I had to agree with a review that discussed the customer service when I approached a female worker with a question. While I wouldn't describe her as terrible, she did seem to have a somewhat judgmental demeanor and acted as if she considered herself above serving certain customers. It made the shopping in the store very uncomfortable. On a more positive note, I would like to give two stars to one of the workers as he was quite helpful.

As I was raised in Hawaii and moved to the mainland, I always tend to get my gear from HIC when I come back. this past trip saw me just leaving without purchasing because of the customer service or the lack of...The girls did not want to be there. I've seen more personality in a self check out kiosk than the workers.

i came in last night around 830 pm and the customer service was horrible… very horrible!!!! a guy saw me pass by/come in and not even a “hi” or anything!!!!!! there were 2 other workers that i seen and i was in about for 10 min….. i was interested in a couple items but didn’t purchase because no one approached me. i work in the customer service industry and a simple hello goes a long way… t&c has better customer service. i’d rather spend my money somewhere else that provides waaayyyyy better customer service.

Great location and super friendly and helpful staff. Not easy to find HIC merchandise/store in Southern California. Store was spacious and well displayed products. Sample shirt/design was hanging on wall which made it so easy to pick what I want. Great customer service showing me the different colors to each shirt design. Purchasing at the store was better than online since store offered promo of second item at 50%. Also lower sales tax here as compared to CA is a plus.

This was the ONLY store that had board shorts with Hawaiian Petroglyphs, or kii pohaku, tribal designs. I looked everywhere to find something stylishly edgy with a huge callback to Hawaii culture and this local surf shop definitely delivers. Staff was really friendly and kept me in the know with discounts going on after 4th July sales.This place has more surf/skate merchandise and designs than T&C, Local Motion, Ross, Marshals, Sera's Surf 'N Shore, and Volcom. With so many competitors I'm glad I be found the one that had what I was looking for!!

I've always find time to shop here every time that we are visiting. Shirts are decently priced and there are quite a few selections. Staff are very friendly and helpful!

They never answer their emails or their phone. I've called and messaged them so many times because I have questions on how to purchase in bulk and they have not once responded. I found them on IG and messaged them there. They told me I should keep emailing them and "we'll get back to me in a week." It's been months now and I've given up. They suck.
