We took our puppy here for all of her vaccinations. I loved the veterinarian and all the workers but I really disliked the hours. I tried to make an appointment for the first shot and they said it’s walk in only for vaccines. We showed up right at the opening time and ended up waiting an hour or two just to get seen. The next three shots we showed up half an hour early just so we wouldn’t waste the day away. We recently called to schedule our pup's spay appt, they put us on hold to verify something with the vet and then hung up on us after 10 mins of being on hold. We called them again and no answer. Ultimately we took this as a sign and decided to switch vets so we wouldnt have to deal with the miscommunication and added anxiety of showing up early just to get seen. Parking is very limited too and we didnt love that either. Everyone there is very nice so if the scheduling doesn’t bother you I would recommend this place! Just didn’t personally work for us.

My Dobermann and I had a great experience with Kokua Clinic and it was priced a bit better . As 75 % of dogs with ear problems have uncropped ears it is easy to see why most vets who refuse to crop ears are making a fortune treating ears ,not to mention the misery dogs go through. These guys truly love and do what's best for the animal . Friendly folks I recommend .

In my opinion, this vet reminds me of my other vet from Kalihi Pet Clinic, when they were in Kalihi. Their charges are very reasonable and the two ladies that wear different hats, who have been there for years are so so wonderful. We have been taking our pets there for over 10 years. It's a small place but always very busy. At the moment, they only have morning hours available and it's walk-in only. Once you get there, get your name on the sign-in sheet located on the wall next to the door. If you are a new patient, they will have you sign a form. I have always had multiple dogs and vet bills can really add up. It hurts less when the fees/charges are more manageable. The vet can come across a little grumpy sometimes but don't let that scare you away. He is very caring and straight forward.

Terrible. Cheap but bedside manner AWFUL. You can tell just by watching how he treats his awesome vet techs. He treats them like lower class citizens. Imagine that. He cares for your pet the same way

Kokua Pet Clinic - DR.Myatt and his staff has been our family vet for over 8 years. They have given all my fur babies Medical Care, Vaccinations, surgeries, emergency surgery & most of all LOVE! Dr.Myatt is a VET who is doing his work for animals, NOT for profit like some other VETS I will say he has saved many stray pets that I have found and brought to KOKUA . If you are the type of person that needs "Fluff" (all the extra bells & whistles " then go to another vet and pay 5x more. If you are a "Karen" go to another vet. These good people don't need your business, They busy as it is!!! Dr.Myatt does not sugar coat it, he tells you the TRUTH.....Yes, the TRUTH, hurts, so if you can't handle the TRUTH, then KOKUA is not for your sensitive self. I'm saying all of this because I wanted to post and say THANK YOU, to DR.MYATT & his AMAZING TEAM for saving our hanai hunting dog "princess" (14years old) with Emergency surgery. He did it as soon as he discovered that princess had a severely infected uterus. She would have died, dr. Myatt saved her life! However, I see some Yelp reviews from over sensitive cry babies Saying he's "cheap" that's why he gets 5 stars.....nah....he gets 5 stars cause He cares, he tells the truth, he's not a rip off, his staff is friendly, & they truly care about our fur babies! Some people just need all The extra, yada...yada... From retired hunting dogs, Pedigree poi dogs To golden retrievers Kokua pet clinic is our vet for life!!! Our family truly appreciate you all at Kokua pet clinic !!! Love, Sophia ,Baby Sophia, princess, H-2, Teddy & Britney

THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE! I recently adopted a kitten from the humane society. I was given a form of participating vet clinics we can visit that will do a complimentary physical exam. I call the clinic to get more information and spoke to a nurse who advised to just walk in and bring my kittens medical history. I visit the clinic the next day and stated on the sign-in slip it is for a complimentary physical exam. As we're waiting outside, a male worker asks if I brought a stool sample. When speaking with the nurse a day prior, she did not tell me I needed to bring this to the appointment. The male worker lets me know it's okay, and he can collect a sample during the visit. A few minutes later, the male worker comes back outside wearing gloves and holding a stick. I had no idea he was taking the sample OUTSIDE THE CLINIC in front of 3 parties ahead of me. This could all have been avoided if the nurse told me what to bring to the appointment. The doctor called us into the clinic for the appointment. First impressions: did not introduce himself, no eye contact when speaking, and did not ask anything about my kitten. We follow the doctor into a room where he instructs us to place the kitten on the scale. While doing so he says, "You better hold your cat because if he runs I won't grab him." The doctor also left the room door open the entire time, so if my kitten did run away, he would've been able to run through the entire clinic. The doctor is getting ready to give my kitten a shot. While doing so, a nurse barges in the room and has a whole separate conversation about dog surgeries. They are going back and forth about what dog to schedule. The doctor gets frustrated with his nurse, starts raising his voice waving the shot around in his hand and says "I'm not Superman!". I was very confused why my kitten was getting a shot to begin with because the humane society ensured his immunizations were up to date. I ask the doctor what the shot was even for, and he began to mumble his words. I could not understand a word he was saying. He then puts a fluid up my kittens mouth and says "You guys are good to go. His stool tested negative for worms. You don't need to come back for another year." The nurse comes back into the room to continue discussing dog surgeries. They both disregard that we are still in the room but remind us again that we're good to go (basically get out). We were not given a summary visit or any feedback of my kitten. We walk out and leave in total shock from what happened. 10 minutes later, the nurse calls to ask if we are still here at the clinic. I tell the nurse we left and she says "you guys forgot to pay." I'm frustrated at this point because 1. My sign-in slip says complimentary physical therapy exam, which shows me they did not bother to read the slip to begin with. 2. They did not ask any information about my kitten and assumed I walked in for a regular physical. I explain to the nurse I adopted the kitten from the humane society and was given a complimentary exam. I brought all the forms requested when I initially spoke to her on the phone, and no one reviewed it. The nurse then says "If the cat was from the humane society, he didn't even need a shot today. He is good on shots for another year." Tell that to your doctor!!!! How is giving my 2 month old kitten 2 doses of the same shot okay? The whole staff at Kokua Pet a clinic are clueless and should be SHUT DOWN FOR MALPRACTICE! Note: although his stool tested negative, they did not recommend for my kitten to be de-wormed. I spoke to another clinic that highly recommended this treatment.

This place is a one stop shop for all my fur babies needs. Nice and friendly staff. Should go there with someone who has a license becuz parking is limited and may have to wait in the car until a spot opens. Or if you're just there to pick up meds, so I just pulled close to the wall so cars can get in and out and was gone within 5 mins. Mahalo!
