They were very good with our Shiba, she was starting to blow out her dinner coat and they washed and brushed her out, tried her nails and she came out a happy dog.

My poor doggo . . . my son and i constantly clipping and trimming on him - he was looking pretty shaggy and uneven. I knew i needed to take him somewhere to get everything evened up. The reviews here were great, so i gave them a shot. The outcome: my dog looked fabulous! Great communication - i told the groomer that i wanted scissor cut and to even everything up, leaving him 1" length all around. Basically i wanted a puppy cut, because my baby is only 8 months old. Oh, and i told her "no bows on the ears, he's a boy, not a girl" So instead of a bow, we got a feather! LOL very cute but he had that feather off by the time we got home. Oh, and IDK what they use on his fur to make him smell so good, but he still smells fresh, a week later! You get great services here - everything was done perfectly (even brushed his teeth) but its not cheap, so be prepared to drop pretty close to a Benjamin to get it done.

This establishment has no resemblance to it's website description of Japanese service/connections. Excuse given is that the Covid has sent workers back to Japan and it really shows in the service received. Poor grooming and poor explanation of why additional charges were included remains. The non- Japanese immigrant groomer only knows the term "tangle" when trying to explain additional charges. I was hoping to get the traditional Japanese scissor cut previously received by my former groomers (shop closed when their lease expired). Not so. Stay away until the covid conditions improve so workers can return.

Our dog, Hank was found in a ditch he was black when he was brought in. They bathed him and he was silver. We brought him home this past Wed and were able to give him a bath today. We wanted to treat him to his first real bath and give him the attention he’s not gotten in a while. We are so pleased with the love and care he received at the Dog Salon Kahala! We will be bringing him back regularly. Thank you! The first picture is him when he was found, the second is him before walking into the salon, the third is of him now!!! He’s beautiful

Moved to Hawaii 3 months ago and so needed to find a groomer. Cody was top notch - was attentive and interested on the type of cut we wanted and his work exceeded our expectations. Will definitely take Easton back to Kahala dog grooming- I highly recommend Cody and Dog Salon Kahala!

Thank you to Cody for giving my dog, Mico, his holiday grooming . I live in the neighborhood so switched to Dog Salon Kahala as I can walk there but it's more than a convenience ! Cody returns phone calls expeditiously and is always courteous. Mico always comes home smelling nice and looking clean cut! I appreciate their care of Mico and great customer service .

They do a fairly good job of grooming, but checked and for the 100.00 I had expected his ears to be free of hair. Normally I check but didn't and he came back with hair in his ears.

Love to bring my dog here! With COVID, they have different precautions they're taking - masks are being worn and when I get there I just call them to come pick up my dog from the parking lot (Cody is usually working and has always been the man who picks up Meeko from the car). Their main phone is an Apple iPhone so you can text them exact pictures of the haircut you wish to achieve for your fur baby. Meeko is a Pomchi and his haircut takes about 3-3.5 hours for a full service.

We have been taking our dog, Pumpkin, there for the past 3-4 years. They are always gentle with him as he is a senior dog. He goes in a bit scruffy, but comes out adorable and smells so good! I highly recommend anyone taking their dog here!

Tucked away in territorial savings plaza, this little shop back in the courtyard was clean and efficient. They took my lil guy as a walk in and did a good job on his nails a anal expression. Cash only. Fair price. Same as vet or Petco. Cody who helped us intituallr took his time letting Diggy get used to him and the other groomer seemed to be as gentle as he could given Diggy major wiggling/resistance. Recommend this nice lil salon

Our search for a new groomer began after an unfortunate incident about a year ago at another salon and eventually led us to Dog Salon Kahala. I think they do a pretty good job overall. The staff is always friendly and they seem to enjoy their work. They don't take credit cards and that's a little inconvenient but Ipo always looks pretty sporty after her appointment even though it sometimes takes a couple of tries to get her hair just right. The reason I don't go higher than threes stars with my review is because Ipo doesn't like going to Dog Salon Kahala. I don't know why. She doesn't want to get out of the car when we get there and will try to follow me out if one of the staff isn't carrying her. Ultimately, that's why our search continues.

It nearly closed last year when the ownership changed hands. Thank goodness the employee that left for the mainland came back to run the place. His voice is on the voicemail. I was skeptical of the carbonated bath but it does make my dogs fur softer than when i bathe him art home. The price is just right and I can easily get an appointment within the week unlike the other carbonated dog salon with a month long back log.
