I am not one to write a review but my experience at Mac with G was fricken mind blowing. I could not believe the finish. Talk about a master at his craft! Made me feel so welcomed. Explained everything in a way that I understand. Did not in any way make me feel obligated to buy like other places although he made me look so great I wanted to buy it all. Makeup lasted all night. Got tons of compliments. Made an appointment ahead of time. When I arrived he started right away. Plan on going back asap. Check it out you won’t be disappointed

I had planned on waiting until my order arrived to write this review but I am so pleased with the customer service that I will do it now. I just want to say Thank You to Lea for the outstanding customer service and product knowledge. She explained in great detail about products I was curious about and also recommended some that were more up my alley based on the color and undertones I was trying to explain (over the phone I might add) I will for sure be reaching out again. Thank you again Lea!

My family and I were in Oahu recently over spring break and we thought it would be nice to get family pictures done while we were in Hawaii. As soon as i walked into the store i was greeted by Guillermo. He asked me about my skincare routine, and performed an assessment on what type of skin i had (oily). Next, he asked me if i had any inspiration pictures and i showed him what i had on my phone. He took one look at the picture and stated " i know exactly what you want". This is when the magic began. He wiped my face and started with my eyes. He used embark, swiss chocolate, carbon and a neutral brown. He even put glitter on the lids after he lined the eyes and they looked FANTASTIC!!!Since i had been in Hawaii for some time i had developed a deep tan an Guillermo was able. to neutralize the tan using NW products. He set my face with mineralize powder which was great because it wasn't heavy or cakey just beautiful. He finished by contouring my face with powder. He gave me a neutral brown lip to finish the look.I would strongly recommend Guillero to anyone for their makeup needs. He was kind, considerate and easy to talk too. It was like hanging out with a friend over coffee or drinks. The time just flew by. I only wish he lived closer so he could do all my events.Guillermo's skills are exceptional and you should definitly book him for your next event!!!!!!

Walked in to pick up some of my favorite eye shadows & The employee was not very helpful and condescending. MAC employees have never had the best reputation and it's sad that it is 2023 and they still have the same pretentious work culture. Can't speak for all of them but the woman that was there on Saturday evening was definitely not pleasant.

Went for a perfect color match foundation. Tiffany was exceptional and got a perfect match from the get go, along with a product that would work with my needs. She was very informative on the products and techniques she used, and quick to answer any questions.

Rude workers, they totally ignore you unless you look like you have money. When I went in with my best friend and her brother and sister who are professional makeup artist they didn't pay us any attention until they found out they were big time (worked on movies) then they totally payed attention to us.

I feel like a lot of people will walk past mac, especially those in the younger crowd with big name stores like Sephora or Ulta. That being said MAC has their ride or dies and I think it has alot to do with their steadfastness in quality; MAC has not lost its touch when it comes to the quality and signature shades of make up, I have not found a better foundation than body and face. Let me just say the people who currently work in this location make me feel like I'm in a movie where the popular beautiful kids take in the quiet awkward kid and show them the ropes lmao. MAC Alamoana is absolutely the BEST location. Back in the day before YouTube and social media, average people like us would have to literally learn how to do our make up from employees at make up stores like this, and the employees here still have that mindset of showing people techniques and being mentors rather than pushing pushing pushing trying to desperately sell and make commission. *ahem my first sentence* And no one here will chase you around the store or pester you.The girlies at Morphe won't even LOOK at you until check out LOL, which is okay. I'm cool with it. But sometimes it's a little troublesome when I actually do have questions. G is a beautiful soul, and he will give you honest sound advice. Also the girl with the nice feathered eyebrows- she's great. I hope the employees here are rewarded and compensated well, their hospitality are ultimately what keep me coming back even if there are other macs closer to where I live, it's no comparison.

Stopped in to grab a few of my favorite items and G was so helpful and knowledgeable! He gave great recommendations for bronzers, high lights, and powder! The store is spacious and fully stocked! A great MAC store to pick up all your favorite pieces!

I live in Anchorage, Alaska and unfortunately our MAC counter located in Nordstrom's closed down. I utilize the container return program so I brought my empty containers back down to Hawaii so my daughter could get the free products. I think I had about 27 of them and your sales rep, Paris was so nice and extremely helpful. She truly went above and beyond helping out my daughter and was very patient. Thank you Paris!
