Very pleasant and nice staff, made us feel welcomed, and made our arrival and stay memorable. This hotel is in a prime location where everything is within walking distance. The only downside, which is out of the hotel's control, is the beach. We rented a car and ventured out where the beach was immaculate. The pool is nice and the bar service is great, thank you Jerome for the great service. We loved Hawaii and the people, and when we return we plan on staying here again!

The warm staff makes this hotel exceptional! Valet staff are the nicest and such a refreshing vibe. Housekeeping is great as well and the rooms are kept crisp clean. We were given a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to celebrate a special occasion which was a nice touch. The only downside of this hotel are the claustrophobic location and the astonishing $50/day parking rate (which for a 4-star hotel should be complimentary for hotel guests).

I visited on a business trip.A sister hotel to Halekulani, this is a simple hotel with a sophisticated design. You can spend a blissful time drinking original cocktails at the infinity pool on the 8th floor overlooking the ocean of Waikiki ^_^There is a laundry facility, which is helpful for long-term stays. You can experience the latest training at the gym.We recommend this hotel as a reasonably priced hotel with the quality of Halekulani.Rooms: It's simple and we recommend both ocean and city views from the higher floors.

I was very happy with the experience at Halepuna in 2022 that I came back this year again. But now I feel like it’s not worth it anymore. Rates and parking fees went up quite a bit, while service got worse. One thing really annoyed me was that at beginning of my stay they told me they were short of earplugs so I had to buy a pair from somewhere else. The day after my earplugs were thrown away by housekeepers. Being awakened in midnight I had to ask them again for earplugs, and had waited 15min still got nothing. After another call I finally got it. But I wasn’t sleepy anymore. It ruined my entire day.Valet service is very good though.

You can choose two benefits when making a reservation. If you arrive in the morning, I think it's best to check in early.I chose something different and decided to check in early next time.Check-in is at 3pm, but we will email you when it is ready.I was on the 8th floor with an ocean view, but the lanai is probably only on the 8th floor. My son's lanai, which was staying on the ocean front on the 19th floor, was average.I chose the benefit that included breakfast, and I'm glad I didn't have to worry about breakfast because the yen was cheap. There is no resort fee, so it feels like a good deal, but the view from the room was not great.

Wonderful experience for our very first stay in Hawaii. We arrived just before midnight from the airport and front desk staff welcomed us and sent our luggages quite fast with a valet service.Despite couple of issues with the room condition and noise in first night we are extremely satisfied about the room and the service. Quality at best value. The swimming pool was just perfect size to enjoy and the jacuzzi as well.Special thanks to manager Mizuho, she is absolutely awesome. She tried her best to help us and we can't thank enough. Thanks againWe highly recommend

This hotel was AMAZING. It was in super modern and in the perfect location - the beach was less than a 5 min walk, and the hotel had beach bags, chairs and boogie boards for us to use.The service was excellent, from check in, to valet, to housekeeping, everyone went above and beyond. The hotel is also very up to date, with USB-C and USB charger hookups in the room, a wonderful (although small) lanai, a bidet with all the bells and whistles and Spa Halekulani products in the bathroom. Breakfast was in the restaurant, UMI by Vikram Garg, and everything we tried was superb - the masala omelette and the french toast were two of the standouts. All in all, I'd love to stay here again.

The hotel is very nice and modern. Everything is new and in good condition. The location is very central close to everything. I stayed in the ocean view room for 6 nights. The view is very pretty, and you can see Friday night fireworks from my bedroom balcony. It was a very peaceful and quiet stay, which I really loved. However, for me, they still lack some 4-star service.

We are currently staying at this hotel as I write this review. We had booked our honeymoon stay at Halepuna for 7 nights under the AMEX “The Hotel Collection” promo which includes several perks and benefits including a property credit, complimentary room upgrade (when available) and complimentary breakfast each day of our stay. Upon check-in, we were informed that the booking came through on their end as an Expedia room reservation and that we wouldn’t be able to get the benefits that we had originally booked. After going back and forth for two days with Halepuna and AMEX, the issue was not resolved which, to be fair, is not really Halepuna’s fault. However, considering we booked a 7 night stay, went through all the back and forth stress for two days and travelling for our honeymoon, we would have appreciated if they did something for us when it was clear that the error wasn’t on our end. I had also shown them my email reservation that I booked through AMEX and NOT Expedia but they said they couldn’t do anything. The front desk girls were helpful to an extent but couldn’t do much to help the situation (they kept having to go ask their manager sitting in the side room who never once came out). Aside from the mishap, our room was not stocked with toiletries upon arrival and I truly feel like there’s a lack of customer service. Our honeymoon started off on such a bad note and I can’t wait to get out of here and check into 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay after.Advice- it really doesn’t cost you much to give your customers complimentary breakfast (which I would have received already) when it’s clear it wasn’t our fault with the booking mishap and AMEX called you to explain the situation as well.Disappointed.Update (2/29): After countless hours of fighting this, my husband and I eventually just gave up. Coincidentally, we received a call from Kai, the property manager yesterday who was apologetic about the situation and offered an acceptable solution for us. Note: Kai was off for the last 3 days and was not the manager on duty while we were originally dealing with this situation. Although he was not able to re-book us under The Hotel Collection by AMEX, he provided us a discounted rate for the remaining portion of our stay with the breakfast option included, gave us a new room and personally met us at our door to take us to the new room with a bottle of wine in hand for us. This is a prime example of customer service and hospitality and it should have been dealt with sooner as we’re already 4 nights into our stay. Not sure what the other acting manager(s) were doing and why they couldn’t have provided this same solution to us earlier.I assume we were reached out to because of my original Google review however, it shouldn’t take a review for the property to finally find a solution for us.Revising the 2 star rating to a 3 star rating solely because of Kai. Other managers at this property can learn from him- give that man a raise.

This hotel understands hospitality! Period. We got in just this afternoon to stay one night before our cruise. This is 7-star quality (the new ratings based on Dubai and UAE’s wave of the future for hospitality) in my opinion, from it’s cleanliness and amazing linens, to its simple, absolute elegance and excellent, excellent service quality: provides clear instructions, top-notch, friendly customer and housekeeping service (helped us figure out the shower knobs), easy pre-check & check-in and very prompt service. Hospitality is not about perfection as much as it is about taking care of guests and providing them a luxury experience! Mahalo Halepuna! Very, very well done hospitality team! This is a great way to start my first-time vacation in Hawai’i!

The service (from the concierge, front desk, and housekeeping) was next level. Everyone was so helpful. The rooms were nice. The bathrooms were excellent. One block over from the beach. Great location also! Free water bottles and the way our rooms were always left immaculate when we returned by housekeeping took things to the next level.Rooms: Up to date and spacious. Bathroom was one of the best I’ve seen with a modern tub/shower and a bidet toilet.Nearby activities: The mall is a two min walk away from the hotel. Plenty of eats and shopping.Walkability: Plenty of stores and restaurants within a 5 min walk of the hotel. The beach is under 5 min away.Food & drinks: Free water bottles.

I stayed there in 2023 and 2024.Compared to 2023, the quality of service has declined dramatically. Cleaning was especially sloppy. The bathrobe was never changed during my stay. If I had said so, they might have replaced it, but personally I was just barely okay with it, so I didn't mention it.You won't get a toothbrush unless you tell the front desk, but since I'll be staying for four nights on the first day, I told them I wanted it for all days, and they agreed, but in the end I had to call the front desk every day from the next day onwards. .The front desk staff can hardly speak Japanese. The Korean woman could only speak a little Japanese. However, the location and scenery are good, so there is a possibility that I will use it again. We also saw fireworks at the Hilton. It's also helpful that there is an ABC store nearby.Rooms: You can see the sea clearly from the room. Sometimes there are rainbows too!

We chose the Halepuna over the Royal Hawaiian and we were not disappointed. It’s not the Pink Palace of the Pacific however it is a very nice relaxing hotel that is not “Busy.”We were looking for something more relaxing and quiet this time and we were not disappointed! The staff is amazing and always willing to assist you with anything needed at any time.Location is great for walking as everything we enjoy is within walking distance to the Halepuna. Also no resort fees and the pool/hot tub are amazing and were never crowded.Just to be clear we love the Royal Hawaiian, just wanted to try something new and this place is Wonderful!Rooms: Rooms are amazing and the housekeeping staff did a magnificent job of maintaining them for us.Nearby activities: Shopping at the Royal Hawaiian shopping center is great!Safety: We always felt very safe here. The front doors lock at 9 pm which is nice but your key will get you in.Walkability: Excellent walkability to everything we enjoy!Noteworthy details: Halekulani Bakery is Amazing!

It is modern, a hotel with everything digital, from the lights, the bathroom, as well as both pools designed flush with the sea, unifying the view of the sunset...which magnifies your enjoyment...it is boutique and luxury.Nearby activities: You go directly to the Waikiki sea, walk around and have all the hotel complex, shops and bars, restaurants... and whatever you are looking for. High levelSafety: Very sureWalkability: For all its facilities and its surroundings
