There is a water cooler/restroom!The prices are high for the Kakaako area, as they sell organic products. If you were based in Waikiki, this is the kind of store you would go to if what you wanted was only available here.I bought a slice of pizza here and ate it for two people (it was big enough). Perhaps by chance, there were no pizzas with meat in them. I wonder if the restaurant as a whole is vegan? From here, we walked to Whole Foods, Ward Village, and Ala Moana Center. Perhaps because it was daytime, I was able to walk around without feeling scared (there were also a few tourists).

Hotbar is so overpriced 14.99/lb as of April 2024! A small container of food easily goes over $15! used to go to lunch here daily but they reduced their hotbar menu, raised their prices during Covid and never came back down. Whole Foods down the street has consistently better pricing and better selection. I wish I could keep supporting DTE but I just can't afford it. Get your prices under control DTE

I bought kombucha. The deli looks delicious too, so I'd like to buy it next time.

Great selection of tasty foods with friendly cashiers who remember me and tables outside and inside to sit and eat and/or drink the purchased items. The vegan mango cheesecake could definitely use improvement though-- the mango was too sweet, the "cheese" part didn't even resemble cheesecake, and the price tag ($6) is a bit higher than I'd prefer.

I love how this area tries to help support local businesses, and I would say Down to Earth is the perfect place to do so. Located in Kaka'ako right below a residential apartment, Down to Earth is a medium-sized Hawaiian-based grocery store, that has primarily organic, natural and well-being goods. While it is a convenience for the folks who live around here, it is on the pricier side. But the guarantee is that you are always guaranteed fresh and local goods. They also have a food court where you can get some good and healthy food. It's not big -- I would say in size comparison, it's comparable to a CVS in the mainland, but it still has everything you need and they're open from 7AM-10PM which makes it a huge plus. I was able to buy some coconut water here and I frequented this place as it was right below the place I was crashing at.

Nice place to eat for a deli meal..there are vegan cheese options..I've enjoyed the Amy burger, foccatia panini- a hot sandwich; not all sandwiches are to order..they have a grab and go selection of deli foods..the seating section is small with maybe 4 or 5 metal tables..ordering is done by kiosks; which I don't care for..I haven't been trained neither am I an employee so I don't like creating my sandwich..it's easier when someone asks you what you do or don't want on your order..the employees seems busy but they will answer questions and help you with the kiosk

Wonderful grocery store! Loved their hot foods section with all the plant-based options. Discounted options also available later in the day, like musubis and pizza. Great service every time we have been there. Very inclusive environment. Not the cheapest grocery store, but wonderful for many heath-promoting foods and options. Also love their bulk section.

I love coming to Down to Earth for the amazing choice of local/ organic vegetables and their dark chocolate is always the best deals around. I stop by pretty frequently about 2 to 3 times a week, but every I go in and see Mildred working I know she’s going to start problems. Every time I check out I try to avoid her checkout line. I usually stop by in the morning when she’s usually there and her attitude ruins my entire whole morning/day. I love how Down to Earth is very convenient for me because it’s on the way to work. But I think I’m going start shopping at Whole Foods from now on.Mahalo Down to Earth

Down to Earth is a good healthy alternative to eating out at lunch. The hot food here tastes good except it sits out too long. I've eaten a variety of dishes and it tastes good if it's just made. The problem is a lot of it is out from the morning so by lunchtime its been out for a couple of hours. This time I had the Mediterranean pizza; artichokes, mushrooms, onions, zucchini, squash. I've had it fresh and its good. Today it seems like it was out for a while so the crust is hard and it tastes a little dehydrated. The flavor is still good though. I also had a piece of the Greek pizza, which was fresher and much tastier. I would recommend getting the foods they prepare when you order it, like their signature burger is very good. Its tasty and hard to believe I there's no meat. Other sandwiches and burgers are made when you put in your order so they'll be fresh. Service is not the fastest but okay. The place is usually quiet and peaceful. Never crowded or bustling so it can be relaxing. The main thing is you feel healthy after eating here!
