Thorben built our kitchen island that looks like a beautiful freestanding piece of furniture, and refinished a 1940s cabinet built by a grandfather. Both experiences were so positive that we now have more projects in progress. Thorben is amazing and very talented. His craftsmanship is demonstrated through in his attention to details. He responded to questions quickly and addressed all concerns and changes as they came up. We love the pieces that he created for us. Monkey pod bar top, custom koa cabinets, shelves and buffet tops were all perfect and beautiful. Unprofessional, I have seen a previous review where they have told a customer “go get help” which they have since deleted. Obviously foreigner owner with no local respect or morals. I’d much rather support a local company. Lots of great other companies who can do much better work. Save your time and money.

We've had this bed for six years- it's gone from Hawaii to Maine, from Maine to California, from California to Michigan, and is currently on its way back to Hawaii. Craftsmanship is excellent. I love what he's doing with the new designs. 100 percent worth what he charges. It's an heirloom piece that has traveled well throughout our many relocations.

Very good work, quick, accurate, responsive, highly recommend.We asked Thorben to refinish a dinning room table that was twisted, uneven, and poorly made. He listened to our concerns and quickly made a plan. He recut the edges, flattened the top, and rejoined the dinning room table. Thorben (Honolulu Furniture Company) exceeded our expectations. He made us a round family dinner table (48 inches) from local monkey pod. The style is mid-century modern. He recommended a "knife edge" and it's just the right amount of accent and precise detail for the piece. It's incredible. We WILL order other pieces from him again. We're a military family and will take this with us for our next station. It's a piece of Hawai'i that will always be with us and we can appreciate it day in and day out.

What a great experience. We needed a special custom made high table for our kitchen and when I asked Thorben at Honolulu Furniture Company it was no problem what so ever.
