My husband and me we got married in valentine's day. It was a very nice ceremony with a Hawaii state Judge, fast and easy. We call to make a appointment they have 2 different hour's noon or afternoon, you take the civil married certificate and paid $120 to the lady in the front desk... She's so nice and polite.... If you want something fast and easy I'll really recommend this place to everyone!

Easy peasy wedding in front of a judge. I was already stressed out with wedding planning (pre-covid) but looking back I'm glad we went this route. Saved a ton of money. It was really easy. Schedule an appointment, but first you have to get your marriage license at the Department of Health in order to get married. You and your soon to be spouse have to go to the DOH together in person to get the marriage license. Then you have to take the marriage license to your appointment (I think it's within 30 days or something, you don't have to go on the same day). When I called to make an appointment, the woman who answered was really patient with me and really helpful. We chose a Saturday in December 2020 since we both work M-F. Got there about 15 mins early, waited in our car and saw another couple go in before us. The judge was able to take us earlier than our appointment time - we were in and out in about 10 minutes! The judge was so nice and took tons of pictures of us using my iPhone. She also let me record the entire wedding (the ceremony took about 4 mins) so I could show my family later (they didn't come due to covid). On Saturdays it's easy because the courts are closed and there is plenty of street parking. It's in a small hole in the wall on the same block as Circuit Court. Just around the corner, or across the street from Nio boba place. Inside is pretty small, because of covid they didn't allow anyone inside (I think it was max 1 or 2 guests). Maybe it's changed now but good to call and double check. Note: lighting isn't all that great inside and the AC was blowing loudly. So in my video it's a little dark and hard to hear but oh well. Had to edit the video to make it lighter. If you are wondering what to wear - I actually came the day before to pay and saw people wearing whatever's. Some wearing all white, some super casual, some in office attire. I wore a casual white mini dress and my husband wore a floral collared shirt with slacks.

This is a perfect place if you just want a quick ceremony! We were in & our my. It took about 10 minutes. We called to make an appointment & everyone there was friendly. There was 2 couples ahead of us but the wait was super fast. We brought our 4 girls with us, 3 are 3 and under & they were so welcoming with them. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick marriage

My fiancé and I had planned our wedding for Sept 2020 at a beautifulllll venue but had to cancel earlier this year due to Covid. We thought we could wait it out until next year but we thought what the heck let's just do it already. We were tired of waiting around only to see everything get worse. I called about two weeks before the date we wanted to get married and the lady I talked to on the phone was so nice and very helpful. She reminded me of everything that we needed and everything we should have on hand prior to doing our little ceremony there. We were able to get our date without any hassle and showed up about 10 mins prior to our ceremony start time on that date. We parked across the street in the garage and even though there were about 2 couples before us we were in and out within half an hour. The judge who did our ceremony made it very intimate even though it was just my husband and I there. She took some pictures for us and we were able to FaceTime our families while she preformed the ceremony. Thank you Hawaii Civil Marriages for bringing some joy through these challenging times!!

I loved how easy the whole process was! I called the day before just to ask about parking. We opted to park at Makai Garage, which charges just 50 cents for a half hour. I think there is street parking too for either the same rate or free(?). We had the most exceptional Judge Kawamura. She made the ceremony feel intimate and special, and it was short and super sweet. I've never dreamed of a huge wedding growing up, and this ceremony was perfect for what I wanted. I didn't need to feel the pressure all the stressors that come with planning a big wedding. No need to find a white dress that I'll only wear once! Mahalo for everything! My step-by-step process: 1. Apply online for the marriage license. $65 2. Call a marriage license agent to set up an appointment to have the license issued. I made hubby do this since I don't like calling, but except for DOH itself I think all the agents are appointment only. 3. Both hubby and I showed our drivers licenses to the marriage license agent and answered a few quick questions and had our marriage license issued. It only took about 5 minutes! He was divorced before but did not need to show the divorce papers since it happened 3 years ago. The Hawaii DOH website said he would need to show papers if the divorce had happened within the last 30 days, which didn't apply. $5 cash (exact change only) to the marriage license agent. 4. Showed up at Hawaii Civil Marriage around 11:50am. Gave the marriage license and $80 cash and waited a few minutes. A few minutes later, MARRIED!
