Website says supporting Hawaii with commercial and Residential services since 1968. I called and worker was friendly, but said they don't sell or do any residential work. So...is he mistaken?? Or their website is misleading??

I needed a handset and 5" latch for my 70s downtown condo. Not knowing any better I looked at Home Depot first, but they sent me to JBL. This is apparently the pro place where contractors and locksmiths go. I found them extremely helpful by email, then I came in and knew exactly what I needed. This is where I'm going from now on to get my lock solutions.

I've tried and tried several ways to do business with JBL for a small residential job and they either don't care or don't have the staff to answer emails or return phone calls. Very disappointed.

People at JBL Hawaii are truly great professionals!!!! I was looking for a special hardware for the door of a unit. Which Home Depot and Lowe's don't carry. I called them and spoke to Keola, super helpful, kind and knowledgeable representative! After ordering the right part, upon arrival the part fits the door frame perfectly, however; it doesn't lock in place. I went back and told Keola, while explaining, Mr. Dewy the lock and key supervisor overheard my situation. He allowed Sean the door specialist, another great professional to help assist me by meeting with me at the unit the next day. He came and worked on the door, and the end result was amazing! He didn't just fixed the problem, but made everything perfect like new!!!! Unbelievable!!!!! JBL Hawaii, an awesome company with super professionals at work! A big thank you to Keola, Sean, and Mr. Dewy!!!!! You guys are the Best!!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING! I have a very old mortise lock that needed new parts/repair and they helped me troubleshoot this thing for 2 hours and made sure that I left with a working lock! I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs help with locks! They really care about their customers and know their business.THANK YOU!!

Went to JBL to look for tracks for by-pass doors. No selection, just an expensive brass type. Very helpful salesperson and nice showroom. Ended up not using the tracks. When I tried to return them; DENIED. I missed the part about their 30-day return limit policy. There was nothing in the invoice copy and I didn't see a sign. Nice place but just know about the 30-day limit if you might have to return your purchase. Missed it by a week! Now I'm out $215 with no other use for them. -_-

These guys are AWESOME!! I have a very old mortise lock on my front door that needed some repairs/troubleshooting. I brought it in one morning and they dedicated practically their whole morning to helping me fix my lock! They provided EXCELLENT customer service and are truly dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is having lock issues, these guys have been in business forever and have seen it all! My lock works perfectly now thanks to JBL! THANK YOU!!
