This is 2 of the 5 Honolulu Botanical Gardens. It is free. However, this was more like a small park than a Botanical Garden. It had 3 small beautiful falls & was wheelchair friendly. We were the only ones at the park. The grass was great on your feet.
This would be a nice place for a picnic of food brought from home because there are no bar-b-cue grills!

Beautiful little park crammed in urban Honolulu. Tranquility at it's finest.

It's more like a green space than a botanical garden, and there are no panels explaining plants endemic to Hawaii (I definitely want one). It's open to the public for free, so maybe they don't have the budget, but I'd love to see an explanation panel about its history, including the former location of Liliuokalani's villa and the setting of the myth of Papa and Wakea.
Additionally, the premises were clean and comfortable. It's not worth visiting as a tourist destination, but it's a nice place to have a drink and take a break. The restrooms are closed.

A small and quiet place to take a short walk in the middle of town. Small parking lot and restroom are available. Serene stream, huge trees and rocks are part of the landscapes. No charge.

IMHO, it is more like a beautiful neighborhood park than “a botanical garden”.

If you are going there for a short walk, or maybe a small party to use the picnic benches (there are three in a great spot next to the waterfall) it could be nice. Even for a picnic. But I went there to potentially study and it didn't feel safe to stay there by myself for an extended period of time with my laptop. It is very beautiful and the waterfall is amazing, but there is trash and some homeless camps before and after the waterfalls.

The little park is underrated. Despite it's location, it's very serene & quiet. You mostly hear the water & the birds. It's very small & like many have said, more like a park than a botanical garden. It's far less manicured than Foster or Wahiawa Botanical Garden. There is a lot of shade & picnic tables, with pretty views of the Nuuanu Stream. It's perfect for a picnic or photos in front of the waterfall. Minimal litter at the time we went. There were only 2 downsides. 1) the parking lot has more craters than the moon! 2) there were 2 homeless camps on either end of the far side of the stream, with laundry & tarps hanging. We didn't go over to that side & just let them have their space.

It’s my beautiful backyard view, not only are we blessed with its lush green, landscape, but the sounds of nature are so soothing. Canopy trees, waterfall, bubbling stream and the birds all seem right out of a fairy tale…it’s real though. You may see and definitely hear the songs of the occasional Parakeet, Myna, White-Rumped Shama, Creeper, Zebra dove, Spotted dove and Crested Cardinals.

Fine park, could have been the time I went but there weren't too many flowers. A few plants had plaques labelling them. More of a nice park than a botanical garden. Easy to miss turn into free parking.
