The Luana Hotel is an amazing, lovely botique hotel (I always stay here when I come to Waikiki) ❤️! It has excellent views of the ocean and Fort de Russy Park. The location is perfect, both near the beach, near buses and shops!Rooms: Room 1510 has an awesome partial ocean view! Such comfy beds and not too noisy!Nearby activities: Near the ABC Store, food trucks and buses that go around the whole island!Walkability: Perfect location, on Kalakaua and Kuhio. Close to the beach!Food & drinks: On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, they have a Meet and Greet with wine or beer, cheese and crackers and a hulu dancer and a singer (so much fun to meet the other people staying in the hotel)!Noteworthy details: Got a lovely pool!

The rooms were perfect, with a nice kitchen area with granite counters, sitting area and a walkout balcony with chairs. The whole hotel is beautiful but also very comfortable with a welcoming and friendly staff!I was so relieved to have a place to keep my luggage when I had a late flight out on the day of checkout. They kindly tool my bags and gave me a key to be able to use the facilities and pool area. That really saved me and they were happy to help! I'd stay here again for the service alone.

The elevator doesn't require a key, even at night. Which is convenient if you're just coming to hookup with someone who's staying there.

Room was more than adequate for my one night stay. It’s a kitchenette we’ll stocked with utensils, a toaster oven and a larger than usual hotel room fridge. Staff is friendly. Service was quick.

We (four girls and four guys) stayed here for four nights while visiting Waikiki. The girls room was the perfect size for all of us, I only wish the lighting was better in the bath room. Speaking of, the bath room also does not have a fan which may be worth noting for some. The guys had almost the exact same room, just with a smaller kitchen. The staff was super friendly, answered all of our questions and had fresh towels and blankets delivered upon request. The hotel it self is in a great location, not too in the city but still within walking distance of lots of food, shopping, and beach's. I loved that it was right next to a park. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was the fish they kept on the check in counter in a tiny bowl. Not really anything major but I'm sure the fish isn't having a great life.Overall I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again

Stayed there for the first time last week, and our over all experience was great! Our room was comfortable, location was good, and staff was very nice. Gina from front desk was awesome, professional, friendly, and accommodating. Will stay there again.

For hotels on the lower-price scale in Waikiki, I thought Luana was a great option. We only stayed here one night, but the rooms are spacious and updated, the pool and gym are enjoyable, and the location is pretty good. Right on a park to go for a walk/jog, close enough to walk to restaurants and shopping, and only a few blocks to the beach. Many reviews fault resort fees and parking fees, but those are both a fact of life in Waikiki. I thought both at Luana are reasonable, all things considered. Beach chairs, towels, coffee in the morning are all great amenities. Our balcony overlooked Kalakaua Ave, which brings noise from traffic, but nothing unbearable at all.

We’ve stayed at the Luana twice now. Both times we picked the Luana because of the price. It is one of the cheaper hotels in Waikiki. We typically do not like staying in Waikiki because it’s so touristy and busy, but we have a small child and the waters are calm here. The Luana is a little off the beaten path and not as busy as staying in the center of town. However, everything is still very walkable. The rooms are clean, the pool is nice. There is a gym and laundry service. You get room service every other day. The rooms have a small kitchenette, with a mini fridge, a toaster oven, and coffee pot. There are toiletries in the bathroom. Simply put, for the price, it can’t be beat.Added bonus we noticed this year: they have lei making on Mondays, which we did and it was fun! They also have wine and cheese on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights with live music and a hula dancer. Wine, beer, and cheese are complimentary during the hour. In addition, they have little beta fish you can “adopt” for the night, which is fun for little ones. There are a lot of places to fill up your water bottle and coffee in the lobby in the morning. The only negative is the elevators never seem to all be working at the same time.Walkability: Everything in Waikiki is walkable from here.

My wife and I recently stayed at Luana for four days and had a mostly enjoyable experience. I would rate our overall stay as 5 stars, primarily due to the exceptional service, low price, and prime location, all of which deserve full marks. However, it's worth noting that the room felt a bit dated, warranting a 3-star rating in that aspect. The staff were consistently friendly, and the service was commendable. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the Waikiki shopping mall was convenient, as it was within walking distance. We would certainly consider staying here again in the futureNearby activities: shipping, beachWalkability: close to the Waikiki walk shopping mall

Rarely do we go out of our way to change hotels mid stay. We did here.I have too many complaints, the top few: old worn out furniture, dirty floor/carpet, front desk with horrid customer service, and a LOUD AC.The pool is slippery, gets deep very quickly and is dangerous for small kids or adults. We paid way too much for such a roadside motel-like experience. If you're reading this, avoid them. The support staff that serviced the room whenever we asked for help were great ?.
