV. Not so much in real life. Workers accommodating and respectful. And they didn't balance the tires. All 3 visits. Check if it's the right size. Don't get charged the disposal fee if you're going to do it yourself. Good business concept, just need to stick to your word. You'll be a lot more successful.

Is the area a little sketch? Sure.Is parking a hassle? Absolutely. Are the guys there friendly? Kind of. But respectful -- yes.HOWEVER -- I have nothing but great things to say about Mike's Tire Shop.Mike and his boys have always have my back. I have been there a handful of times now (like 10). Usually without an appointment and with multiple cars. Mike and his team are always willing and able to assist me with a tire change or whatever I need. They are honest and helpful. More over -- their prices are fantastic. Are they the cheapest around? Well -- they used to be. Are they still, no. BUT, they are reliable and there when you need them. Mikes New Tires have a 1 year warranty. Be sure to ask them the details of what that covers.Mikes Tire Shop is located in Kalihi on a very slim road, one-way, road. They sell new and used tires. Call about their specials because they run specials often. Prices are great and they will have you in and out QUICK. On New tires, they probably have the better pricing. On used tires, they are competitive, but you may find cheaper elsewhere. However, I trust the tires from Mikes Tires and I am okay with paying a little extra for the peace of mind.***NOTE: They are cash only. But they have their own ATM on site. Just keep that in mind for those of you that may not have immediate cash flow on hand***Cars I have taken to Mikes with zero issues:2020 Camaro2018 Mazda 3 (Today) -- Taking advantage of the new tire sale.2013 FRS2013 Soul2013 Rio2009 LancerI absolutely recommend Mike and his business to people, especially when they need quick service. I will continue to recommend him. Thanks Mike :)

KALIHI....is showing how great they are with amazing business that take care of our community. Anyone who needs tires or anything done with their vehicle definitely give Mike's Tire Shop a call. After experiencing heavy vibration in my car when driving Servco Toyota told me that all my tires were in need of a massive replacement. They were offering a sale of $675 for 3 tires and you get the fourth one free. I was already stressing out because it was just one thing after another with my vehicle. I remember coming to Mike's Tire Shop years ago so I told myself it wouldn't hurt to call. From the first hello Mike was already welcoming and was ready to take care. His words, "No worries we got the tires! Tell me when you can come in we take care you." I went the next morning and it wasn't Mike, but the guy there filled with his Big Island accent was definitely ready to take care. It took only 25 minutes to change all 4 tires and they disposed of my old tires. I definitely recommend them.

It's never fun to have tire problems, but Mike's will sort you out very quickly. The two guys working on the morning I came in nicely warned me that there was a wait since there was another person in front of me. One of the workers replaced my tire while the other worked on the car in front of me, so I was only there for about ten minutes. My other tires had 5,000 miles on them, so Mike's sold me a gently used tire with about the same amount of tread as the other 3 for $110. I feel like other places would have tried to run up the bill, but they were super thoughtful and honest. I will definitely be back the next time Hawaii roads shred my tires!

HOLY GRAIL FOR ME! Story time: This Saturday my brother came up to me and said that my safety check had expired and my goodness, I TOTALLY FORGOT ALL ABOUT IT! Safety had expired two months ago, in February-- . So I had rushed to the nearest safety inspection close to I was after work and didn't pass because my front 2 tires were worn out BOO!!!!! *thumbs down* I was honestly sad because for just two tires alone already was $600 to every auto shop I called. I actually went to The Tire Shop too but they said unfortunately didn't carry the size of my tires. It was all getting irritating for me. Luckily my boyfriend suggested to go to Mikes, I was like uh I have never heard of that place ever. He said that his co-workers go to this shop a lot? So I told him why not try? So off we went and I kid you not, the whole street was so tight and it looked very unpromising! So then we walked up and this energetic guy came up to us and gave such an awesome deal! $241 for two NEW tires! He did it so fast and I was a happy camper for sure BUT make sure to bring cash. If you don't don't worry, there's an ATM inside the shop but I honestly would hate to pay the extra $3.75 fee lol. In the end, I passed safety with new front tires, but adulting still sucks... ugh.

A friend recommended this shop so I came here. I got the lightly used tires. After I got the tires I noticed one of the "lightly used" tires was cracked. After noticing that I was driving on the highway and when I got to 60mph my car started shaking and this hadn't happened before the tire replacements. So I came back to the shop to get it fixed and I waited 2 hours for them to fix it. Sitting in the sun wasting half my day wasn't worth the money that I saved by coming here. Next time I'm just gunna go to a reputable shop and get new tires. Unless you have a long time to wait and want to save $80 then don't come here.
