If you are into pop culture anime or video games, this is your place to waste money on cool things. If you like looking at unique merchandise this is a great place to visit that's kid friendly.
If you are walking around Ala Moana stop in for a visit. You will probably see something that you don't need but you want to buy it anyway.

Absolutely love shopping at boxlunch located at Ala Moana mall. The products are of the highest quality and the variety is insane. The staff are standouts and are friendly and charming. One time I accidentally left a beanie on the counter that I had purchased, and Ashley who rang up my order contacted me and went above and beyond and delivered my item to me on her own time because she knew I was without a vehicle while staying in Waikiki. I was extremely impressed with the customer service and care! Mahalo boxlunch staff, you're all rockstars!

BUYER BEWARE of BoxLunch Money scam. Store claims that you will receive $15 worth of BoxLunch Money for every $30 that you spend. The store no longer issues a physical coupon stating that BoxLunch Money is now digital. I went back to the store during the redemption period expecting to receive a $15 discount on my purchase but was told that I did not have any BoxLunch Money rewards. The clerk claims that the 2 purchases that I made in August were under $30 so I did not earn any BoxLunch Money. However, I spent over $30 in July but the clerk claims that that purchase was made on the last day of redemption so no rewards were earned. I find it very strange that the store had the signs out regarding earning BoxLunch Money on the day that I made my purchase, and the clerk also told me that the coupons are now digital so they did not have a coupon to give me.I will just wait another week and go to Hot Topic where I have $45 dollars of Hot Cash. And, YES, I have actual coupons to prove that I did earn the rewards. Unfortunately, I think that Hot Topic is also doing away with the physical coupons so customers, may, or may not get the promised discount. It is very sad that a national store like BoxLunch would scam customers. I have spent a lot of money there in the past, but will take my business elsewhere from now on.

I’ve been shopping at other boxlunch locations for a few years. This is the only one that gave me issues. It’s disappointing to realize that this particular store, in my home where Aloha has always been common, hired an employee with the temperament of a toddler. Although, that’s not entirely true. I’ve seen toddlers with more emotional regulation than she displayed.Anyways, during checkout, she asked for my number. Then she said, “your number isn’t associated with an account. We will get that changed and you signed up.” I told her no, thanks. She then said, “it will help Maui get mail.” I told her that I was alright. Her entire demeanor changed. She then started huffing and puffing. Rolling her eyes and shaking her head. Aggressively pressing buttons(which had me holding back laughter, tbh). At one point, she pulled out her phone for a few seconds then shoved it back in her pocket. I waited for her to use her words like an adult but she didn’t even look up. She handed me my receipt then sarcastically shouted after me to have a great day. Something about that entire interaction tells me she throws full blown tantrums when she doesn’t get her way outside of work. Here is my take on this: 1. Why is a multimillion dollar company exploiting customers when they can literally just send help to Maui? I don’t even have 1% of the company’s worth($17 million) and have spent hundreds in donations to assist because it is a devastating loss and Maui needs help. 2. This is a tragic event. Not something anyone should be using as a means to make whatever quota you have. 3. That employee should NOT be working a customer facing job until she learns how to properly respond when being told no…you know, like toddlers are taught to do.

BoxLunch is a great store. Much more inviting than its sister store, Hot Topic. Tons of movie and video game merchandise. Makes a great place to do gift shopping.

Great store to find the latest anime, manga, anime, tv show trends, clothes, buttons, backpacks and more. If you or someone you know is a fan of anything pop culture related, from Stranger Things to Anime shows, this is the store to visit. You will find a lot of products here, from figurines, stickers, belts, candies, magnets, shirts, hats and much more. The store was very well organized and clean. The employees were very nice and welcoming as well. It is a bit tight in here when there are a lot of people so it is difficult to navigate through when you are walking around or trying to look at something. But overall, a great store with a wide range of products from popular pop culture shows, games and anime.

Always a great experience with Boxlunch! Came in on 10/14 with my baby and my sister. It was very spacious that I could push my stroller around the store without worrying that I’d hit something or knock something off a shelf. They have a great baby selection as well. And the employees were very kind. My son chose a shark and was in love with it that he just had to have it. Thank you ladies for your friendly customer service!

Customer service at its worst. While browsing in store the other day, I overheard the cashier telling the customer that his shirt was inside (which I thought was a nice gesture) he then said he did it on purpose. But later when she asked ask if he wanted to donate a few change to round up, he said no that he needed the change. The (lady) cashier seemed insisted on rounding up his change to be donated to feed the hunger, be he still declined. At the end of the transaction the cashier told the guy you probably don't need the receipt anyways, and he replied yes I do. I was a bit shocked the she "assumed" that he didn't need the receipt or should of donated.
