It was a pleasure working with Liberty Auto from start to finish, we live on the big island and where not able to fly over for a test drive, they shipped our car to us and it was as described, everything was clear and no disappointments, very professional and highly recommended, Thank You!

My cousin called me oct2nd and saying she bought a car from them and she was asking me if it was ok. First of all she went there just to look around because she doesn't have her drivers license yet but she left with buying her first car. So, she couldn't even test drive the car and needed help to pick it up obviously because she can't drive legally yet. Why would you sell someone a car that she can't drive yet, AND it was a very very hight price for a older car. So I went down and told them I would purchase it to help bring the cost down and because she can't even drive, then I'd help her get her license. I get there and take it for the first test drive and the passenger seatbelt doesn't even work. But they say I can take it and bring it back to fix it later. I obviously contested and they said it would only take a day to fix. It took 9days to fix. Ok, sometimes shops are busy and it takes some time, I know because I ran a mechanic shop for the past 10years, so I understand. Oct 11th, when I get there to pick up the car I drive home and I find roaches crawling all over me and the inside of the car as well. They say I can bring it back and they will take at of it. I drop off the car and let them know the navigation system isn't working either. They were nice enough to give me a loaner while they take care of the problems. I only put like maybe a 100 miles on it and park it in my drive way. They keep me updated and say the car it being professionally cleaned for the roach problem. When I ask about the navigation system they say they're taking care of one think at a time and will look at it after. They set my appointment to pick up the car Monday Nov1st at 3 pm. I have to wait an hour before the car arrives and when it does the navigation system still doesn't work and they said they can call someone to get a quote for me to fix it if I want. Keep in mind I haven't even taken the car home yet, I've paid the 1st payment already, and there is supposed to be a mileage warranty with so many days if there is anything wrong with the car to bring it back, that's what they said when I purchased the car, but they said they can't do anything for me about the navigation system problem. On top of that I purchased a 2year warranty but the navigations isn't covered under any of those warranty purchases?! I go to put my stuff in the trunk and find all the trunk panels apart from the cleaning and the back seat bent an mangled. I do appreciate the unko helping put the panels back together in the truck and bend the back seat so it can be put back together. He and his helper was very helpful but once the sale was done everyone else disappeared and wasn't able to help me anymore. I would be very careful purchasing a car from them. Me, I will not purchase another car from them and I will suggest to anyone I know, go elsewhere.

Was able to get a hold of Gabriel and he took it upon himself to solve the problem and get me my registration asap. Got a bunch of excuses from other staff members at Choice Automotive but Gabriel was the one who kept in touch until I had the paperwork in my hands. Which is why I'm adding a couple stars back in my review.

I was helped by Samuel Whitish. Came there in an emergency because I'm a single mother working 2 jobs and my only vehicle had major issues. Samuel showed Aloha from the jump and was very helpful!!! He communicated with me through out the entire process and I felt confident in purchasing my car through him. Overall my experience was GREAT, & definitely recommend going through Sam because Braddah was on point! Thank you CHOICE AUTOMOTIVE !

Still less than one star. It's now been 25 days since my last review. Still have not received my plates for my car, or an updated sticker. I tried to May my own appointment with the DMV to just do it all myself, since I'm sure it wasn't even ever submitted by Choice. (We have contacted them multiple times to make things right). That's when I realized that the safety inspection they left for me in the car was from the ORIGINAL purchase, in 2019. So I had to cancel my appointment for this morning, and now have to go get a new safety inspection before I can go get new plates. This place just continues to be a complete hassle, and fails to get anything right - any step of the way. My updated review is to stay away STILL. Edited for the last time to add - I do not have the wrong information. I understand the car is registered. However, we did not receive any of the updated paperwork from the DMV. For some reason it went to Choice Auto instead, after which never was sent to us - until we called checking repeatedly. Then we just get a small envelop with the registration paper torn off, and no updated sticker ( so we called.. again...) and their office said it was stolen and do my husband to figure it out with the DMV. To reply on my review that I just have "wrong information" is absolutely incorrect. This business has repeatedly dropped the ball with this transaction. I have reviewed and filed a complaint, and am moving on from this incredibly frustrating situation.

I was selling my car before leaving the island and large detailers were lowballing me way below what I was asking. I went to choice automotive and they met my asking price no questions asked. Shout out to Jasmine and Sean for being super helpful and getting me out quickly and easily.

I am customer of this place and I WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO HERE! UNLESS you are a mechanic and know cars well! The car I purchase was great when I test drives nothing alarming on the initial visit. 2weeks later warnings start popping up on the dash another week later the car stalled out n stop driving in the middle of the road! I called very upset and they offered me a rental HAD NO AC I returned it another rental CAR WOULDN'T START.. they made me pay for towing and repairs. 1400 in repairs they paid 200 of it after buying the car that month they said per warranty that's the best they can do. and well now car isn't useable n is just sitting as a big waste of money every month. IM AN IDIOT FOR GOING THERE I HOPE NOONE EVER GOES THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH WITH THEM! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!

Great costumers service when you're buying the car. After that watch out! We bought a car, paid for the extended warranty. After driving it off the lot noticed an engine sputter. Took the car back the next day to be serviced. After almost 2 weeks later and extremely poor communication with me I get the car back. During the 2 weeks they gave us a loaner car. After a few days they called and asked me to trade in the loaner car for another one ( not a big deal) however the next car was a death trap, a year passed safety and at one point the car battery died. Throughout this 2 week process waiting for my car. I was told the car was ready when it was not. Another time I drove to the dealer to pick it up after i was called and said it was ready and they were confused why I was there. They kept telling me they call and texted my wife and they didn't. I asked them what number they had and it was wrong. They will always tell you they will call you back and won't. One person showed me his phone call log just to defend himself and I showed him my call log with nothing on it and no voice mail. Finally when I went to get in my car to take it home I noticed they drive it 200 miles. I challenged them again and they told me that it was it took while they were troubleshooting the engine and going back and forth to the service department. Absolute bull! How do you put 200 miles on a car driving to Kapolei? They get defensive way too fast and cause you to lose trust in them very early. Glen clearly tries hard but just lies to your face to shut you up. He is a quick talker and cuts you off very early while you are talking. The team at Choice basically will say anything to deflect anything that looks weird, like why a car would have 200 extra miles on it and minus a half a tank of gas. They are nice to your face but not sure how genuine they are. Good luck. I want to add I have never wrote a negative review on Yelp, until today. UPDATE: Choice called me back (same day) after my negative experience. Overall they admitted to bad communications and are committed to fix it. I believe them. The additional miles was explained, although it was a large number of miles I guess it's possible. Just was very shocked. I was offered a full detail, full tank of gas and other options. I declined, mostly because I am just too damn busy to go through this again. I told them " I bought your extended warranty so we have relationship, let's get it right next time and we are good" Very hopeful!

I have had my car for a little over two months the engine light went on and the code came up as a purge valve solenoid problem I went back to the dealership to where an employee told me there are no codes popping up. And the engine light has turned off. Magic or scam??? Hm

This place only cares about what they need, there was a fight there with the sales person I was dealing with and another sales person, the worst sign of unprofessionalism ever, it took 45 days for my deal to go through so that I can get a phone call from the sales manager to tell me congratulations on the great interest rate that I scored on, I've never had so much trouble financing a car 45 days later I have an ABS light on I have a traction control light on, this happened the same week I purchased the truck, I paid extra for 90 days warranty through choice, but apparently this isn't covered or they got me for $$$ the truck has wheel locks but not the lock to unlock it, it has a jack, but doesn't have the tools to lower the tire or tool to remove the bolts. After the financing went through after 45 days I had five days to make a payment according to the sales manager if I didn't show up at 12pm the deal wasn't going to go through. If you have a higher than 700 credit just go to a larger dealership save your time

Well was interested in a car... set up an appointment to see said car... then contacted that they were going to be closed for deep cleaning... scheduled second appointment and was told not to worry the car would not sell... to be called again and told they were still closed for cleaning... rescheduled for the third time... then called and told no need to come to appointment the car sold... how the hell do you sell a car when your are closed... SHADY as f****** maybe a good sign car was probably a lemon... SMFH.

A month ago I wrote a 5 Star review because their customer service was on point. im back here to take the 5 stars back. Vehicle broke down within a week of having it, was in the shop for 3 weeks waiting for the dealers warranty to kick in which it did not (dealership paid for fix with us paying a deductible). I just got my vehicle back less than a week and I'm sitting on the side of the road with either a bust radiator or hose...Dealership isn't answering even if it clearly says they are open on Sundays. I will never purchase again from this dealership. don't get me wrong, some agents are helpful to an extent but I bought a lemon and paying too much for it.
