I have to say one of the best experiences I've ever had. The food was amazing and it was super fresh. We had a great time talking with server Pak and chef Chu san. It was very nice getting to know them. Fun fact: they have shipment of 2-3 times a week. So you know everything is fresh.

Food is excellent, very quaint restaurant, a hidden gem! Servers are very attentive and make you feel very comfortable. Chef is serious about his work and everyone can appreciate his beautiful dishes!

This was our second visit to J Shop. If you love and are missing the food in Japan, try this place. The food, service etc reminds me of a neighborhood diner in Japan. It's not fancy but an excellent place to just hang out with friends. Plus it's BYOB.

We've been there several times and the food is always good! The fish is so fresh and everything is delicious. The staff is wonderful and always so helpful and friendly. We went there last night and there was a couple that didn't know it was BYOB. To help make the customers experience enjoyable, she went above and to help him get his sake.

Nothing fancy but the sushi is fresh and the servers are very attentive. I love the authentic vibe great value!

Hidden gem spot. Fun grocery store ambiance, friendly staff, great food & BYOB. A good place to hang out with friends or have a casual date night. I highly recommend the omakase sashimi platter, top quality seafood, an excellent value. They have a large menu with lots of classic izakaya fare. I was told that over 90% of their menu items are imported from Japan. They have ample parking, or catch the bus.

Best ever sashimi - Like eating butter. Owners and waiter were so warm and friendly. Ordered two of their specials for the evening. Out of this word. They will even deep fry your fish bones and shrimp heads which were outstanding. You will love it! BYOB

This is kind hidden place to eat good Japanese food. Actually inside Japanese food market. All fishes are so fresh and very reasonable‼️ I order one omakase sushi and few A la carte. They thought we share, so cut 2 pieces. I wasn't that hungry, so I couldn't order that much. I must go back soon because I wanted try more different food, too😋 2 Japanese lady servers are very kind and friendly. They treat us as family💓

Outstanding service with Yoko and Akemi and casual atmosphere. Fresh fish as usual. Chu San is the best! Will be returning!

The food is delicious. The sashimi is very fresh and great proportions - for the quality and quantity a great deal. We also tried the tempura, butterfish and squid - it was all delicious. The wait staff is attentive. The restaurant is located in the corner of a grocery store and the tables and chairs are not fancy, but everything is clean and comfortable. It is BYOB. Overall, highly recommend.
