I stumbled on a kulolo making class on Eventbrite and decided to go. I loved the event! I learned a lot and was able to help the kids use the graters and scissors. The whole experience was amazing. I would definitely come back again as a volunteer to help make kulolo or do another one of their classes. I have some family friends coming in from the mainland and told them checkout to check out the family learning center with their kids!

Keiki O Ka 'Āina offers so many great Early Childhood Education programs for ages 0- kindergarten, as well as tutoring, family and cultural programs. They host both In-person and virtual, so they can really accommodate all! The HIPPY preschool readiness program has ongoing enrollment and is a great academic compliment for any preschooler or for those who aren't in a school or daycare, will teach you everything you need to start kindergarten! Koka.org is their current website with up to date info.

It takes a vision to help people and a heart that loves God. The workers, the leaders, the Akana Ohana are amazing.I was able to attend all of the board and stone workshops for 6 months. It changed my family and how we look at time and spend our time do a project .O also use the HELP for childcare program, FUNDS to pay for preschool.

This was a really great experience with wonderful teachers. All that attended the class with my wife and I were friendly willing to share or help if needed. Our daughter and her family worked with Uncle Earl to make their poi board..... even after 2 years they are still talking about their experience and how they miss the people and companionship. Everyone should attend this fantastic event dedicated to Hawaiian culture, history and craftsmanship.
