It was so bad, it’s hilarious ? I’m losing so much hair, in clumps. They charged me for things I didn’t ask for nor did they do what I asked correctly. I know someone that knows the owner and that person reached out to me personally on Instagram to apologize on the salon’s behalf. Terrible customer service and they have no idea what they’re doing. No parking either. This place is a total scam. Save your time and go elsewhere.

Still loving the look and service at M-irror salon!! My stylist is Yama (fabulous!) but have been to Mei too (also fabulous!). Parking is right in front of the building (weekday mornings are best) and a little scary with the main road, so make sure you pull in as much as you can. The bathroom is shared on the outside of the building. Ok so those are the only two negatives about this place. Does all the positives outweigh those things? Absolutely! The salon is always clean and bright. They're always on time. Yama seems to read my mind on what I want and works his magic. When my hair grows out, I love every stage of it! He advises you!! I want certain trendy styles, but he knows me too, and lets me know I have to commit to every 6 weeks to maintain the look (high and low lights). He advised me against bangs LOL again that I have to come back every few weeks to trim them. He knows and isn't pushing to make more sales. He doesn't go against my nature of wanting low to no maintenance grooming. He knows I come once a year to chop it off and straighten again and that's it. And he is okay with just an annual customer instead of pushing me to do more. I've been coming here for years!! I definitely recommend!!

The stylist kept laughing when I tried to explain what I wanted. The ac was broken and they had the door propped open. The stylist obviously worked on men more then woman and I wish that was on their website when I booked my apt that would have been useful to know. The stylist was nice enough just kept saying he didn't understand what I was asking. And didn't even make any suggestions or recommendations. Isn't that what stylists are supposed to do? Left the salon sad and did not have that I just got my hair done feeling. Was very upset

I've done two hair cut and colors with Mei. She is the owner of the salon and specializes in Japanese hair styling techniques. I appreciate her expertise and suggestions. She does a great job at tailoring the cut/color around your desired hair lifestyle. She usually has an assistant helping her to expedite parts of the color and wash process. They are always nice and efficient. The salon is well-lit and streamlined. Parking is easy with stalls right out front on Pensacola street.

This is a late response from a hair appointment I had back in December (2023) while vising family on O'ahu. I booked my appointment with Yama and without exaggerating, it was one of the best experiences I've had at a hairdresser. From the moment I stepped into the salon (even calling to book my appointment, which whomever the young woman I spoke with made it easy and was able to accommodate me merely three days later), Yama and the rest of the M-IRROR Salon team treated me with utmost grace and propriety. Yama, as a stylist, is a rarity because he truly seems to have a passion for his craft; and even before he touched a single product or tool, he spent at least 5 minutes analyzing my hair and pointing out flaws I hadn't even noticed from my last stylist. Afterwards, Yama spent the next 2 - 3 hours working his "magic" on my hair and gave me one of the best layered cuts ever (I'd even say the cut and color looks even better almost 2 months after). I say "magic" lightly, because it would be insulting to reduce Yama's years of dedication and skill to mere sorcery. Anyway, I am back in Germany now and wish I had won the lottery so I could buy a ticket to Hawai'i every few months to get my hair done at M-IRROR. Please do not hesitate to book your next hair appointment here, you will not regret it!

Moved to Oahu in December of 2022, and could not find a salon willing to call me back or book new clients. FFWD TEN MONTHS (looking like cousin IT), I found M-IRROR, recommended through someone in my neighborhood.
I booked a layered cut and color with Yama, and I am sooooooo happy with the job he did.
He took his time evaluating my hair and gave me a thorough consultation before starting. Let’s just say- He KNOWS hair and knows how to work those sheers! As a military family we move around A LOT, and I can honestly say this is a rare find. I felt like a life long client and friend. The salon is VERY clean, easy parking and most of all Yama, made me feel comfortable and delivered the hair style better than I could’ve ever expected! This will be my salon as long as we live here!! Thank you, Yama!!

Ikumi is my favorite ? she gets my hair and cuts are on point! This place is clean and nice. In Ward area.. super convenient for those living in town.
