Vibes are cute, that's why I wanted a go.. a drink, like why not? The girls are nice, but why did I pay almost 100 for my hair to go flat. I wanted a blow out & volume . Instead my hair was straighter and flatter within one hour, more than if I would've done it myself. Had I known they were going to blow dry my hair straight and then take a wand to it, I would've done it myself and wouldn't anyway because it won't hold a curl. Anyway, I was pretty disappointed and wouldn't go back.

Love this location! Came for my mom’s birthday and Jen was very accommodating. We were early with our appt and was assisted right away. The staff were all polite and helpful. Lastly, Jamie did amazing job with my hair. Highly recommend!

Such a great experience! I was gifted a styling session for my birthday and it was such a treat. Make sure to ask for Jasmine! She was very sweet and did a great job on my super long and crazy hair.

I was here for a dry style appointment. My stylist was running behind schedule for about 5 minutes, so I chatted with the receptionist for a bit and told her that I wanted long lasting curls for an event, and she suggested that I get tight curls if that's the case. She was friendly and informative. Andre was my hairstylist. I wasn't sure how I wanted my hair done exactly so I asked for his recommendations. We settled with the "Cosmo", voluminous loose curls. I asked that he make my curls last all day. When he started curling with a straightener, I asked him to be gentle because I was uncomfortable with so much tension from the pulling, but that's how we would achieve tight curls according to him. Well, who would have thought that was the beginning of the nightmare. Before I even got to take a careful look of my hairstyle, he already sprayed it down with hairspray. I ended up with Shirley Temple hair! He didn't even check what I thought of the result and wanted to hurry me out because his next client was here. I already lost 5 minutes of my appointment time and they wanted to shortchange me of the 30 minutes I paid for. They did give me a helpful tip to brush out my hair throughout the day to soften the curls... kind of hard when you have so much hairspray in it. Customer service could have been better. Hairstylist could have been more interactive. I got my drink 15 minutes into my appointment so that could have come sooner. The delivery and service weren't worth $35 plus tips.

Absolutely terrible experience. The woman drying my hair had no idea what she was doing. I have shoulder length hair, nothing crazy. After 90 minutes it was still damp and frizzy, and it wasn’t frizzy when I went in. She didn’t rough dry it, just went and tried to blow dry soaking wet hair with a round brush. The woman in charge said “oh she’s new, she not familiar with our products and tools” and then it was “Well she’s still in training and everyone has to start somewhere”. Seriously, save your money, your patience and your hair follicles and go somewhere else.

I am very disappointed with my experience at Dry Bar in Kakaako. I had read some bad reviews but still wanted to give it a chance. I made an appointment over the phone. I did not get the girl's name who took down my appointment but she took down my credit card to secure my appointment. I typically don't just do blowouts but I wanted it for a special occasion. When I get there to check in, the front desk girl looked confused as she try to search for my appointment. I tell her that I made it over the phone and the girl took down my credit card. The front desk girl then sees my name on file and my card but that there is no appointment made. That makes no sense to me that they would have my info but no appointment reserved. Then she tells me that they unfortunately have no openings at this time but that I can come at 11am (my appointment was at 10am which was already cutting it close). I was surprised to see that I only saw 1 stylist there. At this point this I am pretty upset because I had driven all the way down here. This was a mistake on their part and the girl seemed to be very nonchalant about it. She did say that she would have the manager call me since she wasn't there at the time. If you plan to come here, make sure you call them to confirm your appointment! Very unprofessional here.
